It was only okay. The food came kind of slow and I don’t live that far away. It was also kind of unnecessarily greasy. The prices are good though, so you basically get what you pay for.

Save time and a trip here. It’s a shame and a waste of space now that Wilbur’s is gone. Go to Luke’s on Harlem, Jays across the street, even go to Flips Broilers down the block!!! Customer service really sucks, frozen hamburger from a microwave tastes better! Guy at register very argumentative when asking him simple questions about menu, started almost yelling and telling us we were wrong when asking about fresh brewed iced tea — we were told«bottle or fountain, choose one» — and when we said how Wilbur’s had it guy said«NO!!! I’ve been here 3mos and he never had a machine!!» Different owners — female who came up and pointed out that we should know that they have things that aren’t on their menu board«because it’s the same as our location in the mall!» They use spear cut pickles for their burgers, fried cauliflower no longer has cheese in it, food isn’t even mediocre at best. Waste of time & money. Should’ve gone to White Castles even. Will never be back.

I still haven’t gotten over there but I’ve ordered from here a couple of times and have to say that the food is consistently good to excellent. Today I ordered a garden burger with a side of steamed veggies, and a chocolate shake. The burger was fantastic and I’m sitting here wishing I had another one right now. The steamed veggies were pretty much just frozen mixed veggies, but they were lightly steamed and tasty enough in spite of having a lot of corn. No, I don’t like it once it’s off the cob. The chocolate shake was collapse-the-straw thick and had a nice flavor. Definitely worth ordering again. Today’s lunch earned Wilbur’s a fourth star because it wasn’t just good, it made a bad day better. Well played, WIlbur.

My teacher had taken our class of twenty seven or so kids here as a reward for doing well on an exam, and when we stepped in, the customers looked a bit mortified(but hey, if a mob of teenagers are coming at you, I think you would feel the same way.) Anyways, with the food, you would have thought that perhaps their quality would have gone down due to the demand — Not a fat chance. The food was great, it was the classic American type. I had the chicken breast sandwich(which came with fries) that I honestly fell INLOVE with. It was such a large sandwich, and it was very filling. It was that GOOD kind of fast food, not like the McDonald’s kind, which you eat and then feel empty(though if you want that experience, it’s right across the street). The fries were great, greasy and wonderful. I would return to this place with my family and order the chicken sandwich once again, or perhaps try something else, it all just depends on my mood.

Wilbur’s has been here now roughly along as the«new» Wilbur Wright college campus across the street and I doubt they would still be in business if their food was bad now would they? In 1998 when I took classes at Wright I would stop in for lunch and it was good then. Today 13 years later I am still a customer, my family orders weekly from them on burger night and they are just as good. The owner really, yes he sincerely cares if you’re unhappy with something and will do his best to make it right and I appreciate that. The Good: The burgers and wings are particularly good! Always charred, juicy and loaded up. Good service and the owner cares. They now offer free wi-fi. The restrooms are clean and NOT nasty. The Bad: Things to stay away from are the pizza, which is really hit or miss with them and some of the items they get in frozen like pizza puffs and tamales. Shakes are a little bland, but acceptable. When classes are in session it can be a bit crowded. The Ugly: The parking lot absolutely horrible. Its small parking lot also caters to UPS Store, a Lee’s Nails, and Utopia Cigars. Too many stores too few spaces. Two street entrances and no marked exits, student walking everywhere in every direction — this all leads up to chaos on a daily basis. You have been warned Overall: A fantastic local burger place, friendly, good quality on most menu items, nice ambiance.

So we decided to try delivery from here. Very diassapointed. The pizza arrived smashed to one side and barely edible. I ordered other stuff which was fantastic but disspointed on delivery. We called and the guy on the phone said that this driver always does this to the pizzas. SO im telling you to beware! They sent us another pizza ASAP

I love this place. Out of all the hot dog joints in the neighborhood(and there are a lot) this place is the best by far. The food is fast, priced just right, and the owner makes you feel like a million bucks when you go there.

I like wilburs. The fires are great, the food is always fresh. The owner always remembers us and is always nice to deal with. Plus, they usually have something I have a taste for. It’s not your usual, burger and hot dog joint. They have a variety of items.

We stumbled on this charming place quite accidentally today. We were picking up lunch and heading over to Jean C’s house and our original destination was closed on Sundays. We drove past Wilbur’s and stopped. It was a bright cheery fast food place with vintage airplane décor, including planes hanging from the ceiling. They offered not only free wi-fi, but terminals as well. If you facebook friend them you can access discount coupons. Not a bad deal. We did carry out and tried the hot dogs, burgers, fries, pizza puffs, wings and the individual pizza. The dogs were standard good Chicago dogs, the fries were not bad, burgers were good and juicy. The pizza puffs weren’t great, but not overly greasy and pretty tasty. The wings were surprisingly moist and flavorful, though not as hot as I would have liked. The only disappointment was the individual pizza. I tried the sausage pizza and it was rather bland as though there was no seasoning added. For an accidental find, we were really pleased with almost everything we picked up. The place was very clean and cheerful, including the bathrooms. I can imagine that on weekdays, the place is really hopping with college kids. Glad we stopped here on a Sunday!

I love the owner of this place. He’s a got a good business plan going for him: charm the socks off of your customers. with niceness. I swear he greets every single person that walks into this place like a regular. The restaurant has free wi-fi and is strangely quiet and relaxing although it can get pretty crowded during lunch on week days(Wright College is across the street). The food is standard fare, with a few veggie options and I was told that he’s looking into bringing a veggie dog to the menu. I hope so. We’re in the area a lot, and this is a great place to drop in for some good, cheap eats.

Wilbur’s is a stone’s throw away from my house, and I usually take a relaxing walk here whenever I get the craving for a gyro. The owner is a real nice guy; he’s all smiles and makes you feel right at home. The prices and food are pretty good for your typical fast food joint. Plus, there’s free wi-fi! Wright College is right across the street, so I guess that explains it. It also explains the hanging model planes on the ceiling(think about it), a point I discovered a few months ago. It’s a shame, I know. Parking can be an issue here, seeing that its small parking lot also caters to a Lee’s Nails, UPS Store, and Utopia Cigars, so beware; unless you like getting your nails done after shipping a box of Cuban cigars to distant relatives. But, it’s a good restaurant nonetheless.
