Not our favorite, but it does the trick on a hot day. This little park off of Peoria has pretty low paw traffic except for before and after the normal 9 – 5 work day. When it is populated with pups the owners are nice and responsible for the most part. There’s no poop bags and as I mentioned, it is pretty tiny space but there’s a kiddie pool to cool off in and parking is usually pretty easy to find. There’s better places in town, but if you’re within walking distance it’s a pretty good choice.

What can I really say here. The park is very small and it is 80% cement. The parking is free until the end of March 2015 then the pay boxes go live when the weather warms up. At the end of the day my dog does have a good time here because that’s just how he do. He will run and play but I worry about him spending too much time running on concrete. While I know he prefers fields of grass or the beach this park is conveniently located close to home. I think it would be cool if someone would design a multi-leveled dog park with real grass. Maybe throw in some water fountains for the pups and maybe some cool little fountains or water features to entertain the humans and dogs. But I digress… West loop dog park is small and kind of lacking amenities for the fur balls. I would recommend if your passing by, but I would not recommend making a special trip.

This is a pretty good dog park. I would say it’s a little small and on really nice weekend days it can get fairly crowded! It is almost completely cement with a fountain and hose in the middle. It definitely reeks a bit of urine. The people and dogs who come to this park are all friendly and it’s pretty close to our pet store, Pet Stuff. It’s really close to Paw Naturals, but they are a bit overpriced!

This little dog park is much smaller than the Ohio Street one but is action packed. Pros: Location is killer Multiple levels to run around Sprint ramps Double fence entrance(no escape artists here!) Next to pet shop Cons: Mostly concrete Multiple levels to run into No grass Icy, slippery in winter All in all, decent dog park. We will definitely be back.

Not a fan. It is all cement– and a water fountain in the middle– so the dogs are running and slip and sliding all over. Not safe at all. Dogs lay and pee in the same water bowl other dogs drink out of. We will not be going back. The only benefit is that it is convenient.

This is a good park. Responsible and friendly dog owners. Lots of big dogs. Square footage is a little on the smaller size but not tiny. If your dogs likes playing,(s)he will definitely have a buddy to play with here. Haven’t been here in the middle of the summer yet but from the sounds of these kiddie pools and hoses, I’ll have to come check it out! Also, don’t bring kids. I’ve seen a toddler get body slammed on the concrete by an overly enthusiastic dog. If they want to see the doggies, let them watch from outside the fence, out of major harms way.

I took my miniature schnauzer here a couple times. He’s only about 8 months old so I want him to learn to socialize with other dogs. The other dogs weren’t bad. He was a little intimidated by them but he’s learning. Most of the dogs here were large dogs. The other dog owners here seems pretty chill and they keep an eye on their own dog. Every dog owner I saw there picked up after their pet so I appreciate that. However, there are some dog poop left by some other owners before I got there. It’s a simple park with plenty of room for your pet to run around while you can still keep a good eye on them.

This is a great dog park! It’s super clean! The bubbly water fountain is my puppy’s favorite, and since it’s circulating you don’t have to worry about the pups drinking out of it. Other awesome things? –Lots of concrete levels for sitting and jumping –Two Kiddie Pools that are easy to fill with the hoses –Generally owners watch their dog/pick up poop. –Easy metered street parking –Bulletin Board with info/ads to look at –Kitty Corner from Paw Naturals incase you need to buy something on the way home Avoid rush hour though! From 4:30 — 6:30pm(especially in the summer) the park tends to get over crowded with dogs and there’s a clique of people regulars that aren’t very friendly.
