Walgreens

My rating is for the pharmacy, not the store itself. This pharmacy needs to improve their customer service and overall efficiency. I keep experiencing this pharmacy not listening to their ordering physician line in that my meds have not been filled because the vm isn’t listened to entirely, and when I called in about it, the tech apparently doesn’t believe what I’m saying saying/​nor takes it seriously. I’ve had to wait a few days until my med was ready because someone wasn’t listening to the vms.
Also, when picking up meds, they do not have an express check out. I had a tech assisting a gentleman w/​some coupon issue although there was a long line. She didn’t look up once to say she’ll be w/​us, she never called for backup, and then when she was done w/​the man, she answered the phone instead of help the next customer. And she continued to do this. Typically people in line get helped first, and callers wait. Their order of operations was just out of whack. I missed 2 buses due to waiting in line to pick up a med that was ready. The only benefit is my insurance covered all of it lol. Regardless, if you have a med to fill here, although it’s a conveniently placed store, you will waste time. Go to another Walgreens pharmacy better equipped to handle the loop area.

Girlllllll its Walgreens, all the same, ²⁴⁄₇ and have everything you need. Wait is a bit long at times but yeah its Walgreens. I have no clue why I am reviewing it… oh yea cause the wait is long both at Pharmacy and Check-​Out.

Very rude manager! Denied the bathroom to a pregnant woman.

I live down the street from this Walgreens unfortunately and mostly every time I go in there, I have a bad experience.
First off, there’s ALWAYS a long line, and the cashiers are pretty slow, a quick trip turns into 15 minutes.
What lead me to writing this Unilocal review today is solely based on their Customer Service, in which I don’t even think they know the meaning of that. Most of the time their cashiers are rude, complaining to each other about their personal lives, but today I experienced rudeness and humiliation by a «manager» by the name of Antonette.
I have a service dog in which I keep on the leash when I walk around Walgreens. I was in the aisle looking at novelty cards, and I hear someone yelling at me all the way from the cashier station! «Excuse me, mam! You need to pick your dog up!!» I advise her he’s a service dog and I have the documents with me, but yet she keeps continuing to yell at me in front of all the customers! If she was smart, she would have calmly approached me, instead of yelling across the customers and the store. Finally the manager came up and literally snatched the paper out of my hand and basically shoved it back in my face without even looking at the paper. I was appalled and couldn’t believe that someone with manager status would ever talk to or treat a paying customer that way! She treated me like a POS in front of a line of 5 people. I live in this neighborhood, and found it very embarrassing that she made this scene. I asked for her name as she stormed off and she grabbed her name tag and waved it very angrily and said «Antonette!» Let me tell you something Antonette, you work in a field where you are supposed to treat customers properly, in which you failed miserably! I don’t know what that Walgreens is thinking by having this lady work for them, she is not qualified for this position, she doesn’t even have the skills to work at McDonald’s. I will be taking my business to CVS across the street, in which I’ve never had a problem there.

I come to this Walgreens all the time. When you first walk in the store it seems kinda sparse but they tend to have everything I ever have been looking for. The prices can be a little higher but if you have a rewards card, you can get some deals sometimes. I lost my card so I always have to look it up… which sucks. This location also does not carry liquor but I heard rumor that might change soon. What annoys me the most is that the loitering that used to be in front of the old Jewel is now in front of Walgreens which makes me want to go here as little as possible. There is a CVS across the street but they have other problems which make it less then a real alternative.

Terrific Walgreens. I’ll start by saying the aisles are nice and wide, there’s no bumping into people. It’s clean, and the store is well organized in shelving their merchandise and the photo processing is very good.
Most of all, I shop here because of the super selection. I was impressed that they carried batteries for a clock that other hardware stores did not. But most of all, their selection of food, paper goods, cosmetics, lotions vitamins, shampoos, all variety of medical needs, dental, deodorants, and fruits can not be beat. You cannot compare this Walgreens to CVS. It’s selection is fantastic and thank you to the manager and buyer for this store for making it so good. I stop here frequently, instead of going to the larger grocery stores in the area, and the merchandise quality at this Walgreens is just as good or better. It’s fun to browse the aisles.

I feel strange rating a Walgreens, but I must say, I go in this one more than women visit Target.
Wanted to compliment the staff here, always friendly and knowledgeable. Had on incident where I needed a manager’s help and she was very professional and also knew why I was having an issue. Followed-​up as she said she would and resolved my problem. A+
My only complaint is the clearance aisle, it lures me to purchase unneeded items like 450 Tylenol packs reduced from $ 40 to $ 3, oversized calculators and almost expired candy. I did have one run-​in w/​the Pharmacy — the guy working there was rude, lied to me and had an attitude, but I consider him a one-​off issue.

Rudeness galore! Except for just a few employees.
I try to leave out just as quickly as I come in.
Two stars for their convenient location and always having everything that I need.

My SD card went bad. I’m on vacation going to the zoo and a wedding tomorrow. Obviously this is not acceptable and I need a replacement ASAP. Sure I can take some pictures on my phone, but the battery life is not great and without a car here there is no charging in between hotel stops so camera necessary.
Stopped at several places along the way. No SD cards for under $ 40 or at all. Ugh. But at this location they were fully stocked all kinds several prices. And it was perfect timing I got them on sale! The photo manager was very helpful.
Now we are off fully equipped

To be perfectly honest, this might be my favorite Walgreens. I know, right? It’s spacious and has all kinds of items (including a freezer section!). The isles are wide and well organized. There are self checkout lanes.
During our most recent visit, M got a passport photo within ten minutes. We looked for Emergen-​C and only found two different kinds. We would have liked a greater selection, but it’s still better than the selection at the nearby Jewel (they don’t have any). I would have expected better of a drug store though.
We enjoyed looking a artificial Christmas trees (they all looked fake, but I suppose they’d be good if you just want a cheap tree). I loved seeing all the seasonal knickknacks.
I was surprised to see a few hair care products for black women and girls. I don’t think that the Walgreens near me has that section.
I suppose that that the two major drawbacks of this store are:
1) No parking lot.
2) Not enough variety of certain pharmacy items.

I have been searching around for this one stupid single item forever! Don’t get me wrong I could just order it online and pay the $ 10 shipping, but come on really for a 3 dollar item??? I did a web-​pick up thinking its not in this store, but walgreens said it would be ready in one hour. Ta da! My search was finally over! Received my web confirmation in little less than an hour. The cashier was super friendly, knowledgeable and quite funny to be honest. The store is clean, brightly lit and the aisles are wide… sorry cvs you gets no love with your narrow aisles!

1) the staff make this walgreens exceptional from just being another generic store. They are so helpful.
2) I have this addiction of wandering this store and I never leave without buying something
3) keep checking and you get various essentials on sale

It’s kind of like London Drugs back home minus the electronics department. You can get everything here at all hours. I once had a stomach ache from eating Popeyes and I bought Tums and ate it! Tummy better!

I have needs. Random needs. Like wine glasses on a Tuesday night cause two of my friends were coming over and I broke my other glasses. I think to myself, I bet Walgreens has them and sure enough after walking over, they did. Granted they were in the seasonal section (why? I have no idea) and are no longer there, they were there when I needed them.
Besides helping me be a lush, this store is just overall kind of spiffy. Its staffed by the friendliest bunch of people who are always super helpful, they have an Icee machine to help beat the summer blues and the makeup section always has some type of promotion going on. Count me as a fan!

This review of this particular Walgreen’s is basically a companion piece to the review of the CVS that bookends the east side of Division. And this review is strictly for the Division Street drinking experience.
Should you find yourself exiting one of the fine establishments on Division between State and Dearborn after a night of drinking, find yourself in need of sustenance and don’t want to brave Chi-​Town Pizza or Five Faces, then go to this Walgreen’s and pick up your grub. You’ll find that the selection of grub is much more expansive than what you’ll find over at the CVS. You’ll have to brave the bevy of drunks and the dregs of society hanging out on the corner, but if you want post-​lube grub in a pinch that won’t kill you, then this is your place. Just make sure you get in and get out quickly. Do not linger anywhere in or around this store. Load up and ex-​scape right quick. You know what I’m sayin’?

A first to review, for a Walgreens… who would’ve thought it?
I normally wouldn’t review a chain drugstore, but this particular Walgreens really impressed me. I had a few extra minutes before dinner at neighboring Chicago q (man, does it kill the grammarian in me to not cap that q!) and decided to waste them at good ol’ Walgreens. Except there is nothing ‘old’ about this store — according to an extremely friendly staffer, the store has recently received a makeover. It’s large, pristine and the aisles of merchandise are very long, making for a clean, uncluttered look. I didn’t feel overwhelmed like I do at many of the downtown Walgreens locations. And, the line moved quickly with three efficient, smiling staffers working.
Wonderful beverage line-​up (I love the hard-​to-​find Arizona blueberry white tea), an especially deep selection of greeting cards and a decent travel-​size toiletries section. The best part? They’re open 24/​7, just for you.

I love me some Walgreen’s. They are darn near on every other corner downtown — and boy are they a welcome sight when you need something!
The prices are very competitive. They have great specials. And those ‘lunch box’ cookies made fresh — the shortbread, is to die for! The cakes are good, too.
This store is well-​stocked and always has surprise items, like $ 1 hand soap — which is great for the budget.
They are almost always cheaper than CVS — but I do shop there, if Walgreen’s doesn’t have what I need or I have a special coupon.

They lock the body wash up and I really don’t get it. Why the body wash? It’s not expensive OR sharp. Also– be prepared to get bombarded with bums outside. Otherwise, it’s quite lovely.
