I really like the food at this restaurant.
Had a bad experience today (waited 2+ hours for my food to be delivered 3 doors down).
However, immediately after writing my detailed review I was contacted by the owner which I very well appreciate. He was very apologetic and understanding.
People like that deserve another chance.

The service was okay! They need more workers! My battered tacos were burnt on the bottom. But other than that the flavor was good!!!

The best salads everrrrr. Thanks to them being on grub hub I order here very regularly. You have to try one of their salads.

Ordered the taco platter. Was immediately disappointed that I could only choose one kind of meat for my three tacos. That is definitely not the norm in this city with so many taquerias. It seems reasonable to request three different tacos.
I was then further disappointed when I went to pay and learned that the price for the entrée was $ 1.00+ more than the price on the menu they handed me. They raised the price but did not update the menus they are showing their customers. Makes the customer feel overcharged and ripped off. Very unprofessional. Get new menus!!!

Ordered the Blackhawk deep fried burger. Whoa, this is one flavorful burger, one of the best I’ve had! It is one gooey, messy eat. I will definitely be ordering from this place on a weekly basis.

Omg the Blackhawk burger is amazing. Not too spicy despite having jalapeño and has a great charred taste. The cheese inside the burger wasn’t so much that it was falling out (like I’ve experienced at other places that cook the cheese inside the burger). Fries were great too. The staff was super friendly. We’ll definitely be back.

We order from here all the time. The food has been consistently good and the delivery most usually takes 45m-​1 hour (pretty average timing for freshly cooked food). I’ve tried quite a few different things on the menu and it’s always good. We mostly stick to the Mexican food. Someday I’ll try a salad (I’m an annoying gluten free person so I’ll probably just stick with those options, unless they get gf buns someday?! A girl can dream!!).

I’d order again. delivery was quick food was good. I liked the fries the most, and the burgers are thick.

This is a great spot for high quality burgers and more. The menu is a little overwhelming — ribs, pizza, and tacos in addition to 30+ burger options — but the burgers are where it’s at. Extremely fresh, high quality, and extremely tasty. Honestly this burger stacks up with some of those fancy places that are always on top 10 lists. Friendly service and excellent burgers — give it a try.

Wanted to support a local business so I walked down at 4:10pm only to be greeted by a closed door and sign that read they will be closed at 5:00pm… Now if the sign had said closed at 4 that would be my fault… So disappointed … Lost a customer before you even got her… No I did not «misinterpret» the sign … Take responsibility for your error smh

Tried this neighborhood place for the first time. Ordered delivery via the Eat24 service. I’ll never do that again! The food arrived almost 3 hours after ordering and it was ice cold. Can’t blame VPT, but didn’t really enjoy my meal.

Great burger joint! The beef is very fresh tasting and always cooked just they way I love! We’ve also ordered they’re pizza which is greatest place for this area… We’ve tried many. Tacos are amazing and all food is very reasonably priced!

This was our go-​to burger place when they were in Rogers Park — we were sad to see them go. They have such a great variety of food and such interesting and new flavor combos. We still hit up VPT for a special treat. Glad to see the food is just as good!

This place is close to my boyfriend’s house so we stopped in. I had the burger of the month and he had a burger that was breaded and fried. Both were delicious! It took them a little longer than usual to make our order because they had to make some fresh batter, so the manager gave us some chips and salsa while we waited. The salsa was SO fresh and delicious. This pace is affordable for the type of gourmet burgers they are

Their new location makes it easier for me to come atleast 1 – 2 times a week since it’s closer to my house now, I absolutely love their burgers! My favorite is the Vince’s burger I love the chipotle aoli with that smokey bacon and the most tender meat ever and my brothers is the firecracker burger it’s spicy and perfect ! I give this place 5 stars because they have it all, and everything tastes great, I don’t know any place that can have good tasting Mexican food and American at the same time. Everything is super yummy from tacos, salads, fries, burgers to pizza! They are my all in one number one place in Chicago I swear!

I had the vince burger and the megabeast. Bother were delicious burgers. The tots were great and the fish tacos were amazing. I will be comming back. Its byob so next time with a couple bombers of brew.

VPT is my favorite burger place, hands down. I frequented VPT’s Devon location before the restaurant moved to Western. I have never been disappointed with VPT. Everything is made fresh to order, so be patient! It’s worth it :) BYOB I have ordered just about every burger on the menu, and walked away very satisfied each time. You can choose from different proteins for each burger, or get creative and build your own. Whenever friends come from out of town I bring them to VPT, easily the best burgers around.

Unfortunately, I may never know how VPT is. They are in my neighborhood and I walk/​drive by them frequently. Today, I worked from home and thought, let’s support the new neighborhood restaurant. I checked Unilocal for hours, etc. because I remembered they were closed one of the week days. The site said they were open so I walked over. Door was locked and the sign that generally posted their hours was not there. So, I called just to make sure and was told they were closed for a large catering order.
The person was nice about it and I’m pretty reasonable, but still. I only had a limited amount of time to not only walk over, but wait for the order and head home. I’m happy there is a small business in the neighborhood and glad to see it’s getting good reviews. However, shutting your doors on prospective customers is not a good business model.

I’ve eaten just about everything on the menu at VPT and have never been disappointed! Their burgers are top-​notch and the most creative combinations you could ever think of. The burgers are topped from everything: fried eggs to pineapple to mac and cheese. Seriously, you name it and it’s probably on one of their burgers. One of my personal favorites is the «Helen of Troy» and I always try the «Burger of the Month» (always loved it). And every burger has a vege-​burger option for those who don’t eat meat. Last time I went in I tried something new and had their chicken wings. They were absolutely perfect.
The only negatives that I had at the old location have all now been resolved! They now have a bathroom on site and have expanded on the menu even more. The service is not «fast food», so don’t expect to get your order in 4 minutes. Every burger is cooked to order exactly how you want it and you can taste it.
I would (and do) recommend VPT to all my family and friends.

Wow what colorful menu! They have figured out how to make a burger in many ways!
They have salmon burgers I tried the first time it had a mango pico with sliced avacado. 3 veggie burgers (eggplant, bean, and veggie patty) that alone makes me happy. Since I like that route. Of course your meats, and turkey burgers. You can get pico de gallo, egg, sliced avocado not pre made stuff. Super fresh. Sautéed onions, the list goes on! My daughter ordered pizza and that was super tasty with generous amount of suasage. All the food we ordered was a hit! Can’t wait try more!

I never though I would be able to go to a good burger joint with my wife, 3 kids, my inlaws and have a good experience. VPT is top notch. We were greeted upon entering and I was surprised to see so many types of burgers and food on the menu. I ordered the Vince burger with a fried egg (the egg was cooked to perfection as well) My kids had the cheeseburger, chicken fingers, and pizza. My wife had the Vince as well but with the black bean pattie. My inlaws had a grasshopper and a tropicana (salmon burger). I expected something to be off as it was a sizable order but it wasn’t. What was more amazing was that the food came out at the same time and was just as tasty as you could imagine. Everyone of us were completely satisfied. The fact that they put so many options and execute flawlessly is noteworthy. This is definitely my go to place.
FYI. I tried a piece of my daughters pizza and I would go there for the pizza too. My sons chicken fingers were also very tasty.

What a disappointment. Place empty. Waited forever. Rude staff. Was looking forward to this but no thanks. Resting on their laurels? Clearly. But I want good food in a decent environment with semi mannered folks. This isn’t it.

Funny Grubhub gave me a credit and said you were rude to them as well. Lying and saying your phone wasn’t working, and that is why you couldn’t tell me about your ridiculous policy, is not a great idea.

I love the burgers, milkshakes and sweet potato fries at Vince’s! My boyfriend and I have been been customers for a couple of years — at the old location and new. The quality of the meat and other ingredients is fantastic and the prices are reasonable.
Check out the burger of the month — and give Ivan your suggestions for flavor combos. Ask for my combo, a previous burger of the month: beef burger with cheddar cheese, chili, avocado, chopped onions and sour cream. The Jack in the Box is also great (swiss cheese, onions, mushrooms and thousand island dressing). If you’re trying to reduce carbs, you can get any of the combos in a lettuce wrap and forego the bun. I really like Vince’s Chicken, the empanadas, the steak fajitas and the linguine with shrimp and broccoli, too.
Ivan has a passion for his business and really cares about turning out quality food and creating happy customers. The food is better when we eat in because the toppings are piled a little higher and the fries are sizzling hot. We’ve never had a problem with a delivery from Vince’s whether we’ve placed an order through GrubHub, Eat24 or by calling directly but if you want to check on the burger of the month, it’s better to call because not all the websites list the most up to date info.
Ivan is a sweetheart and the kind of local business owner who deserves support! Everything is cooked to order and delicious. If you want the speed of McDonald’s, you’ll get the styrofoam quality of fast food, too, — but not at VPT.
Definitely a better value and as good a burger, shake and fries as Edzo’s, Fatty’s and Bop ‘N Grill. Check it out!

My family and i have been here many times and had always had a good experience. The burgers are outstanding and made with real beef. The menu has a lot of choices, burgers and salads are my favorite. Burgers have a gourmet touch that makes them very unique and delish

Try VPT for the first time today. Call them twice at 11 10am and 1120am to get carry out but no one picked up. I drove there myself bc I think there were too busy. However, I was the only customer but there was only one guy running the whole restaurant. that’s OK but my rib tip meal is over Cook and hard to chew. $ 9 to the bin after 2 pieces. Anyway 1 star for good fries and garlic bread.

Ok, so I’ll start with two burgers, two orders of waffle fries, and two drinks for $ 31.55. You want to charge those kind of prices you better step up your game. Both burgers were ordered medium and over cooked. $ 4 for waffle fries there was probably about 7 pieces in the basket and came out cold. Burgers were good, but it took about 30 mins to get them. There were 3 cooks on the line it should take no more than 10 mins to make a medium burger. I don’t think I’ll be dining here again. Slow service and over priced.

Wasn’t expecting to be served with quality food at 1am, but thats exactly what we received. Their menu is diverse with a ton of burger, taco and salad options. Everything is made to order and you have a surprising amount of options, type of meat, bun etc.
I ordered the turkey burger «grasshopper style» on a pretzel bun. A pistachio chimichurri sauce accompanied a very high grade, juicy meat patty which was seasoned perfectly. My girl ordered a cheeseburger and was really impressed as well. Topped off with sweet potato fries, crispy and light with tons of flavor and 2 delicious chocolate milkshakes.
All in all VERY impressed with the selection and quality. Definitely recommend at any time of day, but an incredible late night option. This is not fast food, but rather a homemade-​style meal to surely please all. Very friendly staff and owners as well… i foresee this place doing great business and Ill be back for sure!!!

Well after reading the reviews for this place I wanted to try it for myself. I ordered the Vince burger which is outstanding but would probably be even better with a fried egg on it. The loaded fries were also very good this will be my new go to place for burgers. The burgers all look good and I cannot wait to go back.

Great variety of unique burgers! Really well done place. If you’re not in the mood for burgers, they’ve got great pizza and tacos too. I’d put this place up there with Umami Burger at a fraction of the price!

Ok this place is fabulous! It was my 3^rd time here. Each time I try something new and each time I become even more of a raving fan! Today I had the shrimp tacos, and as a Mexican girl who grew up in Arizona, I can safely say that the VPT tacos are the most authentic and fresh tacos I’ve had in all of Chicago.
My boyfriend came with me today and he ordered the burger of the month. I guess they have a unique burger every month. So his was actually a turkey burger because this months burger had a Thanksgiving theme. He took one bite of it and asked me why I had never told him about this place before!
All in all when it comes down to VPT here are three things to know:
1. The food is prepped and made fresh to order right in front of you.
2.The owner (Ivan?) and his staff truly put love into the food and want to make sure each customer has a good experience.
3. You will love it, no matter what flavor you wish to savor!

New place open up by my house. Place looks decent and food smells good.
I ordered the chicken wings in BBQ sauce which was pretty good. We also ordered the atomic tater tots. They weren’t bad but I would have preferred more cheese on them. They say that it has pickled habaneros but I really didn’t taste it. We also ordered a patty melt and a macho mucho burger. Both were really good. The patty melt was nice and juicy and well made. The burger was good filled with guacamole. Overall this place is pretty good. I’ll have to see whether they keep making the food fresh or start making the food pre made.
