Urban Wellness Chicago is a studio offering a variety of Therapeutic Massage modalities, Wellness Services, & More! All of our therapists are well educated and fully licensed. We offer a variety of hours 7 days a week with several therapists. We look forward to seeing you! We are conveniently located in Bucktown by the Damen Blue Line El stop.

We do have a large focus on athletes of all kinds; but many non-​athletes benefit just as much! Repetitive issues, posture issues, body stressors. We can help!

Tiring of the commute to the suburbs where her previous business was located, Terri happened on an incredible location and took it. The economy was not doing that well, but always thinking forward, she did not want to take a pass. So Urban Wellness Chicago was born.

I often work with those in need of injury management and care, those with repetitive strain and pain due to postural misalignment and overuse, as well as adolescents, Pre-​natal clients, and much more. I look forward to working with you too! We all do.»

Meet the Business Owner

Terri Lynn V.

Business Owner

A 1996 graduate of the Chicago School of Massage Therapy (now Cortiva Institute). She was an instructor in both the diploma and continuing education programs at Cortiva Institute-​Chicago, since 2005; where she assisted in curriculum development as well as developed course for advanced education. She assisted Bob King (a co-​founder of the school she attended) in many continuing education workshops in the Chicago area, and other parts of the country. In addition to this, Terri has also developed and taught Anatomy, Physiology, and Pathology courses at Zen Shiatsu in Evanston. She has advanced training in Myofascial Therapy, Sports Massage, Pre-​Natal Massage, Thai Massage, Corrective Exercise, and Personal Training (and more). Terri became a Certified Kinesio Tape Practitioner in 2007, and then a Certified Rock Doc with Rocktape. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois-​Chicago. In practice since 1996.

Finally refers to herself as an athlete.
