I’d been going here for over 5 years & the service & cleaning had always been good. I just don’t like the 5PM closing time over the winter. I’ve seen lots of poor ratings with reviews from people who also say they went here for years with no problems.

It is nice to have a dry cleaners you trust in every city. I was looking for my place in Chicago and my supervisor recommended UNI. Since the recommendation, I always take my shirts here to be clean and pressed and have never had any problems. The employees are really friendly, service is timely, and the end-result has always been great. Only downside is the price which could be lower. I’ve also had my suits dry cleaned here without any problems as well. I would note that the , more info hours of operation are not correct as UNI closes earlier than listed. They do open really early which is perfect. I can get up, drop my shirts off before work, and swing by after work by utilizing UNI’s same-day service. Would definitely recommend!

Will never ever recommend. This place does not even deserve 1 star. I dropped off a formal dress and tossed my pick up ticket. I didn’t think it would be a big deal since they had my information in the system however when I returned to pick up my dress they had no record of it & the dress was missing. The owner insisted I had my cleaners confused. NEVERAGAIN!!!

This is a very dependable, friendly, and well-run place … nice staff, quality cleaning and tailoring, efficient service. I am skeptical of the less than positive reviews.

Worst cleaners, ever. Rude, hasty, and above all, they ruin your dry cleaning. Recently I had to take a sweater back because it was returned with a white circle. Instead of apologizing the woman behind the counter questioned me about the yellow tag and why the spot was wet. After I explained that I normally don’t check my dry cleaning before I wear it(presumably because it should be clean) and that I had worn it to work only to discover the white circle. At work, to avoid looking like a slob, I had tried rubbing it out with water. I guess she believed me because she reluctantly took it to redo it. No apology. And the prices they charge… overpriced!!! Beware! I just noticed one of my slacks has been returned with blotches of white. Horrible! Are there negative stars?

I agree with Beth G. The service here is terrible. I went there a few times hoping that the service would get better, but it got worse. They always try and find a way to overcharge you. When you first walk in, they barely let you get your clothes on the counter before they are rifling through it, almost like their searching your pockets trying to find loose change. Plus, somehow they think that dry cleaning a skirt suit should cost more than dry cleaning a pant suit. They charge your skirt suit as a dress. I don’t understand that logic. Also, I had a lot of dress shirts stretched to deformity and heavily starched when I specifically asked them not to do it. The people who work there are also rude and careless. When the owner is there, he tries to smile and you and is nice, but that means nothing when the actual service they provide is so crappy. It’s almost like he is apologizing in advance for the crappy job they will do for you.

If I could rate this joint as having 0 stars, I would. They were rude, mean, nasty, and uncompromising with what they thought should be done. Drycleaning: Wanted to have shirts laundered and they insisted upon dry cleaning them. Eventually relented but not after a good olé power struggle and insisting that there be «no guarantee!!!». Replacement lining of winter coat: the original liner was brown and they replaced it at a cost of $ 85.00 with a black patterned lining which ripped within a week. They resewed it but it ripped and tore in several subsequent places. HORRIBLESERVICE… reminded me of the soup nazi episode on Seinfeld. Buyer beware!!!
