Found this place on google. Booked with them after getting the cheapest price quote. Then I checked the Unilocal reviews. I got nervous. Angle called me 2 days before my event to confirm the pick up address and time. The trolley showed up on time and honestly it was the best TROLLY I have been on. Cushioned seats along the wall leaving room to walk around in the middle. Best experience I could’ve of asked for. The driver took us wherever we asked, he only asked me for the address and he got us there! I would definitely rent again. Thanks guys.

I rented a trolley for St. Patrick’s Day a year ago and it was a mess from the very beginning. First of all, the trolley arrived a few minutes late b/​c the trolley was experiencing «problems». When it arrived to pick us up, it LITERALLY BROKE DOWN in front of my apartment building! The driver said not to worry and worked on fixing it as we loaded up our things.
It did not break down after that however, there was no heat on a very cold day and the entire bus smelled of gasoline throughout the entire 4 hour ride.
The driver was great, that’s the only good thing about this company.

I see the negative reviews below but I had a different experience.
The owner/​booker was responsive in email and easy to work with. Most reasonable trolley I found to rent (and I shopped around). Our driver was very, very nice and accommodating. Perfect for what I had in mind for a bachelorette party.

This is a review I’ve been meaning to write for some time. I was married on 7÷6÷13 and we really wanted to transport all the guests that made it to the ceremony to the reception in trollies. That could get expensive really quick and most all companies wanted a 4 hour minimum and did not move much on price, since we only needed them for 1 hour. Robert and his company were the ONLY ones that worked with us. Robert, for all his strengths, may not be the best communicator. If you’re looking for someone to coddle you and reassure you every couple of weeks that everything will be smooth, you need another company. But his prices are very reasonable and, with us, he was always a man of his word.
I called Robert a year ahead of our wedding day, made the arrangements over the phone, payed online and received a crude receipt. I thought nothing of it until the day got closer and the worries of a 130 person wedding started creeping in. Robert wasn’t quick to return my calls (sometimes taking up to a week and a half) and that added to my fears. I was freaking out until I met him and saw the fleet of trollies.
Here’s the take away from the review, ROBERT NEVER WENT AGAINST ANYTHING HE PROMISED AND KEPT HIS WORD THE ENTIRE TIME. In regards to my experience, him and his employees are extremely trustworthy.
The trollies are older and not super polished, but that gave them much more character to us. They did not smell like puke and were clean enough. Again, if the price is more reasonable (or you’re using a Groupon) then you should be aware that the savings come from somewhere. My guests said the drivers were all awesome and our driver even made random stops so we could get pictures in the City. We even gave the drivers a special route through the City that passed locations that were important to us and all of them followed it with ease. The radio system worked great, everyone was on time, and the trolley part of the wedding went flawlessly.
Robert and this company have a bad rap, but they did an amazing job with us. This company is a no brainer for casual trolley trips in the City and a perfect fit for particular special events. I hope this review helps, since his negative reviews were a big cause of my anxiety leading up to the day.

I did see all theses bad Unsatisfied groupon reviews. But, a good friend referred them to me, and i like giving people a chance. Fortunately, i had an excellent experience. Wow! Thank you so much for your great service. Your driver accommodated our crew like royalty. You have won our friendship. Great prices, great service, and awesome trolley. If your looking for state of the art trolley rent a limo, if your just looking to get your family and friend together for a great ride rent from trolley rolls Royce rentals. Thank you once again.

Reserving the trolley for my event this weekend was the only «easy» part. Once reserved, it took 3 – 4 days for Robert to send me the receipt for my credit card billing.
The day of the event, I hadn’t heard from anyone to confirm, so I called Robert. He said «yeah, sometimes the drivers call before but sometimes they don’t if they’re too busy». I was annoyed and thought it was poor customer service, but moved on.
The trolley arrived on time, and although it was «clean» (ie no trash on the floor), the vehicle itself was a horrendous excuse for the types of trolleys I have been on in the past or seen around the city. There were faded, lightly padded, torn benches around the perimeter and stripper poles in several locations. The entire thing smelled like gasoline for the WHOLE night. Thought it would go away eventually, but it was so bad I could hardly have anything to drink for fear of it coming back up.
I specifically asked whether the trolley would have heat on it (December isn’t the warmest month), and although assured that it would, it didn’t appear to be working in the slightest. We all kept our coats on for the entire evening.
Lastly, the driver had NO idea where anything was located in the city. We went to places like the Lincoln Park Zoo, Daley Center, etc and he either had to call someone for directions, or after he drove past it we corrected him. We gave him the address for the first bar we went to 5 times. LITERALLY. Not to mention his English wasn’t great.
Finally, (and by finally I mean by the end of hour 2 out of 3) we had enough of the gasoline and the directionally-​challenged, so we attempted to head back to home base. We gave him the exact intersection (along with directions to get there), exact address, AND the name of the bar which has a giant lighted sign out front. We got there just fine, but instead of stopping he made a u-​turn and headed back down the street in the opposite direction! I cannot make this stuff up.
Serious mistake going with this company, and I hope anyone else reading these reviews takes them to heart!

this is MY FIRST 1 STAR REVIEW on Unilocal (and that’s only because I cannot give negative stars). My experience was strangely similar to that have Melissa G in that Robert is quite possibly the rudest, most unorganized and tactless business owner that I have ever dealt with.
I made the mistake of buying the Groupon deal as well and booked immediately for my bachelorette party 8 MONTHS AHEAD! I spoke to Robert initially who told me I needed to go online to fill out their bogus form which does not actually do anything but waste 10 minutes of your life. I received an automated email saying they received my request and that someone would get back to me. This never happened.
I called them to confirm a day before my scheduled party and Robert calls me back to look up my «reservation.» He says there is nothing in the calendar and they are all booked up. I asked him how that is possible considering I booked 8 months ago. He tells me the form is simply a request and that unless someone confirms the date with me, it means nothing. Great «so why didn’t someone get back to me as it stated on the form and on the email?» He turns the entire situation around on me and says «well why did YOU call us like a month or 2 ago?» EXCUSE ME?! Am I your mother? Why do your customers need to keep you accountable because you are not organized? His response «…well… there were a lot of Groupons.»
In turn, he told me the same thing he told Melissa – to go get a refund from Groupon. Great business model! Sell a bunch of worthless vouchers, make your customers fill out a fake reservation form to pretend you have a handle on the situation, never get back to these customers, have them call you in anger & blame them for everything. Going with Windy City Limos instead – they’re AWESOME!

By FAR the worst people I have ever dealt with. I purchased a GROUPON from them when it was advertised back in like January of this year, and I was so excited because the price just seemed so PERFECT. Today one week before my wedding, I was wondering why I have not gotten a call or email confirming the reservations that I had made 9 months back. So I decided to write and email to the one listed on the website. Well, all my vendors usually get back to me very quickly, and 6 hours later they have not. So I called the number on the website, Angel picked up and told me I had to call Robert because he deals with all the bookings. So I did, well here was my HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE:
First, Robert uses his cell phone for this business (that’s fine and dandy but you should be a little more professional when answering your phone). I told him my concern, right off the bat and his response to me was well what is the problem? EXCUSE me but what do you mean, we are one week away and no one had contacted me or anything!!! That’s a problem, your «company» does not have any information or idea about my final itinerary. Well he proceeded to check his computer, and while he did this I asked him where is his office was located at so I can just take care of this in person, well welcome to reality «they don’t have any office», they work off there cell phones only for a reason!!! Well he decided to check his computer to check my reservations and he was like yes we have you down for the 27^th! UMMM NEGATIVE, i booked for the 7^th and I have an email confirming that my date is saved. He was like ooo well we are overbooked that day and I need to see why, but worse case scenario is you could call GROUPON and get a refund! WTF I don’t want a refund at this point one week away I need transportation not a REFUND!!! During the conversation I was looking at there reviews and I seen the bad reviews, and I told him about it and he began yelling and saying that I am accusing them and it is false information! Well CLEARLY ROBERT, you just proved me right, he said call me back in a couple of hours and lets see what I can figure out. UMMM with all due respect I don’t have a couple of hours, and why should I be calling you back, this is your mistake you should be calling me back!!!24 hrs later I have not gotten a call. I asked who the owner was he said ANGEL, lies, because when I called Angel he to, was like I am not the owner, well I am but I’m not. WTF again, you either are or your not! He to told me he would call me back and has not!
Overall, they SUCK!!! They have horrible customer service, they do not care to please of help there clients even if it is there fault, and like another review stated they rush you off the phone. They do not want to deal with people! Well now, I was a bride to be with no trolley. I decided to look up other trolley company’s and I looked up business names to see who was the same company but just under an assumed name so I wouldn’t fall under the same trap. Within hours, I realized that ROBERT AND ANGEL are not a company, but that is not my story to tell. You don’t have a place of business for your customers, you have a website that only has WORDS, and you have bad business practice. Anyone can take a picture of a trolley and put it up online, that should have been my first hint!
Luckily, I have the best fiancé ever, and he saved the day, I would recommend anyone to steer away from anything that is «TROLLEY», «ROBERT» AND «ANGEL» all together in the same sentence of paragraph. they are not someone who will make your day fabulous, but stressful!!!

Do NOT rent a trolley from this company.
I bought a Groupon for a three hour trolley ride from this company. I immediately filled out the form to reserve my date. They never followed up with me. I called and when I finally reached them they told me they would call me several weeks before my reserved date to confirm. I ended up hearing from them less than a week before my event and they told me there would be a $ 45 surcharge — totally unacceptable! This contact came in the form of an e-​mail and they told me I needed to call them by Friday at noon to confirm. I called twice and emailed. I received an email Friday that said they’d call me on Saturday because they had a busy week. I was very nervous about not getting my trolley at all at this point but had no other choice but to wait for them because I had reserved the trolley for a friend’s bachelorette party. I called them on Saturday and they assured me I would have my trolley.
The worst part came on Saturday when the trolley arrived and smelled like vomit. It was absolutely disgusting!
Any way that’s my story. Our driver was perfectly nice but I would never ever use this company again and would advise you to refrain from using them.

Not very impressed. I bought a Groupon for this company and don’t think they were prepared for managing the number of people who made the same move as I did. I sent in my request for a trolley a month before the event. Over the course of the month I called the office about 4 times hoping to confirm that I had indeed reserved a trolley. When I spoke to the manager he said that the details of the event were not important and that he would get back to me by a certain date. Although details may not be important to him they were to me and I felt rushed off the phone and left to worry about buying a Groupon with this company. When he did not get back to me I called again and the same thing happened — 3 times! Finally, on the morning of the event I called again and he finally got the pickup time/​location down and again rushed me off the phone. This whole process of «I’ll call you back» made me nervous that things would be rushed or the trolley would be unprepared and left NO room for any questions one might have about the actual trolley. It was very poor customer service.
During my final conversation with the manager before the event he did say that for $ 60 extra I could reserve and extra hour on the trolley and told me I could do that on the trolley at the time of the party if I decided to do so.
When the trolley pulled up my thoughts were: clean but worn-​down and the coolers provided were not coolers but just big storage bins. The driver was fine, but again nothing amazing and he kept asking where to go when we had just asked for him to drive around the area for a while so we could see Chicago. After our 3 paid hours were were having a great time (due to the group and the drinks) and wanted to add an extra hour, like we were told we could do, only to find that this was not an option. This really confused me since I had just spoken to the manager on the phone that morning and he said nothing of the sort. The driver said he had another reservation to get to (it was already 11p) and then told us we had to get off the trolley immediately. We did, but this left no time for clean-​up. I had then gotten a call the day after the event saying that I would be charged for clean-​up, which was the icing on the cake for me with this company.
My recommendation: trolley parties are so much fun, but book with someone else. The ease of setting up the event, the communication of the staff, and the overall feel of good customer relations was lost with this company. They could do better.
