The aroma of Fresh Baked bread will fill the aisles as you walk through our store. At our service deli you will find many delicious meal options which will save you time cooking, and be sure to please your families’ taste buds. Tony’s service deli has hundreds of meats and cheeses fresh sliced to order. Experience Fresh Produce delivered to our stores seven days a week.

Whenever possible, we buy our fruits and vegetables directly from farm growers so we can guarantee the freshest products and the highest quality.

Quality is the backbone of our Meat Department. We carry U.S.D.A. Choice Beef, Certified Angus Beef, U.S. Gov’t Inspected Pork, U.S. Grade A Poultry, and Fish from all over the world.

Our dairy and frozen departments offer a large selection of yogurts, organic and cage-​free eggs, cheeses and more. Dairy free? Not a problem. We have a variety of non-​dairy milks to choose from

History

Established in 1979.

Tony’s Finer Foods was established in 1979, with its existing location on Fullerton Ave. Since then, Tony’s has expanded to twelve locations in the Chicago land area.

Tony’s gives back to the neighborhoods our stores are located in. Through sponsoring events and supporting local causes, we make an effort to become part of the communities we serve.

Lots of options. They have a pretty good selection of organic packaged foods. They can work on organic produce but I am unsure if that is even their market audience. Clean environment. Lots of helpful staff. I found this unsweetened almond milk that neither the dill pickle or a few other markets around logan square sell.

I HATE this grocery store. What a shame b/​c it’s the only one on my side of town. Entering & exiting this place is always a complete cluster f*%k. There’s 1 lane in & 1 lane out & someone is ALWAYS blocking the way. The carts charge a quarter, they’re always jammed up & filthy. The lines to Check out are OBSCENELY long & they only ever have 2 or 3 open. Deli sucks, there’s no good salads or anything offered. What they do have, looks disgusting. Forget the bakery (or lack there of), there’s no decent bread or sweets. They FINALLY have an extremely LIMITED organic selection. Bravo to that I guess.
I hate this place. I wish to GOD they’d re-​vamp it or we’d get a decent market on this side of town.

I gave this a four star before, but upgrading to five. This is my go to grocery store, mainly for convenience sake as I live a few blocks away. They have everything I need and their prices beat everywhere for sure (trust me, I keep Excel spreadsheets for grocery prices in the area!). Try to avoid the crowds as check out can take a while if it is busy. But yeah, this is the jam!

I just came home and opened the third rotten package of chicken in the last month (all opened on the day of purchase, no less). I also bought pork chops from them recently only to return home, open them, and discover that they were on the verge of being rotten. Every time this has happened, I’ve thought, «hey, this has gotta be an exception,» but this is now a pattern.
When I called them about the third chicken incident, I was put on hold for a manager, who never came. The woman on the phone told me to come in for a refund.
I haven’t listened to pop radio in a while, but the music they play there sounds like pop muzak. It’s so bad that no one could seriously record it and think, «Hey, people are going to like this.» Every time I’m in there I hear at least one of the same handful of horrible songs. I feel terrible for the employees. Maybe that’s what people listen to these days. Either way, it contributes to a vibe in Tony’s that is grating on the senses. Oh gawd, I’m getting one of the songs stuck in my head just thinking about it…
Tony’s has gotten better on a couple fronts over the years, and they’re definitely better than Strack. But I’m never going back, unless it’s an emergency (I live two blocks away).
I recently discovered Rico Fresh, which is a little farther away, but is cheaper, has better produce and meats, doesn’t play terrible music, has a better overall ambiance, and a great pastry section.
I’ve learned my lesson. Bye Tony’s!

I live about 25 miles from Tony’s Finer Foods but had the chance to go their with my son who just moved around the block from Tony’s. I found the store very well laid out with a terrific produce selection. Tony’s carries a lot of ethnic foods, primarily Latin but others as well. But, I have to say that some of the produce they had out I was not at all familiar with. It was very exciting.
If you are a regular at the larger Chicago grocers like Jewel, their deli is a little lacking. I needed to get some cole slaw and there was only one choice — it was prepackaged and not very good. But, I suppose that is not what you would go to Tony’s for anyway.
Overall, they do have great selections. Pricing is very good for inside the city limits. Too bad they don’t have one close to my house.

Tony’s has a huge selection. The aisles are packed with many different products. The meat section is really good.
But I won’t be back. Why not?
The produce section is awful. Jewel prices (high) but Stanley’s quality (low). The produce spoils just a couple days after you buy it.

When it comes to grocery shopping… Tony’s is the best place to find everything you are looking for and more! And at the best prices too!
One thing i truly appreciate from Tony’s, is their effort in fulfilling customers’ needs. If you are looking for a specific item you cannot find at other stores or have found at a different location than where you usually shop at… all you have to do is talk to a manager and they will gladly do their best at getting the items for you.
I’m so happy they’re finally bringing in a variety of healthy, organic and all natural items. once again, at affordable prices.

I live 2 blocks away so it’s super convenient for me since we first moved it to the neighborhood a few years ago, we’ve seen some definite positive changes — cleaner, more organic and diet options, and less expired food. I still cannot bring myself to buy their meat or premade items, but hope they continue to get better. And also decided to get rid of the put-​a-​quarter-​in-​for-​a-​cart system –ick.

I regularly shop at Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s, but was in a pinch to pick up some grocery items in my Logan Square neighborhood. I went to Tony’s with a little trepidation, but was pleasantly surprised. The produce section is pretty decent. Overall the store is teeming with customers, mostly Latino, so the produce and food selection caters to the majority; however, I found organic foods, yogurts, and all natural chicken in the poultry section. The prices are very affordable. I chuckled to myself when I asked a stock person where an item was because he voluntarily escorted me to the product just like they do at Whole Foods.

This is my store.
I like every department. Produce is great, bakery is great, meat is great. You get a lot of Mexican stuff, but there’s more than just that. This is EASILY the best grocery store in logan square. Maybe you can’t get everything they have at whole foods, but this place has everything you need minus the pretentious attitude.

Never again. This grocery store makes my head explode every time I come in here. The main reason is the chaotic, slow as molasses checkout system.
I am not a Whole Foods or Mariano’s shopper. I love independent grocery stores, but this just doesn’t f-​ing cut it.
Read some of the other reviews that mention bad meat, dirty bathrooms, etc and tell me this is acceptable.
Other things that suck about it are general cleanliness, the foul smell from time to time, the cramped aisles, the quarter rental for shopping carts, the lack of organic and non mainstream food options, the parking lot, the express aisle which is a joke.
They need to open some more registers. It is busy as hell no matter what time of day you go in. The last time I ran in just to grab a bag of charcoal thinking I would be in and out. Nope. That process still takes me 15 – 20 min in the express lane.
Luckily I have a car and can drive to Strack and Van Til’s or Trader Joes.

Local supermarket. Lacks the variety of national chains (jewel, etc), but you can’t beat the price point for fruits and veggies — especially central/​south american varieties.
Good specials on occasion, and they even have a passable liquor section (though generally expensive). I would generally stay away from the ice cream section (old and freezer burnt), but you can pretty much visually gauge the affected products…

I come here every single day. Gotta get stuff while its on sale, produce isn’t as fresh as it could be, and ice cream treats are always a gamble. We got some taco Chaco’s and they were disgusting. You could tell they melted and were re-​frozen after that, same with the banana babies :(

This place reminds me of Food-​4-​Less or Fairplay. The area around it is kind of sketchy and honestly, I’ve driven past it multiple times not knowing it was a grocery store.
It has a limited Asian aisle and the items aren’t what you typically find in a Dominick’s or a Jewel. If you’re in a bind, I guess you can come here. But I’d rather drive a bit more for some higher quality meat and produce.

I know I think a lot of parking lots are the «worst parking lot everrrrrrr», but this one just might possibly take the cake. Add in the fact that 75% of the vehicles here are vans or SUVs and you have people who can’t park to save their life. Coming here during the holidays is brutal, but I still do it because it’s much better than Armitage Produce and Jimenez (or whatever that one is on Central Park/​Armitage).
Look, I’ll be completely honest and say, I rarely buy meat from anywhere other than Whole Foods. I worked there and not only do I know the turnover rate, I also know it tastes better. However, sometimes I need (flank) steak and I’ll take Tony’s over any other grocery store. I just try not to think about it. They also need to wipe down the prepackaged meat case. I’m cool with blood, it happens, but grabbing something with blood all over it… not so cool. Or sanitary.
The real reason I like Tony’s is because when I decide to make my bootleg PR rice, I can come here and get what I need for less than $ 5. They also have tiny bottles of Cholula. I’m a Tapatio fan myself, but… TINY BOTTLES!
