Tip Nails

Horrible customer service. Went for a no chip in Monday and by Wednesday 3 nails were more then chip. Came to fix them and won’t fix my design since it was to much work. never coming here again never had this probably when I get them done at the salon I usually go too. And they took another customer before me that came after me. Been here for over an hour.

I went to get my nails done and I usually let Lisa do them, she does an alright job. This time I let the older gentlemen do it and he was extremely rough. When using the nail file, he would over do it and wouldn’t stop till my fingers turned a bright red. He then proceeded to clip them way too short when I told him I liked them long. After all this, I got my eyebrows done and he ended up messing those up too, now I have to grow them out. I will not be returning.

After reading all the reviews I decided to go and give it a try. My experience was awful! Customer service wise they are great as greeting you but the service is horrible my nails became on even and crucked also very thick. He was such in a hurry that no matter what I told him he will ignore my request I also did mood color which I guess there nail polish are to old that it doesn’t change color he aas also being really stingy with the nail polish and put it on like a 5 year old would all mess up and not covering the whole nail. Never again will I wasted my time and money in this place. He was still expecting a tip I’m like really!!!

I’m so glad this so is close to home. I am very pleased with the service. I was a walk in but I was taken care of right away. Very friendly staff. They greeted everyone just the same. I got to relax and enjoy all the little perks of my full set and pedi. The staff jumped in to help each other during a sudden afternoon wave of girls that came in. So excited to show off my new and cute nail art. Definitely will come back.

First patronage to this salon today for a (no-​chip) mani/​pedi. Very happy with the services rendered. No wait and attentive staff. Definitely coming back.

This place never disappoints… Always friendly and even when they are busy they take time to talk to you and help you. I’ve been going here for years and every time I slip and go somewhere else due to groupon or other specials I’m always let down.

I recently moved, so I’ve been trying out new nail salons. I’m very particular about salons because you can get serious infections if tools are not sterilized properly. My manicurist took a cuticle pusher and cutter out of a drawer, and I was concerned that they had been used on someone else without being sterilized. So, I said I wanted to see new tools being taken out of the sterilizing machines. She refused, and insisted they were fresh tools – that was strike one. Strike 2 occurred during the pedicure. I asked to soak for about 15 minutes and she said no, you can’t hold up a chair. Uh, it’s Tuesday morning, there are 5 or 6 pedicure chairs, and I’m the only person in here getting a pedicure – why are you rushing me? Strike 3 occurred later in the evening when I noticed that THREE NAILS WERE CHIPPED! I chose an OPI polish, but it was really liquidy and thin. I think they thinned it with acetone instead of an actual nail polish thinner. Anyway, I would not come back here. They rush the services even when the place is empty, they are rude, my nails chipped the same day, and I suspect this place is not clean. My search for a relaxing and clean nail salon continues…

Love their deal on Mani’s and Pedi’s (Mon and wed). Whenever your stressed, that’s the place to go and relax. nice and calming atmosphere !!! Best part there is never a wait when I go!

I am new to the area and i have already found a place to enjoy a mani and pedi. Place is a little outdated but nice ppl and establishment. They have been in the area since 95! Strongly recommend!

Came in for a simple pedicure and they did a good job. The place is a little messy and the color selection is lacking. However, Min did a great job with my pedicure. He took his time; did not feel rushed at all like at other places. He spoke English very well and they had the Travel channel on. I rarely ever go to a nail salon with anything enjoyable on the tv. There wasn’t excessive talking among the workers either. By the way, the massage chair was very nice.

I found this place to be a standard cheap nail shop. The place looked pretty clean and had nice pedicure soak tubs. I had my eyebrows done when I was there. They complete that service in the main area while I was sitting in a chair. I noticed they put the wax on the strips and then put the strips on me. It still got the job done and I will definitely go back since it is the closest place near my house.

Ok, I know this is NoT an expensive salon, so I am not comparing this to a place with high end service, nor was I expecting it.
1. Horribly strong smell of acetone. Poor ventilation.
2. Lady who did my nails seemed to not want to be there; she wasn’t out rightly rude, but definitely unwelcoming. In fact, right after telling me where to put my hands to dry, she went off to the back corner and watched tv.
3. The worst part, she was rough on my fingers, filed them unevenly, and trimmed too much so that I ended up with hangnails later. She even nicked my left ring finger so that it bled and she didn’t apologise!
The other staff around the room seemed to be younger and more professional, so I don’t want to judge the whole place by the one employee. But I AM judging this review on my experience there so that is why they are getting the first single-​star review I have ever written.

I went here for the first time last week, in search of a mani-​pedi and not wanting to go far from home. I was the first person there, shortly after opening. The salon itself is a little outdated, but it seemed pretty clean. They do have some O.P.I. colors, but also have tons of off-​brand polishes, which made me a little worried. After picking my colors, my nail technician Minh gave me the best mani-​pedi I have ever had. He took his time, was very thorough, gave a great foot and leg massage, and painted flawlessly. He also had a great balance of chatting with me and then letting me relax in silence. I will definitely be back and will request Minh every time. The price was great, too! It was only $ 30!

I was so shocked at the service I received at this nail salon. I had been wanting to get a no chip pedicure for a while and I randomly pulled over to this place, not wanting to drive to the northside or downtown, and I have never experienced such perfection from a nail tech. Obviously, the place is a little out of date and the chemical smell is a little stronger than other nail salons but the work was worth it! Also, this place is so inexpensive that I was really not expecting too much but the tech that did my toes was so careful with detail and professional it was a job well done and worth the money… worth even more money!

I went in this nail salon on Friday, 12÷21÷12. i was leaving on vacation to Texas the following morning so i needed a manicure, pedicure and facial wax. The older Vietnamese lady who did my wax was being very rough and I told her but she kept on. She burned my upper lip and my chin really bad. i am not sure if the wax was too hot, or that she kept pressing really hard on my face even after i told her. Or that she went over the same areas more than once. i was on vacation looking like Scarface, literally. As soon as I got back I went to see them, I was not rude in any way, I simply explained what happened and showed them pictures of my face while I was in Texas. They immediately started acting very rude towards me and they all started speaking Vietnamese to each other so I could not understand what they were saying. They admitted remembering me because I was the last customer there on 12÷21÷12. When I asked them to issue me a receipt THEY FLAT OUT REFUSED, they gave me my $ 20 back but my face is all scarred up. I mean seriously, this is my face we are talking about, my makeup wont even cover it. **PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL PEOPLE, I WOULD HATE FOR THIS TO HAPPEN TO SOMEONE ELSE. I have filed a complaint with the BBB but I don’t know what I can do without a receipt. i am devastated and i am already feeling really self conscious about my face. Please go to a reputable place, even if it costs you a couple extra bucks. **I REALLY WISH I CAN ATTACH MY PICTURES SO YOU CAN SEE WHAT THEY DID TO MY FACE!

My friend comes here a lot to get her nails done, but the last time she went, Lisa’s husband was doing her nails and he was very very rude. He asked how she liked her nails when he was doing it, and she said everything looked okay (just to be nice), except for one nail (that was really bugging me) and asked if he can redo it. Then he starts throwing a fit and telling her that he is very good at what he does and called her a difficult customer. Then he started talking shit in Vietnamese, thinking she doesn’t understand. Very unprofessional and she will never go back again. On top of that, he did a HORRIBLE job. I hope he knows, this place is local and we do network nowadays and words do spread fast. Way to ruin your own business…

This is a good option if you are looking for a quick nail job and you don’t feel like spending a ton of money.
I called ahead of time, but they said I didn’t need an appointment. When I arrived on a Friday afternoon, I was seated immediately for my pedicure. The place is clean, but it needs better circulation as it did have a pretty strong chemical smell.
The woman that took care of me was very nice but a tad rough on my toes. And I wish she did a more thorough foot and leg massage. One important thing to note is that they skip the scrub and go directly for the lotion, so I felt like I was missing out on the «spa» part of the pedicure.
The paint job itself was ok, and it was done quickly, but I waited forever for the paint to dry. My pedicurist was more worried about the Asian soap opera on TV than to check up on my progress.

Ladies, you know that scruffy couch surfer that you call every so often around 2am? You meet him at the 4am bar around the corner, buy him a couple of cheep beers, then take him home. The next morning you wake up unimpressed and full of shame. That’s what Tip Nails is. A cheap, convenient option that’s only good for the moment, but you’ll regret the decision tomorrow.

I couldn’t be luckier to have a place like this right around the corner from me. They do a nice job for the prices they charge ($ 32 for a mani/​pedi). They’re really nice, and the wait is never long at all.
The best thing about the pedicures is their delux massage chairs. You sit in this throne-​like lounger that has rollers going up and down the length of your spine, kneading, pounding, and rubbing as softly or vigorously as you like (you get the remote control).
I also like the diverse clientele. I’ve seen Asian, Latina, African American and white women there, often all at once. Clearly the search for inexpensive but good quality beauty services is something we all share.
