Very poor experience. Cut my skin several times and the eyebrow hair grew back within 2 weeks unlike the other places I go to

I told the lady to keep my brows thick, and just to clean up the edges. She made them incredibly thin and I hate how they look. I told her after that they were too thin and all she did was try to justify it and argue me. This is NOT what I asked for. I used to go there regularly and now I will be finding a new eyebrow place. Don’t go there.

I was taken in right away on a Friday early afternoon. The lady that did my eyebrows was very rude. She hurt so badly that I had tears coming down my face. I have been getting my eyebrows done for many many years now. She was rude and told me not to move my face… then quit being so painful! And then she has the nerve to tell me to not tweeze my eyebrows. I will do whatever I want, and you’re only telling me not to to tweeze so I will come back and give you business again, nope! She also tapped my forehead where she wanted me to put my hand, and so i did. I cannot see what part she is threading, and she then replies by saying «I am doing your arch. It is over here. Put your hand here». Very rude. I will not return and will go to my usual place even if it is a little out of the way. Absolutely rude!

I have tried both the threading and waxing services and have been satisfied by the quality and speed of the procedures. I usually see Roma and she is friendly, quick and does a great job. This is a no frills place, but I like it because it’s so efficient!

Walked in and got an appointment right away. The woman was friendly and did a great job recommending a way for me to get my eyebrows done. My eyebrows looked great and I didn’t have to spend a lot. They also have a great rewards program if you go there frequently.

Threading Concepts is awesome! Not only do they have awesome specials on week days and a discount for students, they do a really great job. I went in for an eyebrow and lip wax, and the specialist convinced me to give eyebrow threading a try– I took her word and she was SO patient (allowing me breaks when needed), gentle, & quick! A totally different experience from when I got them threaded at a different salon previously. I have never had to wait in line at Threading Concepts and you can just walk in for a quick service. It also is very clean and smells soothing. Would definitely recommend!
PS. I read a review below mine about skinny eyebrows and mine were NOT left skinny– they’re perfect :-)

If you want really skinny eyebrows, come here. I remember I specifically said, «do not make them thin, leave them as thick as possible, just clean them up». Well, WTF. Not one word was heard and ZERO f’s were given when she got started.
They didn’t look horrible but they could have been better. $ 8 on Mondays though, not bad, if you get someone who listens.

Note to self: Stop cheating on your favorite threading places.
I was out and about in the area and when we spotted TC, we thought why not. I was in need of an eyebrow clean up and the place looked clean and they were able to take us right away.
The technique she used was much slower than what i am accustomed to so it was a lot more painful than it had to be. I also told her to just clean up the brows and not the make them any thinner. She either didn’t listen or could not keep the contour that I wanted because they are little thinner than I wanted and threaded a bit too much from the near the center. At least they are even.
I also got my upper lip threaded and she insisted that we wax. I told her no thank you, but for her to insist just makes me think that she is lazy because waxing is faster, but when the customer already says No thank you, that should be the end of it.
I also didn’t like that she kept adjusting the chair without warning me she was going to do it. Who likes getting the back of chair dropped without warning so that you fall clumsily backward. I sure don’t.
Sure Monday has a great deal $ 8 instead of $ 10, but I’ll gladly pay full price at my favorite places any day over this place.

I’ve only ever gotten my eyebrows threaded here, and it’s been a great experience. I moved to Chicago from Indiana and the $ 10 cost is the same that I paid there. I was very surprised considering the location that it’s not a lot more.

for threading, this place is great! the woman who does my eyebrows actually remembers who i am and what I like. so that helps. cheap and quick. they always do good work, and i continue to keep going back and referring people to them

I’m here every two weeks for either my eyebrows, underarms, or Brazilian. My lady is awesome, once I had all three of the above services done in about 15 minutes. She’s fast and not so painful.

I haven’t been here in a while & now I remember why. The woman who threaded my eyebrows was very rushed & I could tell she could care less. I will continue to drive an extra 45 minutes to Dorothy’s Eyebrows in the southisde.

I would not recommend going to Threading Concepts. Had my eyebrows threaded as well as more personal areas waxed. The waxing/​threading stations are set up right in front of these huge windows alongside a busy street. Very public. She ended up waxing my neck (!!! not at all what I asked) and then shouting what services I received to the cashier across the busy room… I didn’t like that. Waxing services are terrible. They are very unprofessional but it is called Threading Concepts… so maybe just do that. 2 stars because my eyebrows did look pretty good, however will not be going back.

Great customer service and love the threading! $ 8 Mondays and always $ 8 with student ID. Hidden little gem!

Threading concepts is okay for threading, but there are way better places in the suburbs such as Beauty Concepts in Westmont, IL and Rivaz Salon in Westmont. Do not get waxed here. It is extremely unclean and there is a lot of cross contamination. The lady was very rushed and unprofessional. She left chunks of wax on my arms and legs and was leaving large parts of my arms and legs unwaxed. She kept dropping wax all over me when reaching from one area to another and the she kept opening the wax room door so all the customers and other employees could see me in the room. The worst part about it, is that I got a rash over my whole body after going there. The prices there are better than other places, but the extra cost is worth avoiding skin rashes and chunks of hardened wax all over your skin. I will not be visiting this place again.

Came here on a whim because I was in need of some serious waxing. Glad I did because they did a great job. The women at the desk was very helpful and answered all my questions since it was my first time. I was in a room within minutes, granted I went on a Friday afternoon. The women who worked on me was nice, talkative and quick.
Parking was easy, but it is meter. Prices are very reasonable.
I will be back to check out some of their other service

Meh… probably the most accurate description of this place.
I live pretty close to the location, but I really only come in if my usual place is booked and I’m in a jam. I’ve only had my eyebrows done, and they do a pretty decent job. There have been a some instances where they don’t listen to the shape I asked for and they remove a decent chunk of eyebrow. You have to be really specific about what you tell them, otherwise you may not like how you look.
Also the previous reviews are absolutely correct, the attitude and customer service is atrocious. They all seem to act as though you are inconveniencing them in some way– and I’m pretty sure this has happened to me with almost every person I’ve seen.
Check the website, they have daily specials.

Please do not come here. Chunks taken out of my eyebrows. Two different shapes and she took way too much off for me to fix with more tweezing. Worst threading I’ve ever had.

I have been a loyal customer for over 2 years now. They usually do a god job, except a couple of times when she over threaded my eyebrows. But when i got my eyebrows done this week she completely ruined them. I had patiently grown my eyebrows back for a thicker brow but she AGAIN over threaded my eyebrows and now both of them are not only thin but different. Now I will have to grow my eyebrows out again!
I am so mad right now but I can’t do anything about it. I don’t know what the issue was when I specifically told her to just thread the extras out and not change the shape of my eyebrows. I am so mad and angry that I can’t stand to look at my eyebrows in the mirror!

I just got home nod have pencil eyebrows. Ou know what I mean-​eyebrows that look like you drew them on. I am not going to lie, I may have cried a bit.
I asked for her to clean it up not get rid of them. I am so upset because it is my face, this is what others see and I look ridiculous.
