Theater Wit produces plays that are funny and smart. Its hip three-theater space is also home to some of the best Chicago theatre audiences can experience year-round. You’ll find a full bar, artisan chocolates, great theatre, and only good, comfortable seats.
History
Established in 2003.
Theater Wit produced primarily in the Theatre Building space on Belmont before it took over the abandoned warehouse next door. In 2010, it opened its remodeled theater. The company is best known for its hilarious annual holiday must-see production, «The Santaland Diaries,» written by David Sedaris, adapted for the stage by Joe Mantello.
