I noticed The North Side while having a cup of coffee in the next door Starbucks. Needing to replace a lost key for my Mustang, I took a chance and went in. The new key couldn’t be programmed immediately, but Juan(the owner) volunteered to make and program the key at my house in the northern suburbs. I called two days later and Gabriel came up, completed the job in about 15 minutes, and didn’t charge for the service call. Both Juan and Gabriel were courteous, friendly, and highly competent. It was also nice that the job cost less than half what my Ford dealer wanted to charge.

I brought in two keys to get cut and programmed for a 2013 Chevrolet, they did an awesome job and I was out in less than 20 minutes. I called several places and they all told me they couldn’t program my key FOB but they did it without a problem, made sure everything worked and synced up. Thanks!

Juan and his staff are fast, expert, courteous and offer a great service at reasonable prices. Rather than sell me a new key fob, he diagnosed and fixed the problem, charging me only $ 4 instead — though I did buy an extra valet key for my 8-year-old Ford. The shop is very comfortable while you wait and(this was such a random fun surprise on a Saturday afternoon), while they programmed my valet key, he set his old school Nintendo for me to play Super Mario Bros. Run, don’t walk. Great guy, great business — wish him all the best.

My Savior I broke the plastic case on my car remote. No problem, just buy a new case, remove the chip from the old one and place it into the new case. I order the new case, popped the chip from the broken case and attempted to insert it into the new case. Wrong. The remote will not work. I need that remote. The extra key only opens the door. So, open the door with one key and switch to the ignition key. Juggling two keys is not the answer. The answer was to have a new chip programmed. Oh no. This could easily cost $ 100.00. I go to The North Side with dread. I was so surprised. Juan takes one look at the chip, uses his magic touch and boom! Chip works. My life is saved. He could have easily said the chip was dead and I needed to replace it. I would not have known the difference and be out of pocket $ 100. What do you know? An honest businessman. There was NO charge. Just a smile. Made my day. Thanks again Juan.
