Sign says they are open 9:30−6 on Wednesdays through Fridays. I went there Wednesday at 5:30. Closed. I went there Thursday morning at 9:45. Closed. The sign even says«we are open.» Went and grabbed some food and came back about 20 minutes later. Closed. Ridiculous, pathetic, enraging, and laughable are the words that come to mind. Thanks for wasting my time. Please go out of business and make room for someone who sucks less. It’s called progress.

i didn’t get my hair cut. the sign on the door says open Wednesdays 9 – 6 but no one was there and a neighbor of the shop told me they’d be back tomorrow. i think the hours posted on their sign are wrong. they’re open Thur-Sat, no Wednesdays.

This guy ruined my hair. He didn’t cut it like I asked for and insisted that he was right after he ruined it. He also took a long time(more than 30 minutes). His shop smelled grungey and had a bad/dirty vibe with nude pinups everywhere. Even if it were an ok haircut, $ 18 is still pretty steep. I will never come here again. Gabby’s barber shop up north on Clark street was way better. They were quick, friendly, clean, professional, and cheap($ 14): everything that The Hair’s End was not.

Best value in all of Chicago for a hair cut, an update on the latest worldly events(of course from the center of the universe, aka, Bari, Italy). It is also a great place to get up to speed on what is going on in next center of the world, Little Italy Chicago. Great neighborhood, good cuts, straight razor shaves and old school charm, familiarity and atmosphere. A

I used to get my hair cut at The Hair’s End. The barber, Bart, was pretty good when I was younger. But as I got older, the quality of his haircuts slowly began to decline. I stopped going there about three years ago and I’ve been going to Family Barber Shop on Madison Street ever since. Family Barber Shop is a much better place to get a haircut. The prices are nearly the same as The Hair’s End and the haircuts they’ve given me are much better than Bart’s.

Ok, dis is Lil’ Italy. You welcome. You need ta’ know a few dings… Bart(and his son) is a fixture here in Little Italy. Bart’s been cutting hair for, well, long ‘nough to know how ta’ cut yours just fine. Plus Bart’s got a spot or two out back for parking so you don’t pay $ 60 to good ol’ Rahmmiee for a stupid parking ticket. Great atmosphere across from the Italian American Hall of Fame(don’t be a wise guy and ask why it is only 3 stories…), with a lobby fully of barbershop appropriate reading material. You will learn more about Little Italy during one shave and haircut than anywhere else. Plus you’ll look(and smell) a lot better than you do now. Seriously, respect yourself a bit more and get a haircut. $ 18 for a haircut is tough to beat. Traditional shave with a straight razor is something everyone should try. Even if you only do it to brag to your friends that you had someone put a razor to your neck while you were hanging out in Little Italy(and you, tough guy, survived)… Oh, call ahead if you want both a shave and haircut… and remember if you bring the little guys along for a hair cut, too, that some of the, ah, reading material focuses on the beauty of the feminine form.

Went to the Hair’s End today for the first time, and I had a great haircut! I’ve been looking for a good barber shop in the city — cheap, no frills, and a quality haircut. This place is it! Bart’s son cut my hair, and it looks great! For $ 18, I’ll be back soon!

Great place for a men’s haircut. I dropped in here after reading the few reviews here on Unilocal.I was very happy with the cut and the experience. I’ll be back here! Barber took his time and really gave me a quality cut. It’s only 18 bucks! Go here!!!

This is the best barber in Chicago, possibly Chicago land. I am surprised that there aren’t other reviews on this place. Bart, the owner and the only barber in the place is great. You get a great quality cut the old fashioned way, scissors first, limited buzzer after. The only reason that there aren’t other reviews is probably the majority of the customers are a bit too old for Unilocal,Some have been going to Bart for 45+ years. He is always busy, so make an appointment a few days ahead of time. Cuts are $ 17 and they are always top notch.
