Description

Specialties

The Growling Rabbit brings Rogers Park a casual café experience serving healthy comfort food and offering fresh baked goods daily from our sister company, Sweet Attila’s — a bake shop, right next door.

History

Established in 2011.

Starting out at the Glenwood Sunday Market as Sweet Attila’s — a bake shop, the Growling Rabbit builds upon its success and the support of Rogers Park. Opening in 2011, the Growling Rabbit occupies the corner of Sheridan and Lunt and brings a new vibrant café to the area. All of our baked goods are created on-site in the ovens of our sister company, Sweet Attila’s — a bake shop.

We continually strive to bring you new and exciting options from our menu, utilizing fresh ingredients from the Glenwood Sunday Market and other local farmers markets. Along with our regular menu items, the Growling Rabbit also offers vegan and vegetarian options regularly. Have a food sensitivity? Talk with a team member to discuss how we can assist you.

Meet the Business Owner

Laura S.

Business Owner

After being diagnosed with a number of food allergies in 2006, Laura learned to bake with alternate ingredients out of necessity and has spent the last four years re-perfecting all of her favorite cookie recipes. Founded by Laura Soncrant on the principle that everyone should be able to enjoy amazing cookies, Sweet Attila’s evolved to offer a variety of cookies made with a variety of ingredients Laura is now proud to bring you the Growling Rabbit — a café, with these same principles.
