The cleanest laundromat in Chicago. We now offer home pickup and dropoff of your laundry for $ 1.29 per pound! Card operated, free Wi-​Fi, flat screen TVs, vending, free coffee, and always a friendly attendant on duty. Parking in the front and back. We have over 100 washers and dryers, including 80lb, 50lb, 30lb, and 25lb energy efficient machines. «Wash and Fold» service for only $ 0.90 per pound (we use Tide and Downy!). We also give discount bonuses when you add at $ 20 or more to your card, and by keeping your card you are automatically part of our «Wash to Win» customer loyalty program. Located at the corner of Milwaukee and Leland (next to the Chase Bank), one block south of Lawrence, in the Jefferson Park neighborhood of Chicago. Come see us!

History

Established in 2006.

The Friendly Wash has opened its doors in 2006 and has built a business one customer at a time ever since. We set out to create a store where people could do their laundry in a clean and friendly environment. We thought it was important to keep the store temperature cool in summer and heated in the winter and make sure that our laundry machines worked. We wanted to give our customers ample folding tables, free coffee and big screen TVs. But most of all we wanted to open a store where our customers knew that they would be treated with respect and their business is appreciated. We think that we did what we set out to do and hope you come to try us. The Friendly Wash, there is a difference!

Business Owner

Tony is a businessman, a husband, and a father who cares about his customers and employees. He set out to try something different in the laundry business after spending years in real estate business locating laundromats in communities around Chicago. In his work he noticed that time after time, he would go into the facilities they were drab, not very clean and there was no connection to the facilities and the community they served. Tony set out to change that with his concept, The Friendly Wash. At the Friendly Wash, you will be greeted by an attendant who cares, says hello, helps you when needed and keeps the facility clean. We have brand new washers and driers, big screen TVs and plenty of folding tables and carts. Come see us and share in the difference!
