If you are looking for a fitness program that is fun, effective, and can provide you with a lifetime of results, you should give us a call.
The Foundry offers comprehensive health and fitness for busy professionals. One hour intense workouts are guided by a team of expert coaches and performed in small groups. A scientifically designed program blends strength training, endurance conditioning, and skill development to produce incredible results.
The Foundry is the premier gym for CrossFit in Chicago with two convenient downtown locations in the South Loop and West Loop.
CrossFit is a training methodology designed around the things you do in the real world. Every day, we ask our bodies to move in countless different ways. We bend down and pick things up, we put things over our heads, squat down, stand up, run after our kids or chase down a cab. CrossFit utilizes movements from weightlifting, gymnastics, and sports conditioning that improve these real-life activities and create high levels of fitness. In turn you accomplish goals you never thought were possible while having a great time.
History
Established in 2012.
The concept for The Foundry was originally developed by Founder Justin Quandt and Performance Training Director Brad Raysby. The two met in 2010 while working as CrossFit coaches. Together, they envisioned creating a fitness program that was challenging, rewarding, and got results.
Our mission: To forge health, empower people to achieve sustainable well-being, and promote maximum enjoyment of life.
Other goals included a superior member experience, a state-of-the-art facility, and the best coaching talent in the industry.
The vision was originally implemented in a 200sqf training space with two clients. As the following grew, what would become the Foundry expanded to larger facilities and took in more athletes.
Today, The Foundry has two locations downtown, 13,000 sqf, and is home to hundreds of CrossFit athletes.
Meet the Business Owner
Justin Q.
Business Owner
I grew up playing competitive tennis, and had always equated working out with sports. As an adult, I started hitting the gym like everyone else — but I wasn’t having any fun anymore. After years spent working as a consultant, I realized the corporate world wasn’t right for me and started researching fitness & nutrition, learning from experts in a wide variety of fields & experimenting on myself and friends. I spent years training at a variety of facilities, coaching clients at other gyms, and formulating my philosophy. Together with Brady Raysby, we crafted the concept for The Foundry, a place where people can learn to express the best, fittest versions of themselves while having fun and living an inspired life.
Friends and clients have described me as an expert in nutrition and fitness, and excellent coach, a natural leader, and «The reason they chose to train.» I am driven to achieve my highest potential, accountable to myself and my clients, & committed to getting better each day
