The Doggy Dojo

If I ask my dog Scout if he wants to go to the vet he looks at me with dead eyes. If I ask Scout to go to the park he runs to the door. If I ask Scout if he wants to go to Doggy Dojo he jumps around and does wild excited doughnuts all the way to the door. That’s how I know Scout loves the Doggy Dojo as much as I do.
Scout has been going to Doggy Dojo for several years now and every experience I have ever had with their team has been positive.
Some of the little interactions that make Doggy Dojo great: When I drop Scout off every member of the team knows Scout by name. They always return him with all of the items I left him with (harness /​leash /​etc.)… I have a difficult time keeping track of that stuff, I don’t know how they do it for all their dogs. They are flexible on scheduling. Boarding is cage free. Invoices are emailed and payments can be done online (yeahhh! totes convenient). The cost is reasonable. And Scout looooooves them.
The team at Doggy Dojo is friendly, attentive, caring, patient, professional, flexible, easy going, and just down right wonderful.

The Doggy Dojo does a phenomenal job of taking care of our family dog. I have used overnight boarding and the day care services and will continue to use them. The owners Oscar and Carlos go out of their way to make sure your pups have a home away from home.

My dog and I both just love this place! Oscar has always been very flexible on how often I bring my dog Charlie. Charlie comes home nice and tired, which is perfect after working all day. I recommend you bring your dog here, you will just love it!

The Doj is like Cheers for your dog. At least that’s how I like to imagine it. Drop dog off (or get pickup service) and let them canoodle with everybody who knows their name. Oscar and Carlos (+the whole staff really) are top of the heap in this business. Their care and attention is second to none. We have been sending our dog here since he was 6 months and 2.5 years later we would never bring him anywhere else!
Curious what your pup is up to? Duh. We all are. And the Dojo doesn’t make you feel bad for admitting it. So what do you do? Follow them on Ig or facebook. They post pics and throw contests all the time. Santa will even pay your fur baby a visit around the holidays!

I love the Dojo! All of the staff is super friendly, knowledgeable and great with pups. My lab mix Bevy loves playing with other dogs and I always come home to a wiped out pup on Dojo days.
The Dojo offers pickup and drop off for a minimal fee, which allows me to make it in to work early and stress-​free. Transportation always follows any instructions for crating/​collaring after day care to the letter. I also have a double lock and both are always locked when I come home on Dojo days making me feel safe.
I can’t recommend the Doggy Dojo highly enough! They are attentive and responsible while providing a fun and stimulating environment for your dog while you are away. And, they post cute pictures on Instagram and Facebook!

Great people and very nice facility. They have an array of different dogs, sizes and shapes and they keep them with the same size dogs.

Doggy Dojo is pretty much the only day care we would trust in completely. They love dogs… that much is so evident. Our dog Gibraltar’s ear perk up at the mention of the name ‘Doggy Dojo’. He has been going to Doggy Dojo for the past year and has not got tired of the place. He’s such a happy puppy there and we know he has played to his heart’s content when he can barely wake up to greet us when we come back from work…
Their facility is big and clean, and they know how to deal with dogs. They are also the only people who will tell us, very honestly, if Gibraltar was a little bored on a given day (which has happened only once in the past year, during a holiday week). Most other places maintain a standard «He was fine! He had fun!». This honesty helps us know how Gibraltar’s day was, and any person who is as crazy about their dog are as we are of our’s will understand the importance of this.
I cannot say a single bad thing about Doggy Dojo. They are the absolute best at what they do. If I were religious, I would say «God bless them all!». I’m not, so all I will say is a big thank you for all that you guys do, and for being so kind and wonderful to Gibraltar as you are every single day that he is there.

I love everything about the Dojo. They are accommodating and affordable. Bandit always comes home exhausted and that’s a great thing for a puppy.

Everyone on staff is wonderful and super friendly, especially Oscar and Carlos. They always take great care of Sara and she loves going for daycare and overnights.

I could not be happier with this daycare. It really impressed me way more than all the other daycares I toured during my search for a good place for my Lakota to play. It is clean and adequately staffed with the friendliest and most knowledgeable people. I can be a little annoying when it comes to my baby Lakota but they did not ever show a hint of being impatient or annoyed with me and that is golden. This business is doing so well and I hope that it continues to do well for many many years. There has to be some sort of award for being so awesome.
My baby is always happy and tired and never looks like she’s been run ragged. I can tell that she has had a great time every time I pick her up.

The Doggy Dojo is a second home to our dog, Avett. We’ve been with them since he was a puppy (he’s now 3) and we are not going anywhere! The owners, Oscar and Carlos, treat our dog (and us!) like family and have proven themselves over and over again as trustworthy business owners.
Before we found the Doggy Dojo, we tried out a few other daycare facilities. Nothing comes close to the level of service, affordability and reliability that Oscar and Carlos offer. Further, their facility is very clean, not overcrowded (as many doggy daycares are), and has an outdoor area. Additionally, their boarding is crate-​free.
Their offerings and level of service outshine their competitors. Chicago is full of daycares and for anyone searching, the Dojo should be at the very top of your list to check out.
What’s more — Oscar and Carlos really enjoy what they do and LOVE dogs. In an over-​saturated market of daycares and boarding facilities, this is something that you shouldn’t have to worry is missing in the care of your dog. Rest assured your pup will be taken care of with love and attention (and many belly rubs!) each day.

I love the Dojo and so does my Boston Terrier Rex. He is always happy to go and when he comes home he is exhausted from playing all day.
Dojo is affordable and reliable. They are also super flexible and are always willing to work with our schedules.

Doggy Dojo and the entire staff is absolutely spectacular. They take cute pics of my dog and post on facebook and instagram, the guy that picks up Yoshimi seems quite nice and Oscar is super pleasant to deal with. The payment process is nice and efficient and most of all Yoshimi is happy and tired when she comes home with her tail waggin’. I love this place and highly recommend this business to anyone who wants to trust their pooch with a daycare.

The peeps at the doggy dojo are the jam. Oscar and Carlos have taken the best care of our bulldog Betty Lou for years. Cannot say enough about these guys. Betty gets fired up when she hears the van pull up, and comes home spent. They’ve bailed us out and picked up Betty on short notice. Thanks guys!!!

I mean where do I start with this one? The Doggy Dojo has been an absolute God send for me and my dog Jeter. Carlos and Oscar as well as their staff are very attentive and caring for my dog when he is there. I recently had Jeter boarded and it was truly a great experience, I had the piece of mind that he was being taken care of by people that I trust, it was a very simple process and I have to say worth every single penny. This place is a must if you have a pooch, thanks for everything guys!

I have been using The Doggy Dojo now for almost two years and it is worth every penny. They provide a super convenient service that is as much as some walking services, and they pick up and drop off your pup at your home. Oscar, Carlos and staff deserve tremendous accolades for their service as it is way above the rest. In fact, I don’t know how the competition stays in business. I recommend them to everyone I can and love seeing them grow.

We’ve been taking our dog to the Dojo for almost a year. We moved into the area and searched around for a dog play group. We have a 3 yr. old beagle/​rotweiler mix and she loves to play, at times she acts like she is still a puppy. Due to her size (37lbs.), she was originally placed with the smaller pups. I remember telling Carlos and Oscar that she likes to play with the bigger dogs which they soon realized.
I highly recommend the Doggie Dojo. The staff are very attentive, friendly and on time for pickups. My husband and I are extremely pleased because our furry friend is taken care during the day, tired when she comes home and excited to go to the Dojo.
We used to use Tucker Pups for overnight stays but now that we know the Dojo offers overnight we would prefer the Dojo. They offer a better price for the play groups, overnight stays and the play area is larger.

I still love the Dojo. Riley looks so excited whenever I say Carlos is coming. I could not be happier with Dojo.

Can’t say enough good things about Oscar and the Doggy Dojo. They came highly recommended from a friend who sends her lab to the daycare.
We’ve now sent our lab mix both to the daycare and had him boarded (cage-​free) with the Doggy Dojo for nearly two weeks! Our dog is 6 years old and we’d never boarded him before, but once we met Oscar we had no qualms about it and knew he’d be well taken care of. Our dog came back happy and handsome, fully brushed with a cute bandanna.
Once you meet Oscar and crew, you can see that these are truly people who understand your relationship with your pet and care about your pet’s well-​being.
They take the time to get your dog comfortable with them and the daycare and give updates on how your dog is doing (like a teacher would to a parent :)).
Plus, the drop off and pick up service and all the play time beats a dog walker any day.
