Tempus Auto Spa

All I can say is WOW. We picked up our Dodge Caliber today from a detailing from Tempus. It’s sparkling– and cleaner than it’s ever been, including when we bought it. When we dropped it off, it needed some help. We’re somewhat high-​octane, always kayaking, hiks
The staff was also incredibly friendly, competent and expeditious. We will definitely be back! Thanks, Tempus!

HORRIBLE! Have been a long time customer. Will never go again.
Outside was was fine. Inside, they just vacuumed and dos the floors? Didn’t wash seats, consoles, inside doors etc.

This place used to be a great deal with their «early morning special». They always did an okay job — good enough for the price.
Now they are under new management, which is completely unclear since there are no new signs or anything to delineate a change in management, other than the surprise you see on your receipt.
I felt that I was taken advantage of — they should have indicated new ownership/​management.
There are plenty of car washes in the area. Next time I won’t go here.

Called to make a detailing appt. Were able to get me in on my preferred day and time– less than a week out. I appreciated the helpfulness of the woman who answered the phone.
Unfortunately I asked to use the Groupon. She noted that they were going to be phasing from that /​changing their business. So I asked to confirm I could use the Groupon, as the deal ended soon. She said she’d call back in a few hours to confirm. No call. So I didn’t purchase Groupon, which means I’d be at full price. Whatever, I needed it done.
The day before my appointment she called to ‘reschedule’. Now I have to start this hunt all over again for an appointment 22 hours from now. What a pain!

If you have an entire Sunday to waste come here, just make sure you bring breakfast lunch and dinner. The additional $ 2 that the new management is charging should go to more comfortable couches or maybe a cot for those who get tired while waiting.

New owner. Under the new management service is horrible. The car wash is $ 21 I had to ensure that my car was clean correctly they left lint all over the car and the rims were dirty. When I requested them to clean them the attendant told me that was part of the rim. Which it wasn’t. More so, they lost my remote to my garage. When I call to speak to the manager he was too busy to talk to me. I called 3 times and continuously they told me they didn’t have the remote. Once I told them I had to do it police Report mysteriously they found the remote

OMG… LONGEST Wait ever. Do not wash your car here unless you have nothing else to do all day. No customer service and only 3 people washing cars. Waited over one hour and a half for our car and there were only 5 cars ahead. Waste of time. Horrible. Completely unorganized. Better off at any other car wash. Waste of time.

Tempus auto spa did an amazing job detailing my truck. The staff is very accommodating and they have the best waiting area I’ve ever waited in. They have high tech cleaning equipment that tops any other car wash I’ve been to. They really do get every little detail every time I go. I recommend it to every one :)

Starting to think the only positive reviews for this place are coming from people that work there.
I bought a Groupon for this place, and I now understand why this place has gone downhill so fast. I made my appointment for 8 am and asked how long would the showroom detail take. They told me about five hours. I said that’s fine, I just needed the car by 3 pm. I dropped the car off at 745 am. I purposely got there at 330 pm so I could just pick the car up and go. CAR STILL WASN’T READY!!! Five hours from 8 am is 1 pm. So 7 and a half hours and its still not ready? Give me a break!
Anyways, I was allowed to go in the back to see my car as they were vacuuming and cleaning the windows. The outside of the car was pretty clean, nice wax and buff, and they got the stain out of my seat. That was why gave it the two star rating instead of the one star I wanted to give.
That was the last of the good. The owner came running back asking me to pay extra because it was an SUV. 50 dollars! Its a Outlander, not a Suburban, there’s two door sedans bigger than this thing but whatever. As i drove out the dusty dirty lot In the back LATE for my dental appointment, I noticed the center console, untouched. Dusty, still crumbs around the cigarette lighter, I looked at the roof-​liner, still stained. WTF! This wasn’t a detail, it was a wax and buff special with a seat and floor shampoo. I have gotten regular car washes better than this for 30 bucks. What a waste of money and time. Next Groupon I purchase from anywhere, I’ll be sure to read reviews from Unilocal for now on.
My advice: AVOID THIS PLACE… GROUPON or no GROUPON.

I used to like this place. Now they are super slow and have terrible customer service. Go here if you want to wait an hour for a car wash. Horrible.

You will wait 60 to 90 minutes for a simple car wash. Nobody is ever in the customer lobby either, which adds to the confusion and frustration. The pricing is also significantly higher than others in the area. Needless to say I won’t be back. Stay away unless you have all day to wait…

Plenty of other car washes out there — don’t waste your time on this one. Find somewhere where the owners appreciate your business.
I got my car washed here and left a bag on the seat. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought they just vacuum the inside and leave your belongings alone (however, moving some things to vacuum is understandable). They took the liberty to throw out a bag of mine with a few things I needed to make a return to a store. And a bottle of Windex I had in there to clean my windows (not that that was a huge loss).
I noticed the bag was gone when they were done, so I went back in the office to ask the boy at the desk if we could take a look in the garbage. He responded with «I have no idea why you’d leave that on the seat.» I told him I didn’t want to spoken to like that as a customer, and then continued to swear and yell at me. He got about 4 inches from my face at one point and another man came to stop him.
I requested to speak to the manager and he said «I am the fucking manager, I own this place.» Apparently, his parents own it according to the other staff members. Not sure what they would think, but I sure wouldn’t want my son getting in a woman’s face like that.
Unfortunate that another employee with no management responsibility had to apologize on the younger boys behalf.
I won’t be coming here again.

Great full-​service car wash. Free tire shine and air hoses to clean the crevices. Price is a tad high but with the location it is justified. Come early or late to avoid a long wait (30min).

I went here yesterday morning, around 11:15. There were 2 other cars present, no one else. I asked how long it was going to take, I was told 10 – 15 minutes. The car wash took 30 minutes, my dash board is still dusty, they didn’t take any of the bugs on the front of the car off, my back seat was soaked with who knows what, and I wasn’t happy. No one cared, no one did anything. They also charged upwards for $ 30 for the wash.
Take my advice. Head north and check out Riverview Hand Wash at Clybourne and Belmont. They’re cheaper and do a better job. I just picked a place based on proximity and middle of the road Unilocal reviews and feel like I wasted my money. I won’t be back.

Place is under a new owner and the guy is awesome. They did a beautiful job on my car and the owner was kind enough to offer a few discounts for ladies day, window tinting and detailing. Highly recommend. Give this place a shot, you won’t be disappointed.

Went here for the first time today. Despite my arriving about 6 minute late, they were still nice enough to give me the early bird special. The waiting area is comfortable but nothing special, although it only took about 45 minutes, so no big deal either way. The staff was nice enough. Good, easy experience, and my car looks great.

Wow. On my first visit the receptionist charged my credit card three times for one car wash. I just mentioned this to her on my second visit, and she said nothing. No apology. And wow, does she love to SLAM the cash drawer closed!
The guys are nice, the receptionist absolutely isn’t. And the driveway into the car wash has potholes the size of the Grand Canyon. Thanks, but there are so many other places in this beautiful city that offer quality service, and I don’t have to listen to anyone slam a cash drawer ten times on what was a peaceful morning.

I have been to this location a few times and they do an ok job but then again you get what you pay for. When I pulled in I knew I should have reversed, but thought «how long could this possibly take?» 45 minutes later, and an «ok» job.
The staff that you work directly with is horrid. The female cashier couldn’t be bothered to say thank you because that would mean stepping away from her cell phone or parading around her 4 inch heels.
Don’t come here-​unless you have time to kill and enjoy the people watching.

I’ve tried this place 3 times now, and it keeps getting progressively worse. The staff could not be any less friendly than they currently are. The woman at the front desk is so busy with her online shopping and facebooking that you practically have to beg her to let you pay for your carwash. It’s very strange.
It is also SO SLOW. There were about 10 cars/​people ahead of me when I pulled in, and I was just doing an exterior wash. Almost everyone else was doing interior/​exterior. There were people who arrived more than 20 minutes after me who still left before me (there are two lanes and apparently my car was in the slow lane).
Then, they didn’t fully dry my car, so water droplets dried all over it, which meant my car didn’t even look sparkly clean. Terrible experience! Time to hunt for a new spot.

The term cheap and cheerful crossed my mind going in but I left fixated on «cheap».
The prices are reasonable but they are terribly slow. Gold Coast Car Wash was closed due to a burst water main outside their facility so I decided to give this team a try. Five customers ahead of me and it took well over an hour. And to trump that, there was still a lot of crud around the rear license plate and a few other places. I’d run out of time to have them fix it.
When I next parked there were a lot of dirty water streaks from the mirror pods and around the hood and trunk where they hadn’t adequately blown the water away.
I don’t yell or throw tantrums at shoddy service, I just withdraw my patronage. Consider it done. I’m happy to pay a bit more at Gold Coast. I hope their street is repaired soon.
