I really like this place! It’s my go to shawarma place in the surrounding area. That’s my recommendation here but I’ve also had the meat and cheese pies. There good but I totally miss my Arab/Lebanese bakeries in Dearborn! Hard to compare to that! Anyway the pricing is great, and the food is very fresh(always made on the spot for me). My issue is the tiny plaza parking can get crowded at times so you might have to wait a bit for parking.

Simple, fresh, filling and delicious! No frills, but great prices, yet they offer $ 5.00 specials from 5−7pm. This hidden gem is a must try.

Hit the spot once again! Taste just like back home. Love the fact that I can make custom orders here too. The place can be a bit busy but it’s definitely worth the 10 minute wait. I mean it must be good if the place is busy… right? Never fails to satisfy my craving for middle eastern food and helps keep some money in my purse. Highly recommended.

This place has the freshest most delicious bread. They run out fairly early so get there early. They have other snack items as well, which are always fresh. Prices here are affordable and service prompt.

Taza is an excellent place to stop in for some freshly made lahmabajin, spinach pies, and other baked goods. My wife and I stopped in yesterday and had lahmabajin with egg — really, really great. Spinach pie was good and had a lot of zing from sumac — not your regular heavy spinach pie by any means. Everything came to our table warm and freshly pulled from the oven. The counter service is fast and efficient and everything is served with warmth and kindness. There are tables and chairs to dine in but during lunch and early dinner rush you might plan on taking it to go. Parking lot can get a little cramped and full so it might serve you to park on Devon and pay the $ 1.

Food is pretty darn good. Though, the service could improve a bit. Bread pastries are great. Also, their chicken could be of a little greater quality. It seemed a little too dry.

I highly recommend their pizzas/flatbreads. I am not a huge fan of super cheesy pizza and they have options that have no cheese at all. The lahembajin and the one that has lentils and nuts — amazing. The bread that comes with the combo plate is one of the best breads I’ve ever eaten.

in the area around dinner time and decided to give taza bakery a try And it was such disappointment Cashier lady seems she hates her job. Fast forward we ordered and say down Their meat pie came almost row, tasted very awful, I notified the lady upfront and as if nothing happened, she was like ok and moved on, shawarma plate was ok but nothing special, falafel was only thing tasty in this place along with their house bread. Oh btw there were an order error and upon refunding the amount she didn’t included amount they charged with taxes, only plate price which is really not the way to handle business. Total disappointment will not recommend this place

Hello ! They have a bad food service. It is unacceptable I bought bread that is a week old, he had it frozen, and he said it is today fresh. Because he heated up and sale it to us.

I am fortunate that I live within walking distance of Taza’s. I’ve tried most of the menu and I have yet to be dissapointed. The lunch specials are a great deal. A huge sandwich, falafel or shwarma for less than $ 5. If you are ever in the area stop in and get some good food

Loved it! Taza was at the end of my bakery streak in Devon Ave and I’m so happy we ended here! After nibbling on sweets through the day, it was nice to have something hearty. My friend and I ordered two pizzas to go — I believe it was the Lahembajin w/egg & cheese(spiced meat) and a Mouemara(vegetarian, with pistachios and things). They came out pretty quick(~7 minutes) and they asked if we wanted it folded in half so we could walk out with it(yes). By the time we sat down to eat an hour later(at the zoo!) it was still warm and no worse for getting carried out. The bread was soft and sitting with the toppings really let the flavors sink in. The Lahembajin with the cheese was a little rich for me because I’d been eating hachipuri earlier, but the spicy mouemara was excellent. The pistachios were crunchy and the blend of spices really packed a punch. I wish I could come back to eat the rest of the menu!

I dream of their shawermas!!! Love how clean the environment is and you can pretty much see them make your food. Highly authentic and very affordable for the amount of food you get! Wonderful staff, fast service.

Mediocre food and rude service. Bad: Lahembajin pizza Chicken pie Bread. Ok: Combo platter Good: Hummus Ridiculous: I ordered a lemonade soonthie($ 2.99) and received a small cup of lemonade. She then said they don’t have smoothies today but wouldn’t refund the cost or let me change to a Pepsi.

I love the manaeesh aka pizza, it’s very authentic and so delicious. I think it’s even better than the manaeesh in Lebanon Lol. I tried the chicken Shawerma once but didn’t care for it so never again. I highly recommend taza bakery.

AMAZING, MOUTHWATERING food like you wouldn’t believe. I felt like I was back home in Lebanon. The way they make their food cooked FRESH(TAZA means fresh in Arabic) and they roll the dough as you order and place it in the wooden oven that gives it the aroma smell making you crave it even moooooooooore. Ok I am craving it as I type this now, so don’t mind me getting into this review lol! Ok so there is plenty to choose from Manaqeesh to shawarma or even regular kafta places. They also have some spinach pie to munch on and can’t forget to mention Knefeh! The bread they serve AND sell there are freshly made by them in the oven. The bakery isn’t huge, it’s more for order to go kind of place but there are enough tables to sit and indulge in the food right where the good smell is at. This is a far place from where I live, it usually takes me 45 minutes to get there, but once I heard how good it is, I made a trip and it was worth every min in that car. I have been there twice so far this month. I am going to make it a monthly trip since its not very near. Wish they can open one in Dupage area, plenty of middle eastern places but not so good food.

Middle eastern food lovers! This place a must try. They have all your favorite goodies under one roof. Serving sandwiches like beef & chicken sharwarma, & falafel wrapped in the freshly made pita fresh. They also have«pizza» the Lebanese way… zatar, lahmebagen, and veggies. My favorite is the plain cheese. I can’t wait to have it tomorow now… My mouth is watering as I’m typing. So fresh, fast and freakin amazing! Gooooooo already!!!

Sometimes a trip to another country can be as easy as a visit to one of Chicago’s many ethnic neighborhoods. It can be just that simple. Taza Bakery is a real experience for the native Chicagoan looking for more. In this case, Taza Bakery on West Devon Ave. is a great find for wonderful Lebanese and Middle Eastern specialties. Beef and chicken schwarma are outstanding, made fresh to order. The bread is made in an open hearth oven. Many personal pizza selections that are equally as imaginative and different. Wonderful display of Middle Eastern pastry and baklava too. The atmosphere is interesting and friendly. It is a great place to people watch and take in the sights of Devon Ave. Super clean and well lit. Try it! It’s well worth a visit and there is a parking lot to make it all the more inviting. Awesome! Highly recommended.
