Tandil Auto Service

Mike is the owner at Tandil — they work on foreign and domestic as i was searching for a good independent joint to save some dollars on my 02 VW Jetta in lieu of visiting the dealership, yet again (as most VW Jetta owners are well aware of — but we love them!!)… I was skeptical as most service shops are a bit «trial and error’ish» with imports due to lack of diagnostic equipment… but they are really great! good prices, great service. Mike is honest and knowledgeable and cares about his customers — he actually remembered my boyfriend, who drove me over to drop off my car, from years ago when he had some work done on his car. I have been very pleased with the service and time spent with Tandil Auto Service. They are on the NW side and have been there for years and years, as long as I can remember on the corner of Oak Park and Addison. Don’t take your import to another dealership — try Tandil and see what you think. If he can’t do it, or thinks he may have trouble or the parts might be pricey — he’ll let you know up front. I trust him. You should too.
– My only gripe is that you may have to call back before they call you for status — as they get very busy and Mike oversees every repair. Less the point.
