Other than calling in and someone answers «hello» like its their house phone, the food was good!
Actually very yummy! Worth the money and was
Done on time! Definitely will be back!

I got the shrimp po-​boy and dirty rice. The shrimp were amazing and very big. The dirty rice wasn’t that great. It just taste like yellow rice in my opinion. I’d stick with Popeye’s dirty rice. I will definitely be going back though BC I loveeeee SHRIMP!!! I would love it if they sold mac n cheese lol I told the cashier so maybe one day. Wait time was fast and store is very nice and clean.

I think this store has great prices for its offerings. The food is good and the wait time is a little long but for the price, of their specials, it may be fair. I wish they could take my order by phone but they may be concerned about making an order that I will not show up to pay for (it’s a shame they may have to worry about this).
So, I think the time is a sacrifice I’m learning to take given the price I pay compared to their competition, down the street. I wish they could institute a web sight or call in ordering and payment plan so I could plan my pickup around my other plans with the food (hint, hint, wink, wink)…
But their greens and other healthy sides are a great options compared to other competitors so I will remain their customer and encourage you to try and support them also…

If you want your fish grilled and not fried, get it here. Yes, I said NOT FRIED! Do you have any idea how hard that is to find here in the ‘hood?
We had tasty tilapia, greens, and cole slaw. The very nice man at the counter let me have a giant cole slaw even tho it’s not officially on the menu. The greens were tasty, a bit salty, lots of meat in there (guessing pork). The cole slaw was sweet and creamy. The fish was firm and well seasoned. Even the other customers seemed nice. I will be back.

Well… I wish I was writing a review of the FOOD. But I never got that far. My coworkers and I had a substantial order all ready to go, called it in… but they don’t take credit cards over the phone. Huh? Spoke to the manager… at least I think it was the manager… he answered the phone like «yea» or something like that, I wasn’t sure if it was the gentleman who took my order at first, changing his voice a little… anyway, I was told that due to «fraud» they don’t take credit card orders over the phone anymore. Ok, well maybe you should have that on your website? No comment on that. And I get it, if I were asking you to deliver to an alley, maybe that wouldn’t be such a good idea to take a credit card. But I was delivering to my JOB, which is a pretty well-​known institution on the South Side. I was calling from my WORK PHONE, which caller ID should confirm said institution. Heck, I even offered to show ID for the credit card when you arrived… But anyway, moving on… I saw they had online ordering. I asked about that. I was told, no, that went to their OTHER store on Madison and they’re closed right now. But the website’s online ordering system is still fully operational? So, in theory, someone could enter their credit card information and food order into a BLACK HOLE and have it disappear? You wanna talk about fraud, to me, THAT sounds like a bigger risk. But, suffice it to say, I didn’t get to order. I don’t know if I will, even if I have cash. Though fried lobster sounds good… I was kind of put off by the attitude I got when I tried to place the order. A shame, because that menu looked soooo good…

I’ve heard nothing but good things about this place. Its everything I’ve heard and more. Keep up the great food and great service.

The staff is excellent!!! Outstanding Customer Service. Food is always fresh and hot. Will tell you upfront if they are out of something. Will suggest another item just as great.
I love the grilled catfish w/​red potatoes and corn

I’d never heard of fried lobster and now I can’t get it out of my head, or my taste buds. Tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned, this is a dish you have got to try. In addition there are lots of other great meal choices like Po’ Boys, Fish or Shrimp Tacos, and Buffalo Wings. Many of the dishes are available either fried or grilled. You can even order for delivery.
