Subway

I like Subway for an inexpensive healthy meal. $ 6.63 feeds 2 people. A 12″ tuna sandwich on Italian herbs & cheese w/​provolone, spinach, tomatoes, cucumber, pickles, red onions, green peppers, giardiniera peppers & sriracha sauce.
I can be like Jared. Uhhh maybe not.

It’s Subway. You know what you’re getting when you come here.
The restaurant is clean. Check!
The service is on par with other Subway stores. Some employees are rude, some are spot on. The day crew is usually better than the night crew.
Parking is convenient.
Eat fresh.

Rude and inconsiderate employees. Food is same. 2 stars for the cleanliness. Barely.

This subway is horrible. it is so slow. i went there today for a quick stop and they had two workers. the guy was sooo slow. literally took 25 mins to make two foot long subs (i looked at my watch). The girl who seemed like she knew what she was doing, was very rude. she obviously doesn’t enjoy her job and refused to help me and helped 3 other people in back of me while i waited for the guy to make my time consuming subs. I don’t mind if you are new but the whole vibe threw me off. I don’t recommend going here unless you want to leave in a horrible mood. The girl was so rude I would hope for at least a smile and not have someone tell me she wasn’t going to take my order and that I can wait for someone else to take it. The only upside about that visit was leaving.

The only reason this Subway stands out for me, is b/​c it was one of the very first Subways I ever went to so many years ago (if not the first), back when they were new to Chicagoland. In addition, my family used to often hit up this location, before driving north on the Edens to either Ravinia or the Botanic Garden. Not surprisingly, myself and everyone in my family have pretty much moved on from Subway over the years.
At least when I went here last earlier this year, desperate to stop my hunger for food, the sub I had was of their typical mediocre quality. It was nothing terrible or rememberable, obviously.
I did appreciate that the person who made my sub was friendly, and that they still have the same cookies as I remember them from years ago, the reason I settled on giving them 2 stars. However, I’d probably hit up somewhere else for a sandwich next time, and that’s that.
