Visiting Chicago for a couple days and booked a same day mani/​pedi with Nellie who did an AMAZING job. Takes pride in what she does with out tacking on extra time in the chair. Owner is very courteous and driven to make everyone comfortable and happy with their experience. Highly recommend!

Such wonderful service! So clean… professional… Great service… You walk out with perfect nails… And everything is extremely clean! And that is worth every penny!

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! My review is long overdue as I’ve been coming here for a couple years. To begin with, the service is impeccable. My pedicures, manicures, and no chips always last so much longer than those I have received from any other salon in the city — and by longer I mean at least 10 days! They always take their time, I never feel as though they are rushing the service to push me out to get another person into their chair. Everyone here is so friendly and helpful! Even though this salon is a bit pricier than others, I have never considered it expensive because the quality is so much better! If you haven’t been, make an appointment now!

My friend turned me onto this place. AMAZING. Love, love, love the bio sculpture mani, especially the one out of the tube since it’s so thin!

Watch out ladies, this place could cancel your appointment without informing you. If I could I would have given this place 0 rating for their receptionist who was in charge of booking my mani pedi.

I want to clarify where my frustration was coming from since the manager has contacted me. I am not speaking to my experience of the actual service. My upsetting experience was mainly with the person in charge of booking my appointment when I booked my appointment over the phone. She did not give me clear instructions of the appointment and cancellation policy, did not tell me my appointment could not be carried out in 1 hour and 15 minutes, which caused me assuming my appointment still stands upon my arrival. Hope this helps and I sincerely wish everyone enjoy his/​her time at beauty salons.

The manicure itself is 5 stars, even with regular polish it didn’t chip for 2 weeks! I’m giving 4 stars because they are slow– a mani pedi took two hours and they don’t have massage chairs. They’re also quite expensive, but they do a better job than any other place I’ve found in Chicago/​Evanston. If the price doesn’t offend you and you have some time to kill I’d recommend! The ladies who work here are very nice also and take good care of you.

I love this spa. I’ve only gotten my nails and toes done but the service is great, the spa is clean and very nicely decorated. Prices are more than fair.

I got my nails done for my wedding at STIL. The nails looks great and the manicurist worked to find a perfect color (actually two overlaid). Overall it was a clean, nice salon and I’d recommend it to others.

Was able to get a Christmas Eve appointment for a no chip manicure. Upon arrival I was promptly led to the station and was told that Iris would be my manicurist. I was offered water, coffee or a Mimosa. I chose a green tea because it was a bit too early for me to partake in a Mimosa.
Now for the service:
Don’t expect them to soak your nails in warm water. That was my first time with one like that and thought it was a little odd, but what the heck, they had good reviews. Iris did a great job on my nails. She was meticulous and took the time to make sure that I liked my color and that it looked perfect. I wasn’t even done with my manicure and I was getting the first of many compliments on my nails. Iris wasn’t a big conversationalist and I loved it.
My only gripe is that on the promotions page they advertised a $ 40 no chip until December 31^st, but I was charged $ 50. I don’t know, maybe I didn’t read the fine print.
Overall, I thought that I received a great manicure and the ambience was really nice. Make sure that you bring your own scrub brush when you need to wash your hands before polish application because they don’t provide one.

One of the owners Stela visits my place of work and her nails are ALWAYS on point, so when I asked her about where she went and she told me herself and her sister had a salon I HAD to go.
I went to STĪL a week ago today and got a Gelish no-​chip manicure and a regular pedicure. I learned some very helpful tips about no-​chip nail services. First of all, Shellac, Gelish, + OPI are all brands that produce a type of no-​chip gel polish. Each brand uses different ways to produce their no-​chip polishes and due to this, removing them from nails may have different processes. This is helpful for me to understand so that when a nail tech asks me what brand I have on my nails, I can help her to remove it properly without damaging my nails as she will understand what is needed based on the brand of no-​chip I have on my nails. From my understanding, Gelish + Shellac brands use a softer type of formulation that is easier to remove than brands that use a harder more chalky formulae like OPI. Keep this shit in mind the next time you get a no-​chip service as this helps the nail tech better remove your no-​chip saving you time and damage to your nails.
I do hope that helps someone out there! Now on to my experience:
I got into STĪL at 9am to get my mani/​pedi with Iris. Iris is super sweet and when I tell you she got all the dry skin off my feet I mean she got «to work on Myra’s feet!» If you’ve never watched Martin, that last line won’t be funny to you + you don’t have any idea what I’m talking about. In other words, my feet were cleaned up, perfectly polished, no dry skin in sight.
I had some issues getting my previous no-​chip mani removed (by OPI and I had no idea I had OPI as I specifically asked for a Shellac no-​chip but Stela educated me on how nail shops will just give you whatever no-​chip brand of polish they offer regardless of what you ask for if you’re not clear on the differences in the brands of polishes). I do prefer the Gelish or Shellac as they are softer gel no-​chip polishes. Stela made sure to take care of me and my nails and after Iris painted them perfectly, she double-​checked them to be sure that they were perfect. The customer service is impeccable AND my nails… I am really in love with them. I feel like they really care about the actual health of the nail as well as the aesthetic. I haven’t frequented many nail salons as I just feel like so many don’t get it and my nails have been ruined to look just ok for a week or two, but STĪL GETS IT.
The interior is beautiful and they offer you a variety of beverages: coffee, water, tea.
I really feel like I’ve found my home shop as they even do designs. I’m so happy Stela came into my workplace so that I could find her shop! Thank you ladies!!!

Last minute appointment for (regular) mani/​pedi. Iris was my technician. She is somewhat new there and did a great job. She expertly removed my gel polish from a prior gel mani. It is 8 days later and my nails still look perfect. They have lots of polish choices and all the products and supplies look new. Tuesday special put it in my price range.

I’m on like my 12^th round of nails from Stil. I absolutely love each and every one of the creations that I get. I’ve only had one less than stellar experience and even that’s on me for not saying anything about it. Every women at Stil is knowledgeable, talented, and responsive to the needs of clients. The one time I did go somewhere else when I was out of town (a place I had been before and loved) I was extremely disappointed. Shoulda waited for STIL!

I had the pleasure of getting a pedicure from STIL on my 5 year anniversary and their service went well beyond my expectations. I was greeted at the front desk by the Stella asking if I’d like a glass of wine or champaign as soon as I checked in. That helped set the tone for the next hour+. The pedicure was fantastic and was so relaxing. Everything they have done with the salon screams class from the check-​in experience to their services. I would most definitely go back.

My best friend and I went tonight for last-​minute pedicures, and they were fantastic! I’m really glad we were able to get appointments just a few hours beforehand. Everyone we met was really nice, and our technicians, Holly and Tammy, were both great. My legs and feet feel amazing, and both of our polish jobs are really well done. The place was clean, hip, and had a great selection of brands and colors. We were even offered a glass of bubbly, but sadly, we both can’t imbibe right now.
So glad we decided STIL was the place for us! A little on the pricey side, but totally worth it. There’s a huge difference between your usual salon and going somewhere upscale for a special treat.
Next time I’m in Chicago, I’ll definitely be back.

UPDATE: 17 days later and my gelish mani still looks pretty good, except for one nail lifted today and I had to take it off. Thanks again Stil for a great experience.

Stayed in a hotel close by and my mom and I made an appointment, they could not have been more pleasant and 4 days later my nails are still lovely!

I made an appointment last minute (as in I was getting on the train and called for an appointment 20 minutes later) and they didn’t have a problem taking me in. They are pretty fancy… Which I should have expected based on their location, but still. Pretty fancy. My technician was also named Tammy and she was great. Their prices are a little higher than my preferred neighborhood salon, but definitely still manageable.

I chose this nail salon based on the almost 5 star ratings.
Unfortunately, I had a different experience. The manicure and manicurist I and my friend had earned only 1 star. They don’t soak your hands, the massage lasts about 40 seconds, we had to direct her through each step– including to file all nails evening and asking for the dryer. It was horrible.
Although the salon was clean, the feeling of it was inimical and inhospitable as it seemed like a social hour for their frequenters and they didn’t interact with us– which would be ok if they weren’t telling their life stories to the people next to them and the people next to them. This was not a private event, people came and went.
Maybe they give better service to their «regulars» but I would not recommend them.
