Freddy was the best tour guide ever, so much fun!!! Wished he could have spent the whole week with us! Great tour!

Had a blast! What a fun way to tour the city. Our guide McKenna was very knowledgeable and made it a fun experience.

Great time and great guide — Freddy made the tour very entertaining and it seemed he knew people everywhere we went — I would highly recommend taking the tour — if only Steve would get Freddy a new phone — I thought they outlawed flip phones — LOL

Steve is your typical distracted and highly energized New Yorker who runs the operation. Not the most focussed but certainly takes pride in his tours. Freddy… you were a great guide. We truly enjoyed our experience with you last week. Thanks for much for the 2 hour private time, it was more than worth every penny. Being local to Chicago, we still found the tour outstanding. I took away a star b/​c the team needs more consistent answering of phones with a focussed staff. We will definitely be using them again!

Lots of fun! We got to see most of the city and it was a good time! Great tour with lots of details and scenic stops. Definitely recommend.

I would highly recommend enjoying a Segway ride in Chicago, however, I would not suggest using Steve’s Segway. Steve the owner was rude, and for no reason insulting to me, as well as to his help. I was shocked at his lack of proper manners to others. Possibly he was having a bad day, however, why take a chance, go to another business. Everyone else I encountered on my stay in Chicago were friendly, helpful, and polite. He was the only blemish, on an otherwise wonderful visit.

McKenna was awesome and what a fabulous way to see Chicago! Great way to get the lay of the land. Segways were easy for everyone in our group to learn how to use

We did the evening tour and added a little extra time to make it 6 – 9.
We ended up staying out till 10:20 as our tour guide, Freddie, took us on an extended tour (per his generosity). He was very knowledgeable about the city (due to his previous work experience at the museums). He was also very friendly and funny.
We passed another Segway tour a number of times but their guide didn’t seem to be as friendly or be able to keep the group together.
I’d highly recommend the evening tour as there are fewer people about and the weather is cooler. Moreover, the view of the city at night is spectacular.
A warning: riding a Segway is tiring on the feet and legs so do expect some pain from fatigue and don’t go if you are presently experiencing leg/​foot issues.
Finally, the boss, Steve, seems to rub a lot of people the wrong way with his «direct and curt» approach but it’s nothing to take personally — that’s just his personality — generally speaking, he was still very helpful.

I would give this place minus starts if I could– avoild like the plague! The owner (Steve) is rude, obnoxious and thinks nothing of screaming at his customers. He canceled our tour when the other party didnt show up due to bad weather and increased the pre-​decided price if we wanted to go once we got there! I cannot imagine how anyone can run a business like this– I’m sure people want to bail out based on the weather but why penalize your clients who DO show up for the tour?
There are several other segway tours in Chicago with great ratings and I would NOT choose this one ever again. Wasted time booking, waiting in there and arguing with an unreasonable man!

I highly recommend Steves Segway Tours. From my first call with Steve I could tell I had found the best Segway company. We had a terrific tour yesterday. Our guide was funny and knowledgeable. We covered over 7 miles on our 3 hour tour and the Segway was the perfect approach for me and my 15 year old son. We saw many other Segway tour groups during our tour and I always felt like we were seeing more and stopped at better points at each site and I kept saying to myself «I’m so glad I’m on this Segway tour and not that one!» Their office is a little tricky to find but it is worth the search as you will get the best tour with Steves

Much better than I expected.
My friend and I took a flyer to try out Segway riding on a free afternoon, and had a truly great time. They did a great job training us, and then it was off into the city with Freddie. He’s full of stories from his past as a punk rocker, about the city, and even about the Segway tour business. Always funny, lots of fun. Highly recommended!

Second time with Steve’s Segway Tours, received a great private tour of Chicago with my wife. April was a great tour guide.

Had a blast even though it was one of the coldest days recorded in March! Wonderful way to see city. Fantastic tour guide! Fred rocked!

3 Friends and I took the Museum Campus tour on a recent Friday Morning. We had all ridden Segways before, so the 45 minutes of ‘prep’ seemed to take forever. However, once we got going, things were excellent. The route though the public spaces is excellent. The guides’ stories were entertaining and there were plenty of opportunities for photo-​ops. We actually spent more than 3 hours on the Segways, so we definitely got our money’s worth. Steve’s is a great place to take a Segway tour and I would recommend it to everyone.

Great experience. We did the electric Trikkes tour, seems more fun than the Segways, definitely a faster ride. April is a great guide. Kids under 12 cannot ride the Segway but can ride the Trikkes. Fun stuff.

I’m surprised at some of these negative reviews. They were very nice and accommodating when we showed up late due to bad traffic. the tour was cool and the people were nice
