Established in 1990.

I began my private practice, part time, in 1990. In 2000, with the addition of Heart Centered Hypnotherapy, it became a full time practice.

Business Owner

I have 28 years of experience, providing counseling, psychotherapy, and clinical hypnotherapy. I treat individuals as well as couples. I also provide LCSW supervision and consultation to therapists beginning in private practice.

My background is in psychodynamic psychotherapy, which means I believe much of our behavior is rooted in our subconscious. Often the goal of therapy can be to become aware of our patterns, to understand our motivations and to identify our early unconscious conclusions about ourselves.

Over time I have also come to believe that there is a strong connection between our thoughts, emotions, and our physical body. Understanding how these influence each other can also be an important aspect of healing.

Although I provide traditional «talk therapy», I also have studied with a Peruvian Shaman, a Lakota Medicine man, and several folks who do energy and subtle energy work. I bring these experiences into the session when/​if the client feels it is appropriate.
