Amazing Owners and Staff– they know fashion and they are so helpful and kind! Even if I don’t purchase anything(and that’s rare), I enjoy my time chatting with everyone– they are truly pleasant people to be around. This boutique is a little treasure inside a big city– I’d go here before any other retailer because it’s special pieces– great bags, apothecary to die for, and really unique items that you won’t find elsewhere. ADORE!!!

Will not be spending another penny here. Was sold a pair of sunglasses that were crooked but they were the last one. Manager told me to go across the way to a glasses shop that would fix them free for me. So I did just that. Unfortunately the issue was with the nose bridge area of the sunglasses and not the arms by the ears. They were not able to make them straight so I returned back to the shop to return them. Who wants crooked sunglasses? They would not return them. Only offered me an exchange in store. Unbelievable. Terrible customer service here. Sales people are pretty bad and not very bright. I will drop my money elsewhere that’s for sure.

unfortunate combination: cool products, HORRID staff. incredibly rude and dismissive and i was left waiting 15 minutes just to be told a product I specifically came in to purchase was out of stock.

If this wasn’t the only place in Chicago to buy certain brands I wouldn’t come here at all. The complex it’s in is very ghost-town-like in comparison to other thriving shopping complexes like the Water Tower. Whenever I go in I’m rarely greeted and often given the cold shoulder. If you don’t look like you’re going to drop $$$ you’re going to be treated like you’re not there. Sometimes it’ll just be me and two employees and not even a hello! Despite the negatives, they do have very unique pieces there, I appreciate the curated aspect of it.

This place is a hidden gem. I love coming here to find fun gifts for all my friends and family. Though it’s a little bit pricey, you can definitely find some unique goods. I will be coming back soon!

I went in seeking a gift item and staff seemed determined to act as if I did not exist – would not even make eye contact. The selection is interesting but quite monochromatic and priced at maximum retail for what it is.

This is a fabulous little boutique that should not be missed. They carry unusual things that you can’t find at every department store. The owners are often in the store and are helpful but never pushy. They have great taste and great personalities to match. It is always a must-visit every time I am in Chicago and I am always thrilled with what I purchase.

This is a great shop for gifts for yourself or for others. A curated selection of items from books to purses to jewelery and more. If you are on the Mag Mile shopping this is a must shop stop!

Who ever does the buying for this store has GOT to be an interesting, artistic and eclectic person. The place is fabulous — everything is fabulous. It is a little mix of everything, books, unique jewelry, fashionable one of a kind clothing, sun glasses and even make-up. This is my second time visiting the store and I spent about 40 minutes just looking at all the unique items they have to offer. The woman who helped me was so friendly and honest with what looked good /not so good. I will make this a regular stop every time I get to Chicago. I may not be able to always purchase something but I will say this, I will not regret the 40 minutes gazing at fabulous things.

Well the owners of Jake are back, but I am sure that isn’t news to anyone. Guys who are savvy enough to rip off young designers are sure to figure out a comeback, right? I do have to say that Space 519 has great things, brands, and a space to offer however the following is what just doesn’t do it for me. I have been in 4 times now and I waited after the first time in to write this review. The first 3 times, one of the owners, and then the other one sat behind the computer without more than a hello and a goodbye, great. The last time there was a younger woman in there who just did not understand the meaning of being subtle. Every single item I picked up, cosmetic or clothing, was her«ABSOLUTEFAVVVVORITE thing in the whole world». Most of the cosmetic items offered are somewhat unique and higher end so I am not disputing their greatness, but I don’t care. We have completeley opposite complexions and what she loves I may not. I don’t like to be pressured and followed around the store. I decided against buying anything because the last time I got some candles I found them at Nordstrom and on Amazon for MUCH less. Items are marked up so beware. I can appreciate a boutique’s overhead and need to mark things up but in this day in age I don’t think the experience is worth the extra buck.

Omg this place is adorable! They carry stock like makeup, jewelry, and fragrances that I can’t even find on-line. Seriously, that is pretty freaking amaze-balls given how shopping is so homogenized these days. I also fell in love with Ray, the salesperson who assisted me. Originality – what a concept!

My experience at this store was wonderful. When my friend and I first walked in, we were the only customers in the store, and although the cashier greeted us, he did not follow us around, which made for more comfortable browsing. The website describes Space519 as «a refined general store,» which is an interesting thing to think about. They don’t sell 20-lb bags of flour or have mail boxes like old-time general stores did, but they sell just enough of a few different kinds of items(clothes, makeup, books, furniture) to almost always find something you want. We first saw some unique bracelets, and then moved on to a selection of coffee table books and decoration items. While my friend was making her purchase, I looked at some unique makeup brands that I’d never heard of– and I spend a lot of time buying makeup! I wish that their website had the brands listed so that I could go back and peruse, because the reality is unless I’m in that store again, they really didn’t have anything I couldn’t live without. This store is fairly pricey($ 35 for the books, $ 20 for nail polish), but it’s very cute. It’s perfect for buying gifts, especially if you don’t know the person well and need to buy them something but have no clue what in particular to buy. Definitely go visit!

What a cool store! It’s a «Redefined General Store» they sell Amazing Art, furniture, clothes, and shaves needs… odds are if you need it or want it, they have a variation of it. It is located in the 900 shops and is a no brainer for travelers staying at the four seasons who have lost luggage. It is also a great spot to find really cool things for your home. andd guess what ladies, they have a ton of shit for stylish chicks. I also like it because you don’t need to have skinny pete wentz legs to buy their Jeans from Baldwin. I cannot stress enough how good this place is but don’t take my word for it! GOCHECKITOUT, and TELLEMLARGEMARGESENTYA!!! (Items are moderate to pricey)
