South Shore Self Storage, Inc. has been serving Chicago’s South Shore neighborhoods self storage needs since 1996. Located near the historic South Shore Cultural Center, South Shore Self Storage provides a variety of self storage units, rents Uhaul trucks and sells moving supplies.

Established in 1996.

Established in 1996, we have had the absolute pleasure of serving the South Shore community for almost two decades. We pride ourselves on honest prices and secured, clean units. Self-​storage is what we do; great service is who we are!

Our original facility was established in 1969 and South Shore is our third location to our family business. We have over forty years’ experience in customer service and commitment.

Meet the Manager

Jeffery Derrick S.

Manager

Brothers Jeffery and Derrick Spencer are second generation owners of this facility, happily taking over what their beloved father started in 1969. Personally, Jeffery has an affinity for excellent customer service and connections and finding great local and citywide hotspots to hang his hat after a long day of moving and storage… Younger brother Derrick moves hard and plays hard! He has a loving wife and family and lives by the motto «do or do not, there is no try,» and extends this Jedi oath to everything he does!

In the Front – John has worked with us for years and will gladly play you a song on his guitar!
