Great doctor! Tries to completely understand your problem rather than just making a couple adjustments and sending you off. I liked that when one of his suggested treatments didn’t help, he was quick to try another technique that did. Easy to get a lunch time appointment with and a super nice guy.

Since I found Dr. Spencer thru Unilocal,I figured it’s time I finally write my review.
From the first phone call to Dr. Spencer, I was impressed. I was in pain and needed to see a chiropractor that day. When I called his office and explained my issue, he made sure I got an appt right away. He was gentle with his manipulations on my back which I was happy with since I was in pain. After the appt, I immediately felt better. I was sent home with stretches to do to help my situation which to me is great, that way I’m not only relying on the chiropractor to help.
I’ve gone back several times over the year for various issues, headaches, neck pain, foot pain, joint pain in my hand and of course my visits for back pain. Dr. Spencer always helps take the pain away and gives me exercises to do at home to keep the pain down. He also tries to find the cause of the issues, so I don’t have to keep coming back all the time for the same thing. He wants to make sure you feel better without a ton of visits. I’ve been to other chiropractors that have you come in several times a week for months for the same issue, which is usually why I stop seeing them because I don’t have the time to constantly go there. I like that Dr. Spencer wants to get you back to normal as soon as possible.
Another plus, he has a massage therapist in the office. I’ve had work done from Ellen on my back, neck and arm. She is a good massage therapist and really gets deep into those muscles that are tight and causing pain. She makes sure you are comfortable during the session and that she’s getting the area you are having the issue with.
So I would recommend you go see Dr. Spencer for any pain you are experiencing. He does a great job, is professional, very caring, gentle and makes you feel relaxed. Oh, and he also has a great personality and a good sense of humor!

Dr. Spencer is awesome! If you want a great chiropractor who cares about his patients then I highly recommend Dr Spencer.
After having my son in April I was suffering from serious back pain. After several visits and homework exercises I was feeling 110% better.
Last Monday morning I woke up with severe neck pain from sleeping on it wrong. I called Dr. Spencer and he got me an appointment that morning. After my appointment was over he told me to call him know how I was doing in the afternoon and that he wanted to set up a follow up appointment the next day to get more movement in my neck. I was so thankful and happy to have a great chiropractor who cares.
He really takes the time to listen to his patients.
Also, Ellen, the massage therapist, is amazing, too!

I had never seen a chiropractor before; I’d never had a reason to visit one. In May of this year I developed a sore neck, I thought from sleeping in an odd position. This had happened before but always corrected itself within a few days. But this time it was getting worse, and in about 2 weeks time I had constant neck and sholder pain that was shooting down into my right arm. I looked in the mirror and my left shoulder was higher than my right and my next was tilted to the left. I was seriously out of wack and it was too painful to stand up straight.
I found Dr. Spencer on Unilocal and chose him becuase: all reviews were great (except one), he was located close to my office, took my insurance and could see me within a day. I felt some relief after the first visit, just from a little therapy and some neck exercises which I continued at home. That continued for visits 2 and 3, and by then I estimated I felt 85% better and I was standing straight again! With continued therapy through visits 4, 5 and 6 and some massages from his massage therapist, I felt about 95%. A huge improvement from when I first walked into his office! Today I have zero pain. If the pain should return, no doubt I’ll return to Dr. Spencer’s office.
He’s great at what he does and genuinely concerned with the wellbeing of his patients.

I’ve had occasional back freakouts over the years, but never visited a chiropractor (or any medical professional) about it until this latest bout had me in pain and barely able to move for a full week. I picked Scott because he’s across the street from the office and seemed to have good reviews here on Unilocal.I’m SO glad I went. I think I was expecting a bunch of bs, but what I found is that he gives good, practical advice and used some physical therapy techniques to help me get back to normal.
After a few visits, I was feeling better but worried about the upcoming holiday weekend (this was just before Memorial Day) and have a full 4 days without a treatment — what if I was paralyzed with pain again? before I could even bring up my worries, he told me he didn’t want me to feel abandoned over the holiday and to call the office if I needed him. He’d check his messages and said he’d come in on the weekend if I felt I needed an adjustment to get me through. As it turned out, I didn’t need to — just following his advice and doing the exercises he recommended made me feel better every day — but how amazing is that offer? It really showed he cares that you’re in pain.
Also, no need to worry about the pressure to come back for weekly adjustments, which is what I’ve heard a lot of chiros do. After the first few sessions, he recommended I come back once every 4 – 6 weeks, after I got back to normal, and that was it. What a relief, to NOT get a lengthy sales pitch with dire threats, as I’d been led to expect. Anyway, I’m feeling all normal again but I haven’t been back even though I know I should. That’s not his fault, I’m just having a bad year, body-​wise, and really would like to go a solid month without a doctor visit of some kind. I probably will eventually go back, though — it’s inexpensive, relatively speaking, and it takes all of like 20 minutes per visit.
So, in sum: smart, friendly, professional, affordable, and actually cares about the people who come to him for help. I feel l like I lucked out to find him.

My husband and I have both been seeing Dr. Spencer for a few months now. We have both been really pleased with the quality of services provided, the convenience of the office location, and the ease of scheduling appointments.
They have a great location downtown and I can always get an appointment at a convenient time (I love to go just before or right after work). They even have a convenient online appointment scheduling system so you don’t have to call! If you’re from my generation and have phone-​o-​phobia this is great!
As far as the Chiropractic services, Dr. Spencer is great! He is thorough and knowledgeable and has given me exercises do at home so that I feel better faster and so I stay feeling better. Unlike other Chiros that I have visited in the past, Dr. Spencer works hard to get you feeling 100% and doesn’t require you to come in for lots and lots of appointments.
And what’s better? MASSAGES! Ellen is great for massage therapy. She has worked wonders on my back and neck and she does a great job of creating a relaxing and healing environment in the middle of the busy loop.

This was a really great experience. I had been having neck problems for a couple of days. Dr. Spencer was able to realign me and give me some exercises to do on my own to help with the pain. I am not 100% yet, but I am getting there! Great location, easy in and out. The best yet? No waiting! He knew that he was running behind and instead of having me wait at his office he called me and asked if I could come a half hour later. Nice.

I was referred to Dr. Spencer about last summer because of back issues that I have had for a long time. From the very first time I walked into the office it has been a delightful experience. Dr. Spencer and his staff are professional, friendly and absolutely kind to their clients with every visit. What I like best about Dr. Spencer is that he makes sure to explain everything he is doing to me and when he knows I have had a very bad back day he has even gone out of his way to check in with me via email or phone. I have referred Dr Spencer to my friends and family who all have found their visits to be knowledgeable and helpful to their pain. I am very happy to have found such a wonderful chiropractor who loves what he does and truly takes care of his patients chiropractic needs.

Although Scott Spencer appears to be a nice chiropractor, do not be fooled. He charged me $ 80 for my first visit, telling me that he would take x-​rays and give me a «massage,» besides determining what might be ailing me. But when I visited him, he was going back and forth between my room and another «patient,» he never gave me a diagnosis, he didn’t take the x-​rays, and he didn’t give me anything that could be considered a «massage.» Right at the end of my visit he said he wouldn’t take the x-​rays because he didn’t think I needed them. He still charged me what he had said he would, minus the three things I mentioned. I wrote him an email and he responded that I should be satisfied since I admitted that I felt better, and he denied having told me the fee included x-​rays. He claimed he did not take x-​rays because he didn’t have an x-​ray machine at his Loop location. I originally went to see him because he took over the practice of Francoise Martin who was recommended to me. All I have to say is that he is the proverbial «quack.» Do not waste your time seeing him.
