Scoot For Good

At first I was very aggravated with this company. However, the person who showed us how to use the scooters was a very pleasant person. I will give tips for others who want to use this company. First what is said on Groupon is incorrect. It is NOT a tour. It is only a rental. If you can ride a bike you can drive a scooter. It is just that easy. Before you drive off on your own you will get a lesson. Second the address is not on their website. It just gives intersections. When I called she gave me this address and I was able to find her. 4600 N Winchester. Sorry for all the «shes» and «hers» I can’t remember her name which is to bad cause she was so nice. Third arrive at least a half hour early. We had an appointment for 2 on Saturday, and there was no parking anywhere. You cannot park on the side street unless you have a permit. Even though you have to pay for parking on Damen there was still no where to park. It took us 20 mins to find parking and almost 10 to walk to the location. We got to the location cross intersections at 2:03 and didn’t meet her until about 2:40. She did start our time at 3. My feelings on dealing with businesses is if the customer service is awesome why sweat the other stuff. I think this is a new business so I cut her some slick for that. Also I think she lives in the city and doesn’t think what people from outside the city have to deal with when they are looking for her location eg parking issues. Five stars very pleasant experience!

If your ever in the city, rent scooters. It’s by far the best way to experience Chicago. It was our first time renting from scoot for good, I will never use any other company. Great service! She explained everything to us, even some great spots to visit!

The ladies were very friendly and flexible. They helped us get the scooters figured out and gave us great recommendations for roads. This was a Groupon, but I feel it is worth full price. The scooters have great storage for bags or other things. We did not opt for the tour but would consider it next time, especially with a larger group.

Awesome time renting a scooter on Memorial Day. What better way to cruise around town? And do I need to say finding parking was SO easy! Montrose Harbor was packed with BBQ and more cars than I could count and we rolled up and found immediate parking. Seriously so nice and the weather was beautiful!

I really hope that this company is successful. We had such a great time doing the Chicago neighborhoods tour. We went all the way from Old Town to the Bahai Temple in Wilmette on a beautiful late summer Sunday.
The tour ladies were great! Nhu-​y and Andrea made sure that everything was taken care of. They were so friendly and fun! We saw the neighborhoods of Lakeview, Uptown, Andersonville, Rogers Park and Evanston. On our way back we stopped at Montrose Harbor and Beach. We even got a good tour of Vietnamese restaurants.
It was so much fun we didn’t want the day to end. I would 100% recommend this to anyone, and I would do it again in a heartbeat!

Just checked this out with some guys from work, was one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had. The ladies were extremely accommodating and cool people too.

These gals are awesome!!! My hubs wanted a scooter for his 40^th; since that wasn’t in the cards, I went about finding a place to rent and came across Scoot for Good. I called and left a message explaining what I was interested in. Nhu-​Y got back to me immediately and was so enthusiastic about helping me make this surprise gift a big success. The rates are totally reasonable and it was very easy to book online. On the day of the rental, Nhu-​Y and another employee arrived (YES! They can bring the scooter to YOU!) on two scooters (one to rent to us, one to ride home). They patiently taught my husband how to operate the scooter safely, brought two helmets to be sure we had the correct size, and made us feel like we were on vacation in our own city. My husband had an absolute BLAST scooting around the city. Now, I’m telling everyone I know about what a great experience we had with SfG. We will definitely rent again.
