Worst. Service. Ever. My husband and I signed up for an infant CPR class and because our car broke down, we were not able to make it. I have called three times and emailed three times and received no response from Chicago CPR in order to reschedule or receive a refund.
Not really understanding the 5 star reviews here — this seems like a scam to take our money! I would love to give Safety Squad and Chicago CPR zero stars. Sadly not an option. I am now 9 months pregnant and will probably not be able to have life saving knowledge because our baby will come before Chicago CPR gets back to me! (If they ever do.) Save your money.

We just started a family with a bang — twins. Neither my husband nor I had ever installed or used a car seat. Brooks did an excellent job of concisely and completely explaining the anatomy of our car and our car seats, walking through installation step by step, and ensuring we could repeat the process. I appreciated his attention to detail and feel confident that our girls will be traveling in safety.

I am the mother of a toddler and had our first car seat professionally installed but decided I could figure out the instructions for the convertible seat when she got a bit older. Wow was I wrong. Safety seat will come to you but I just booked an online appointment at a location in Lincoln Park. Best $ 55 I ever spent. They know their stuff and I feel so much better. Thanks!

Love Safety Squad! I am currently 39 weeks and expecting our first baby. My husband and I have had our child birth classes. We recently went to the baby essentials class held by Safety Squad at Giggle. WOW! We walked away with a lot of great information! I wish that I had taken this class before any of our other birth/​child classes and before registering for gifts. The class taught us CPR, car seat safety, bunting, how to put a baby in a car seat, fire safety, crib safety and much more. Steve, Brooks and Kim (taught the class) were great! They were open to any and all questions.
We walked away much more aware and knowledgable. I now have a to do list, check fire detector batteries, buy a new car seat cover that it safe, CO2 detectors, return certain baby products, etc… Things that didn’t cross our minds.
After the class we set up an appt to have our car seat installed by Safety Squad. We did have it installed by another car seat tech a few days earlier only to realize that the guy installed the seat, but never showed my husband and I how to do it or operate it.
The car seat install with Steve was great! He really took the time to show us the install, then had us do it so that we knew what to do.
Great job Safety Squad! I highly recommend the classes and the car seat install!

So update. .. my baby is one year old – the bucket seat has been sitting in storage since January waiting for a future sibling to use. Out of sight, out of mind. .. and we get an e-​mail from Brooks telling us that the base of our car seat (yes the one we had problems with before baby was born) was recalled by the company. He has the numbers for our seat written down so not only did the e-​mail contain all of the recall information but Brooks pointed out that our seat IS affected by the recall. 24 hours later – I get an e-​mail from the store we bought it at but even the store e-​mail didn’t tell us for sure that OUR seat was affected, just that a seat was recalled.
Brooks rocks. Safety squad rocks. We’ll be sending the base back so that everything is ready for any future babies. I can’t say it enough, go to Safety Squad!

I highly recommend this service. Brooks was very informative. Who knew that putting in a car seat, and buckling up your baby would be so technical. I am relieved that he came to our home and offered so much advice. We are about to be first time parents and there is so much to know. We leaned about where the car seat should be placed in the car. How to install it. How to buckle the baby in. And with a newborn how to place blankets around the baby for the perfect fit. The peace of mind I have now, is so worth the money.
