Ruby Hand Carwash

Me encanta Ruby’s Car Wash. The guys that wash your car here do a great job, they pay attention to detail and I am always happy with the results. I love my Wrangler and will only trust my keys in the hands of trustable people, like Mario. The car wash is set up so you can play a game of pool or relax on the big, cushy sofas while your Jeep gets scrubbed and polished. If you want a hand wax, you can drop your Jeep off, go for a walk in Horner Park, and drive away happy.

The only reason I gave them two stars is because the staff was nice, other than that, it was a horrible car wash. I had quite a few dirty spots on the car that were missed (even after a wash and dry), fingerprint smudges on my doors, my console wasn’t even touched, and most importantly, they don’t have chamois! Anyone who cares about the paint on their car does NOT use towels to dry their car. Sorry, Ruby, but I won’t be a returning customer.

My boyfriend and I have been coming here for the past year and we have never had a problem. They do such a great job and it shows by the long lines of customers who keep coming back, both in the winter and summer. These men aren’t the type to have «sticky fingers» and as a general rule you should never leave anything valuable in the car anyway. I will always choose to have my car washed here.

I might have given this place a stellar review except their customer service kinda stinks. This was my first visit and when I first pulled in there was a man standing inside so I asked him where I should park my car… instead of answering he practically yelled, Espanol!, at me then walked off. Um, ok. I pulled in farther and the other two men at the far end looked at me like I had two heads. It was very weird and awkward. They did do a very good job cleaning my car and in a short amount of time, but yikes, why so serious guys?
On a side note, I had a piece in my car that had fallen off one of my running boards. It was in my car. After the car wash I looked around to find the piece and it was gone. I’ve tried calling them to see if they might have accidentally thrown it away, but no one ever answers the phone here. There is a sign stating that they are not responsible for missing items in or on your car, so maybe they found the piece and tossed it, thinking it was trash, but even if they did, it’s not their decision what to throw out from my car! This is an expensive and obscure piece to replace. However, I’m sure if I return to inquire about it they will have amnesia.
I will definitely not be returning to this place. There are just way too many hand car washes in Chicago to put up with their subpar customer service.

These guys are great. Very quick and always do a great job, great customer service, tip box so you don’t feel weird on who to give your tip to. Even when they’re completely busy you’re never here more than 10 minutes

Yes, they do a great job washing cars. However, they also have sticky fingers. Today, after an immaculate washing, we noticed my son’s iPod was missing. This was not the first time something like this has happened. After my kindle went missing after a wash I chalked it up to just misplacing it but now I know that this has been too many coincidences. I, of course, wouldn’t normally leave valuables lying around but sometimes you forget and you hope that you could rely on the honesty of others.
I will never go back to Ruby’s and suggest you don’t either if you want to keep what belongs to you.

My car was in much need of cleaning out the summer mess. They did an awesome job and basically detailed for the price of a wash. I would highly recommend this place. A great deal for $ 14!

Didn’t wash my car for more than a month and was filthy from summer rain. These guys knocked it out in 15 minutes looking super clean for a reasonable price.
Water and wax spots were left on my car and there were small puddles of the dashboard shine they use left over. But good enough.

I work close by and decided to get my car washed and the interior cleaned as well. They did a VERY GOOD job, took there time, were very professional and the price was perfect! I am very happy that I tried them because they’re so close to my work, and now I have a place to take my car every friday!!! :):):)

This place is great. They practically detail the car with their number one option, and it’s only $ 24.

I’ve been coming here for years. They always do a great job for only $ 10. I don’t recommend coming early Saturdays though. It’s soooo busy! I once waited 45 min to get my car washed. I was not a happy camper.

FINALLY got my car washed after months of this horrible weather! As usual, Ruby did a great job. I live right around the corner and they are on my way to work so I have used their services well over a dozen times. I have been happy every single time. I find them to be quick, efficient and polite. I always get the Basic $ 10 wash — it gets the job done!

They’re work is sloppy! It seems that they clean pretty good the half of the car the customer is seeing all the time, but the other they barely touch.
The staff is rude and not polite — I went to see how they do the job on the half of the car that was hidden from my view, and those «workers» did not let me see it, until I actually was ready to take the car out.
I just left their premises, and won’t return, ever!
NOT recommended!!! You better find another place to wash your car.

Excellent job they do here, for 10 box you car will come out sparkling clean in and out. Definitely recommended and coming back here.

I often shamefully come in looking like I’m driving Fred Sanford’s car and it comes out looking as close to brand new as possible. Unlike other places these guys work tirelessly to do everything by hand which means hard to reach places aren’t forgotten and details are attended to that might otherwise be overlooked at any other place. There is a bit of a wait (plan for 10 – 20 minutes), but there’s a place to sit and watch (if you’re into that) and overall the inexpensive price (10 bones for the basics!!!) can’t be beat for what you get. I highly recommend.

Incredible and meticulous job! I just watched four men put a ton of effort into cleaning my mom’s car. It looks better than it did coming off of the lot when it was brand new. Highly recommend this place!

$ 10 for a SUV. Clean interior, sparkling exterior, no brake dust on the wheels, no bug carcasses left on the grill, insides of the doors wiped down. $ 10.
I used to pay $ 38 for pretty much the same at the AutoSpa in Maryland. I am very, very happy with $ 10. And so what they don’t offer accouterments like Tire Wet? I carry my own.
They take cash, credit cards, including Amex.

Although this place is right on my route to Target, and I have passed it many times., it was Frank M.‘s review which prompted me to stop. I had been in the habit of taking my baby to Norwood for its bath, but Ruby’s is much closer and $ 3.00 less.
I have to say, it is the best $ 8.00 car wash my car has ever had. It looks as if it’s been polished and waxed as well as washed. The interior is spotless and they even got the winter gunk and salt out of my floor mats. I am very «car queer», so a good wash really makes my day. I went there on a weekday, so it was not at all busy. Norwood usually has more of a wait and sometimes an incredible line around the corner, I don’t do lines on foot nor in my car if I can avoid it. I may just have to go out and buy some fuzzy dice to celebrate. Thanks, new owner!
