I have been living in one of Ray, John and Kathy’s buildings for two years now, and it is by far the best rental experience I have had in the 10 years I have been in Chicago. Since it is a family owned business, they care about their buildings and properties, and the apartments and landscaping reflect that. They build a fair, respectful relationship with their tenants and are genuinely nice people! Bonus — they are really sweet to my dog when on the property or in my unit.
My dog and I have loved living in their building and are sad to leave. If I wasn’t moving out of state, I would resign the lease in a heartbeat! If you can get into one of their units, I highly recommend it!

I have been at an apartment with RJK properties for over a year now. Kathy and Ray are the best landlords I have ever had. They are responsive to requests, thorough, and compassionate. They honestly care about their tenants and their tenants’ experience at their place. «Going above the call of duty» should be their tag line. I would recommend them in a heart beat.

Ray, Kathy and John are the best landlords i’ve had in 20 years of living in Chicago … have rented from them for 7 years now,. very very responsive, even when they are out of state, and great, great people to work with. if all landlords were like them, everyone would be renting :) Can’t say enough good things about them

I just recently moved to Florida. I lived in Chicago in west town at one of RJK Properties apartments for over 4 years. The Krumsee family is top notch to rent from. They always were understanding and helpful with any matters or issues. They are super friendly and will definately look them up when I move back to Chicago. If you want to rent from people that are more like friends or family then I suggest renting from them.

I lived in an RJK property for about 2.5 years. Most responsive landlords I’ve ever had. They take care of their buildings, and when something is wrong, they will not ignore you.
It’s a mutually beneficial, high-​standards sort of relationship between landlord and tenant. I would definitely rent from them again.

RJK is seriously the best property management business. Kathy and Ray are just great. They take great care of their buildings, and are super responsive to their tenants. I lived for 3 years in one of their buildings (and only left because I am getting married!) and would definitely recommend them to anyone!
