Right At Home Pet Service

I cannot say enough about Right at Home! We used the service twice now; once when we were on vacation and once when we did not anticipate being gone and asked them to sneak our cat Kilroy into the (already busy) holiday schedule — they did with no issue. Maria is always on time and ensures we are emailed pictures and a written update after each visit. Their billing and scheduling is now done online and could not be more convenient.

I used Right at Home Pets while I was out of town for the Thanksgiving holiday and had great service. The owner and my walker came to visit before, and asked a lot of questions and took down thorough notes to ensure they knew everything about Willy and what he needed. Throughout my vacation, I got notes and picture updates. They even watered my plants and picked up packages! Great to have this peace of mind and be able to have my dog in his own home while I’m gone.

I have used Right at Home Pet Service for about three years and am very pleased with their services. I live in a condo with persnickety rules, yet I’ve never had a complaint about the RAHPS employees, which says a lot about them considering residents do things ‘wrong’ rather frequently! I have a cat who can be very shy and has separation issues, since I’ve used RAHPS he’s been happy when I return rather than stressed out like he used to be with my former cat sitter.
The employees send me a text every day with a photo of my cat and a brief report. They also leave a detailed report in my apartment. It’s really nice to get a pic of my cat texted to me while I’m away, it helps ease the guilt of leaving him home alone. I’ve never had problems with communication with the agency via phone or email, they are very prompt to return messages and are always professional. Booking pet sitting is very easy and painless, and I’ve never been told they were booked up and would not be able to honor my request. I am completely satisfied with RAHPS, they’re the best!

My boyfriend and I just got back from a 10 day vacation and this was the first time we hired Right At Home Pet Service to stop in and look after our cat Minx while we were away. Christine and Maria, who tag teamed taking care of Minx, were awesome! Jason and I loved getting the daily updates from Christine and Maria that included photos of a very relaxed looking Minx, rolled onto his belly for petting. My cat is super friendly, but also likes lots of attention, and Christine and Maria delivered. Usually after a trip, Minx expresses his displeasure for a few days. This was the longest trip we have taken away from him, and he barely batted an eye! He acted as if we had been gone for a day versus 10. Usually for short trips, we just stock him up with food, water and litter boxes, but I think from now on I will have Right At Home Pet Service stop by for the short trips as well, because Minx very clearly benefited from their service. I definitely recommend Right At Home Pet Service and I will absolutely use them again.

We started using Right At Home a few months ago and could not be happier! I find them to be flexible to our needs and easy to communicate with. I think they do a GREAT job communicating and the daily photo with the walk is the best!

We have used Right at Home Pet Service for almost two years. The service is reliable, compassionate and flexible to our needs. We started with one dog and when we adopted our second, a special needs puppy, they were incredibly open to helping us and loving to our puppy, who needed serious help getting up and down the stairs for a time.
There is always a text with pictures after every walk and a note with more details to come home to. We were on a five walks a week, two dogs per walk schedule so it was imperative to have solid communication, which we did. Our requests were answered promptly and cancelations were no problem. We are sad to be moving out of state and losing such a great partner.
Bonus: When we’ve been locked out of the house, they come and let us in (for a small fee, better than a locksmith)!
PS: Our pup is the one with the hat on ;).

I can’t say enough great things about RAHP. I wouldn’t let anyone else take care of our cats. Christine, Sandra and Erika are fantastic — they really love animals, and it shows. I love the twice-​daily text messages and photos they send. They are the best!

I highly recommend Right At Home Pet Service. They REALLY helped me out when I needed it most. I was recovering from ankle surgery and thus unable to walk my dog. And my husband was being run ragged taking care of me and walking Chester three times a day (I normally walk Chester twice a day). My then current pet service could not accommodate my needs. So I called Right At Home – they understood my situation and immediately jumped in, taking us on as a client and walking Chester every day. And, at a price less than the other pet service. And on that note, I find Right At Home’s prices to be very reasonable. Maria and Stephanie are great with Chester. And Christine is very helpful and understanding in the office. Thank you to all!

Joleen and Sandra from Right at Home are wonderful! They are so great with Tino, and really give me piece of mind now that my schedule is all over the place. I know if I have a last minute request I can count on them to add Tino to their walk schedule. I love getting pic texts from them from their walks! LOVE Right at Home Pets. My schedule is unpredictable, but RAHP is flexible and alway available to give my dog a walk, often at the last minute. Sandra and her crew are wonderful with my dog Lana and she is always happy to see them.

Really outstanding service. Thorough notes every day, along with a texted photo or two of Darcy being a ham. I forgot to buy cat litter and they took the time to get some for her so she would have plenty of litter. They even left me Christmas cookies since I was out of town over the holiday! Truly nice people and very highly recommended.

My dog was suddenly diagnosed with cancer in mid-​April and was in grave condition within a few short days. A close friend of mine suggested we call Lizette «because she would know what to do». She came to my home for a healing session with my pet, just as he was undergoing preliminary testing to determine the type of cancer he has and if it was treatable. I had never done anything like this before and did not really know that this type of service was available for animals, but I was open to the idea. The instant she walked into my door it was clear that she has a very special and loving connection with animals. Lizette was able to put my mind and heart at ease and I cannot thank her enough for coming to be with us that night.
Accordingly, I found out that Lizette is part of Right At Home Pet Service and I chose to hire her for dog walking sessions. I have used two prior companies servicing the area over 4 years living in Chicago and I must say that Right At Home Pets offered *superior* care to my beloved animals. In terms of professionalism, it is very easy to contact and schedule with Lizette and I always feel very comfortable with her in my home.
What makes RAHP stand out from the other services is that I knew Lizette was truly caring for my dogs as she walked them and that level of piece of mind is worth a ton, especially if you are a busy, working person and have an animal with medical needs! She has offered simple suggestions for the best interest of my dogs, which I have followed and they are happier and healthier! Lizette has had no problem giving my little guy his necessary medications, as well as giving him lots of love. I have chosen to treat my dog with conventional veterinary medicine for his leukemia along with sessions with Lizette– as an Integrative Medicine adjunct to his veterinary care over the course of his illness. All I can say is that he has made a remarkable recovery and I highly recommend her for her healing services in addition to her dog walking services!

I have known Sandra for almost seven years. She is terrific as a sitter for my cat (King, a Maine Coon) and parrot (Judy, an African Grey). King requires medication, which Sandra administers with no problem. Additionally, she has picked up the mail, the newspaper and watered plants. I highly recommend her.
Sandra was particularly attentive to my previous cat, Putty, who was old and had some ‘end of life issues’ that generally only an owner would tolerate. She was wonderful when Putty was not her best.

We know our animals are safe and well taken care of with Right at Home. The rates are more than reasonable and the service is top-​notch.
Pet-​sitting and dog-​walking is so much more than feed-​walk-​clean up. It is also about connecting with the animal. Sandra is adored by our dog and two cats. She is also knowledgeable on animals by breed, training techniques and how to manage an animal with medical needs, a huge benefit in our opinion. While our babies are healthy in general, we have gotten some great suggestions on how to better care for our animals.
