I almost hate to share that I found this place. But if you are looking to find your man some thing classic and everlasting… this store is it. My eyes had to stop and take everything in. The stores layout is well done with hidden gems in ever nook and corner of the store. The pricing of the items are fantastic. Coats to die for and Blazers that are well well well made. Clearly Richard has an eye that is extremely tasteful! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this shop for the classic fashion forward wearer!!! I will be back — no doubt! Love this store.

Ralph Lauren and Hackett London had a VINTAGE baby and named him Richard! Located in Chicagoland’s newest neighborhood, The WOW District, RFF is a HIGH END vintage clothing haberdashery. Step back into a time when men dressed! Here you’ll find the very BEST in men’s vintage AND accessories with a smattering of tastefully appointed home décor. And besides Richards uncanny ability to pull your perfect size, RFF also has a patio in back of the shop that some claim is the «portal to another dimension.» Follow his instagram and facebook page to stay abreast of events, book-​signings, parties and such!

This shop is as good as it gets. My brother was looking for a vintage look for a wedding in 2 days. (gulp)I Unilocaled to see what was out there, and I knew from the pictures of Richards shop this was the place. I was right! My brother is a tough, picky, thrifty guy. But as soon as Richard introduced himself I knew we were in the right place. He hand picks all the clothes in the shop and they are gorgeous! And completely reasonably priced! My brother tried on a few things that he actually liked. But Richard could tell my brother wasn’t completely convinced. He was so great to say ready to try on a few more? And boom — he walks out in a navy striped three piece suit that looked like it was made for him! Richard then took the time and enjoyed picking out a tie and corner pocket to match! Then he suggested some shirts colors that would go with the suit and shoes (he didn’t have a large selection at the moment) It was a first rate experience you never find these days! My brother was thrilled with his purchase and his experience! I suggest this shop to anyone. Whether looking for vintage or a modern style! Thanks Richard!

This is the first time I’ve ever bothered to write a Unilocal review, but I was completely blown away by the shopping experience I had at Richard’s this week after being referred there by a friend.
The store itself is gorgeous, and truly a thought-​out and curated experience down to the last detail: fragrant fresh flowers, great music, and handsome decorations/​displays… so many little things that weren’t necessary but that made my time there a treat.
The clothing was, of course, the real star of the show, and most items I looked at ranged from about $ 75 to $ 245; definitely reasonable. Honestly, Richard’s fashion advice alone is worth the cost. I went in a complete rookie and he very patiently answered all of my questions and then some. He was extremely attentive, picking things out for me to look at and explaining why he chose them and how to wear them well. When I left with my pile of loot, he even wrote notes for how to get everything tailored.
Overall, Richard’s just doesn’t seem like the kind of store that exists anymore — but thank God it does! He’s earned another repeat customer for sure.

Probably the place I have ever been fortunate enough to stumble upon accidentally. A few things in the window caught my eye and I couldnt resist a look inside. within 10 seconds I knew I had found my new favorite store. This store is packed with all things stately, gentlemanly, and handsome. Any man who likes to decorate his home or his person with classy vintage apparel will find himself at home here. And unlike many specialty stores, everything is priced between what is reasonable and what is an absolute bargain. Richard is very friendly, and will gladly give you the history behind anything in the store. He also helped me load the trunk I purchased into the car.
I write this review almost reluctantly, as part of me wants to keep knowledge of this store to myself as to avoid unwanted competition for the gems which im sure will show up and be sold. But I could never keep quiet about such a place in good conscious. if ever there was a business i wanted to be successful, this one is it, and I hope to be a customer for the foreseeable future.

Chicago’s go to spot for the stylishly conscious gentleman! With a large cache of impeccable wares (suits, pants, shoes, ties, tie clips, hats, etc.) one would find themselves very hard pressed to not exit looking/​feeling like a million bucks (with minimal damage to the wallet to boot!). Get the bespoke experience without the price! Richard is also a delight and has quite the keen eye for fashion; he can whip any slovenly rascal into a fetching chap!

I LOVE this place! I had made it a point to stop by his booth any time he was hocking his wares at the Vintage Garage in uptown. (Third Sunday of every month throughout the summer!) I’m not a crazy stylish guy at all, but I love vintage things… and for whatever reason, vintage clothes fit me better. And Richard is unbelievable at sizing up a person and pulling just the right things off the rack. Again, I’m so glad he has a shop now.

Richard is The Man when it comes to men’s vintage fashions and accessories. He’s extremely knowledgeable about men’s fashion through the decades and will help you put together a look that’s classy and uniquely your own. His shop is a hidden gem in an unexpected neighborhood. Easy street parking and accessible by CTA bus.

Richard has impeccable taste and style. There is a vast selection of high end vintage menswear. Pristine, clean shop. Owner is gracious and can advise on what best fits body type, etc. A MUST for the well-​dressed man looking for vintage at excellent prices.
