My husband and i stayed here over the weekend for a conference/pleasure trip. The hotel is very nice and located in Chicago’s Financial District. This in NOT the River North location. This is the LaSalle Street Location. FYI, I got this room at 125 per night for a promotion Marriott had to spend a «winter weekend» in Chicago. The room was very clean, and the rooms all have a kitchenette and sofa which was very nice. Bathroom was very very spacious. My only issue was that the glass shower only spanned half the length of the shower so that water got onto the floor. The bed was very comfortable and almost indulgent. Nice big flatscreen TV too that swivels between the couch and the bed. We stayed on the 18th floor so it was very quiet. The free breakfast buffett was very good and feature 4 waffle makers and french toast and plethora of other tasty items. The service was good, the eating area was very spacious and kept clean. No dirty tables and the food was kept stocked. The downtairs bar has a happy hour during the week and a restaurant. The employees were very pleasant and professional. Thanks to Damonte for welcoming us on January 29th around 3pm. Your manager should give you a raise. I would certainly stay here again.

I don’t usually stay at hotels twice but I might make an exception for this one. I booked a room for two nights. Not only was the online booking through their website easy, it was fast. Once I got to the hotel I was greeted at the door and taken to the second floor to check in which again was easy and fast. I decided to have a drink and eat at the bar the first night and I am glad I did. The half chicken was great and mojito was perfectly made as well. The room was clean and warm! I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast each morning which says a lot because I’m not a fan of buffet food. I got there first thing so the food was freshly served. The staff is very friendly and accommodating in every way. The location is perfect, I was able to walk all over the city without ever needing a cab or an über. The Residence Inn nailed it! Great job everyone. Thank you.

As far as Residence Inns go, this isn’t your typical hotel. From the beginning— if you drive, there’s only valet parking in front or you need to find a garage to park. Parking is $ 62 per day/night. Getting your car back will take some time so text the ticket number 10 minutes ahead. When you arrive, you’re on the 1st floor, but check in is on the 2nd floor. This is one of the only Marriott properties I know to have a 13th floor. The hotel is part of an American Historic collection. The second floor is where the bar & restaurant are located. Most Residence Inns have an evening reception with food/snacks and free wine/beer/soft drinks. This one does not. It does have a full service bar and very nice restaurant. In the morning, there is an included full breakfast which is one of the best I’d seen at a Residence Inn. The rooms are very modern with a large TV, walk-in shower, kitchen, work area, etc. The fitness center is located on the B1 level which is below the street level. Much nicer fitness center than expected with a few machines, free weights, cycles, ellipticals and treadmills. This hotel is also set up to handle conferences with several large rooms.

I stayed one night at this beautiful hotel and left my coat in the hotel room and didn’t realize it until after I checked out and into another Marriott Hotel a few blocks away. I called as soon as I realized that I left the coat and Tommy Van, the general manager, personally saw to its return. I could not have asked for better customer service from Mr. Van or Tonya from the housekeeping staff.
