3.5 stars! Ordered a steak through Eat24, and the food came sooner than stated. Everything was nicely packaged. They even gave me a free soda, which was an unexpected and pleasant surprise. The delivery guy was very nice. The food was pretty good. For $ 20, I got a giant rib eye steak w/mushroom gravy, mixed vegetables, and yummy mashed potatoes. There’s even enough for lunch and dinner tomorrow. I’ll definitely order from here again. Seems like they have a pretty decent menu and reasonable prices.

This place has gotten a lot better. I may be biased because it’s so close and so affordable. They’ve changed to a more southwestern-y vibe, and the food is really good for the price. Ask for the Chipotle ranch!

We have been seeing the sign in the window about Gumbo for the last few months. Tonight, we decided to see check it out. We walked in and were the only people in there. We asked about the gumbo… yeah, not available and they said it not available for a while. Had the Combo platter — it’ was really good with really tender chicken and ribs were falling off the bone. The Mac & Cheese was lacking — I think it was packaged cheese tossed with some pasta that they had on hand. They need to step up their game. We won’t be going back anytime soom.

I ordered for delivery and at the slated delivery time(45 minutes), I received a call from Eat24 stating that my order was cancelled. It was a total inconvenience. They need to get their act together. I’m disappointed and will not order again as a result.

I live just down the street but had never been here before. Just had lunch. I’m not sure he was the owner or a manager, but the guy there was really friendly & brought us some free homemade chips & chipotle sauce. I had the black bean burger & side salad. Presentation of the food was very precise. Never seen such care on putting a burger on a plate. Food was solid. The service was a little slow but we were not in a rush & the mood was very relaxed. I will say that the décor & name don’t really match the menu. I thought it was more of a pub, but it’s also kind of a Mexican or Spanish restaurant. The decorations inside are very Japanese. A little all over the place. I think they need something to make people come back & distinguish themselves from other restaurants. Especially in Logan Square.

I live down the street from this place and didn’t even notice the name change. the Two Lions? Anyways, I ordered bbq wings & hot wings. One bite out of the Hot wings and they tasted like up chuck. No thank you. Didn’t even want to finish the rest.

Burgers are great. Fries are ok. The décor is very confusing… There is western décor as well Chinese. It’s BYOB.

I ordered delivery through Grubhub and it was disappointing. The fish morsels, despite having a terrible name, were pretty good but the order was tiny for $ 9. Chips were tasty too although unsalted and served with nothing. Do not order the Ploughman’s lunch salad: sounds great on the menu but I received a few bites of green salad with a couple little cucumber pieces and a cherry tomato with some waxy cheese slices and a dry slider bun. Oh, and an entire mealy apple, chopped up including core and seeds. Classy. The«house dressing» is remarkably abrasive, it appears to be made from red wine vinegar with some more red wine vinegar(possibly also paint thinner). I’ve been to the one on Lincoln a few times and I thought the food was great. This other location is subpar. 2 stars because it was overpriced and poor quality but mostly edible and delivery was prompt and polite.

My car died on a Thursday. It died again on a Friday, so by Saturday it was time to change the battery before I started paying über to drive me to work. Drove allllll the way from Pilsen to go to Advance Auto, but the guy I needed wasn’t due back for 40 mins. What’s a gal to do? Eat. Oh boy did I eat. It’s a good thing we nixed the idea of going to Jalapeño Grill next door, because despite being the only customers in Red Door Grill, it took a little over 40 minutes to order, eat and pay with most of that time spent waiting. Time is clearly of no essence here. Someone summed up Red Door nicely when they said«it’s a pub feel with no bar» and I heard they’re working on getting their license, but the way this place is set up, I don’t know if it would be a spot I’d really want to kick back and relax and watch some sports. The food wasn’t bad. For the price and the portion, I’d definitely be back for a to-go order if I still lived in the neighborhood. The Red Lion burger needed more seasoning, but with the toppings that were on it, the lack of flavor in the actual patty was masked. The BLT needed something, like an avocado. The roll was too much for its contents. The onion rings were different, but I liked them. The batter was really light and flakey, which meant they didn’t feel super greasy. The overall feel of the place was weird. Some high top tables, some low top tables and a restaurant that felt very bare bones. That stretch of Armitage can be tough to survive on, and I’d be surprised if Red Lion makes it past a couple years.

Meandering about with some time to kill and toting my appetite, rolled up in this b on a late Saturday afternoon, oblivious to what kind of food they served. I just knew I didn’t walk to walk any further since it was cold, so we rolled the dice. First impression of this place was young & lifeless. Just how Bill Cosby likes it. That was in poor taste. But what’s in good taste was the BLT I ordered. Wasn’t on some boring toasted white bread, but a big roll with a generous amount of bacon. I will say that adding mayo saved it from being too dry, but good nonetheless. Our server seemed snobby, but not blatantly rude or anything. For having no customers, food inexplicably seemed to take a great deal of time. Luckily the onion rings held us over. Not a bad place, but not spectacular. Hopefully they survive, but given how dead they were on a Saturday, I’d be worried.

Great food, great menu, and great service! They are BYOB but no worries, there is a Foodsmart across the street that has a full selection of alcohol. If you like mix drinks, they have really good fruity drinks that you can spike. The food has a lot of traditional Irish pub type food plus the basic burgers and fries and appetizers. They are usually slow because people haven’t caught on yet to this new restaurant in town. This might be a good thing if you like quick service, quick food, and a calm atmosphere.

Well, against other reviews, i have to say i love the atmosphere at Red Lion Grill. It is BYOB, meets Burger joint, meets sports bar. I grabbed a sixer and stroled in here on my way home from work. Burger was fantastic and i enjoyed my sixer while watching the first half of Thursday Night Football along with some college ball. They had both displayed on several large screens. . The place opens at noon, so the thought of getting a crew and coming here for a strong early meal with a few man sodas sounds pretty enticing. Either way, i will definitely visit here again after work. The food was good and the service was excellent. Is it perfect, no. Time for the bad. Its unique which i will take anyday. I try to visit several places and i feel like year to year every place grabs the latest and greatest trend. Some bad parts about here include the cost. The food is good but slightly on thei higher cost side. I’m not sure what to make of the atmosphere. You have a knight outside and ketch up and mustard bottles on every table. Is it classy or is it a burger joint? In conclusion, i think this place has the potential to be the ultimate man cave. It has a unique atmosphere that screems game day. A byob with a diverse liquor store across the street. I hope this place keeps having open tables and sticks around for the long haul.

Apparently this establishment is unaware that there are two other Chicago establishments that have Red Lion in their name. The Red Lion Pub and the Red Lion Lincoln Square.

It’s not bad, it’s not remarkable. I want to love this place because it’s close by, walking distance, etc. However, they don’t seem to really have it all together. My food was pretty decent. My wife wasn’t too thrilled with hers, but she’s also not a big fan of this style of food. Thing is, the sign outside is gaudy(and partially covered because they goofed up not realizing they were using an already-taken name!) and makes the place seem cheap. The décor is kind of meh, but that’s not something I generally care much about when going to get some tasty eats. I want this place to fix a few things up and succeed because the neighborhood could use more variety in terms of food etc. It has potential, but they don’t seem to be moving in the right direction based on their few months of being open so far.

Great service and great food. Our server was very helpful and nice. She gave us a bucket of ice for the wine and vodka we brought in with us. We had the fish and chips and onion rings. The fish was tasty and cooked perfectly. Onion rings were pretty darn good. We went there on a weeknight so I couldn’t try the weekend special, I will be going back just to try that!

Seriously unremarkable. It’s basic bar food but. without the bar? Terrible atmosphere: feels like you’re in a cafeteria. The burger was charred and below average tasting(and I love a good burger) With so many good places to eat, I don’t know why anyone would choose to go here. Skip it.

They just opened last Saturday. At the moment they are B.Y.O.B. since Foodsmart is right across the street this shouldn’t be a problem. The outdoor patio isn’t open yet, but the front window are wide open so almost like eating outside. This is hearty Pub food with decent prices. They do dine-in, carryout and delivery. I had a hamburger(they were excellent at meeting all of my dietary restrictions) with curly fries, very good! My friend had the Weekend Special Beef Guinness which she said was very good. Another friend had the fish and chips, they were pronounced excellent«the fish was just perfection». We shared onion rings. They were good but the coating was just a little bland, maybe need a little salt. Décor is plain, the service was very good, friendly and prompt. All in all I am delighted with this addition to my neighborhood and will be going back and doing carryout often.
