Raymond Floors

I have used Raymond for over 15 years– he is awesome.
His employees are punctual and considerate– very hard working. I have referred
Raymond to my real estate clients, colleagues and family. He is very knowledgable about the products he uses and his wood selections. He just finished my floors in my home– they are truly stunning. Really a top notch job– thanks Raymond!

He did what he said he would, when he said he would. Floors look great.

Raymond was on time to the estimate appointment. I called back to schedule and he said he would call back the next morning and that was the last I heard from him. I left several messages and no calls back. I called because a friend had a great flooring experience, but this guy is bad business. I guess he is too busy to accept any new business. Don’t waste your time.

I’m always surprised to read crummy reviews after I’ve had an outstanding experience from a service provider. And outstanding pretty much sums up the work that Raymond and his team did replacing a portion of my vintage wood floors. They were prompt, accommodating, cleaned up everything perfectly, and there’s no way you can tell where the new floor ends and the old one starts. I’ve been recommending them to everyone I know who has wood floors… or wants them. They made a less than fun experience pretty easy.

Ray’s Hardwood Flooring was the company that put the original floors into our condo 5 years ago; knowing this, I thought I’d use him to replace a few cracked boards. I’m very disappointed that he failed to deliver… anything.
While he did come out to give me an estimate, that was the last I saw of him. I called him the following day to set up an appointment and I got a disconnected message from his phone; odd. The next day I tried again and actually got the voicemail so I left a message. It was two weeks until he returned my call. Since he apologized and set up an immediate appointment for the following Monday I agreed. Well, he said he was going to show up between 8 and 10… At 9:30 I called to make sure he was still coming, no answer. Here it is an hour and a half later and still no Ray and no return call.
The real bummer is for him; there are 4 other units in the building that are looking to get boards replaced and floors done. Oh well, his loss. As for me, I’ll just go with another company.

Before moving into my condo, I had Raymond refinish my floors to get rid of the traffic patterns left by the various dogs that lived here before me. He and his team did an AWESOME job, it looked like new.
Sadly, a leaky radiator buckled a portion of my living room floor just a few weeks ago, and since Raymond did such a great job before, I called him again. I must say, it looks perfect! I am so impressed, he relaid the panels in a portion of the floor and finished it, and I honestly cannot tell the difference from the rest of the floor.
I highly recommend Raymond Flooring — he is so nice to work with and does a consistently great job. Hooray :-)

Raymond was a referral from a friend who was happy with his work. While I think he did a great job refinishing my floors, he was the classic example of the tradesman who disappears once he cashes your check. His team got stain on my doors that I thought was fair for him to do what he could to fix. He said it would be no problem, a little paint thinner, etc. But it took a month for him to return my emails/​voicemails and then he blew off 2 appointments. Not worth the hassle.
