Ravenswood Community Orchestra

I’ve seen a couple of their concerts, and they are quite enjoyable.

You’ll find the following people associated with The Ravenswood Community Orchestra:
1. Musicians who love to play classical music. Every member of this wonderful group volunteers their time for a weekly 2-​hour rehearsal and three concerts per year. These musicians represent all skill levels and come from every background imaginable– but they all love what they do and really appreciate the time given to them by the two wonderful conductors.
2. People who love classical music, free stuff, a good concert and a wonderful way to spend an afternoon.
3. People who want access to classical music for more experience. Want to teach your kid a little more about music but don’t want to pay a steep price for a ticket to the Symphony center? Bring him to a free concert– better yet, bring him to the Halloween concert where the musicians are dressed in costume and playing music to go along with the holiday.
Concerts are free (though a small donation helps with future music purchases and maintaining a practice and performance space), so come out and support your neighbors and the arts!

BRAVO! I am a member of this fine group of musicians and boy do I love it! This is a collection of a great group of people who simply love music– and even moreso– we love to entertain.
We represent many different ages, backgrounds, and talent levels. We rehearse every Monday night for 2 hours and put on performances throughout the year. It’s a great part of the local community and performances are budget friendly for our audience.
The most fun concert is the Halloween concert as musicians show up in costumes and our audience is encouraged to join in on the spooky fun!
