History

Established in 1976.

Since 1976, Quicksilver has been in the forefront of changes in corporate communication. Originally providing identification graphics for a local television station, the company was able to apply the same creativity for business presentations for Quaker Oats, CBS, International Harvester, and other corporate clients.

In the 1980s and 1990s, Quicksilver expanded into corporate meetings, providing a range of services from event planning to video production to print design.

In the 90’s we also made the move into animation and digital media, including website design and development, Flash and interactive media.

In the past decade we added capabilities in application development. For example, Quick​Flex​.NET is a web content management system created for small and mid-​size organizations. We also began providing marketing solutions based on organic search and social media.

Meet the Business Owner

Diane M.

Business Owner

Armed with a degree in Fine and Applied Arts from the University of Illinois, and experience as a designer, Diane founded Quicksilver Associates in 1976. She remains a hands-​on owner.

In addition to managing the company, she has been active in, and has been recognized by, outside organizations. For example, she has serviced on the Board of Directors of the Make-​A-​Wish Foundation of America. In 2002 she was recognized as the Illinois State Small Business Person of the Year by the SBA.
