Pro Done Remodeling

We have a very similar experience to Jeff L. We were recommended to Pro Done /​Abel’s by Lee Lumber. Abel was prompt and courteous when he stopped by and seemed very detail oriented. He initially followed up with me to get all of the final details (we had a number of smaller jobs being quoted). However, after providing the information, we were unable to get a follow-​up. We tried a number of calls and e-​mails. We received 1 response that they had gotten busy due to the weather and that the estimates were forthcoming but we never received another response.
He promised an estimate by email the next morning. That was nearly 3 weeks ago now. I’ve called a number of times (always an answering machine) and emailed twice to ask if they still wanted the work, but we haven’t heard back.
Like Jeff, we understand if the job is too small (though we have larger plans down the line) or you are too busy but just let us know so we aren’t waiting around. It’s disappointing as Abel appeared very meticulous which is what we’re looking for in a contractor.

It’s fine if the job is too small or you are too busy but just let us know so we aren’t waiting around. It’s a shame as we would have gladly given them the work based on Lee Lumber’s recommendation. I wouldn’t waste your time trying to chase them down. Check the filtered reviews below.

We first met Abel through our interior decorator four years ago. Since then we have used him to complete two gut rehabs — our bathroom and most recently our kitchen. He has also redone our basement. What is unique about Abel is not only his attention to detail but his design ability. He is honest and provides suggestions that are always spot on. We have already referred two of our friends to him. Both had their bathrooms redone by him and were very pleased with the results. He is a joy to work with and we will continue to use him for future projects.

When it comes to contractors, you really never know what you’re going to get. Yet when you work with Pro Done, you get exactly what you expect –great service, amazing attention to detail and honesty. We’ve done 4 projects with Abel and he has never let us down. Our most recent job was a complete basement rehab. They did a great job. Abel’s crew was extremely friendly and respectful. They worked Monday through Saturday! Pro Done isn’t the least expensive nor the most yet their work is quality. I HIGHLY recommend them. We’ll be using him again next summer for our deck.

We have done multiple projects with Pro Done Remodeling, ranging from small handyman jobs, to kitchen and bathroom renovations, to a seven-​month gut rehab of a 19^th century Lincoln Park row home, and we have been completely thrilled. Abel’s attention to detail is exceptional! He’s also extremely patient (showing us tons of samples) and is good at explaining things in clear terms that even a renovation novice can understand. We came to him with vague requests or brought him pictures from magazines, and he always made it turn out exactly how we wanted. His crew is absolutely wonderful! They always leave the place very neat and clean at the end of the day, and we trust them completely. We have no problem leaving them alone in the house (they’re not like the Comcast guys you have to supervise). We’ve referred Abel to dozens of people and they are always pleased with his professionalism. Sometimes he takes a while to complete a bid, but his bids are always very very detailed. We’ve found that there are lots of other contractors who either won’t return your calls or will meet with you and never send you a bid! Also, Abel is extremely affordable — we always collect at least three bids before starting any project, and he’s always either the lowest or he’s willing to match other comparable bids. We are renovation hounds, so when we start the next project, you can bet Abel will be the one we’ll call.
