This is a great place to stop in for a pre-dinner beverage while waiting for your table at Café El Tapatio! I went and put our name in for dinner and then my friend and I went across the street for a liquid appetizer. I believe the host at El Tapatio will even go over to Pour to find you when your table is ready if you request it. I normally like whiskey drinks, particularly Manhattans. On Friday, Manhattans were on special. SCORE. It was made pretty well, not too many shakes so it still had its whiskey bite. Service was quick and friendly. I’ll definitely be back in the summer to check out the patio.

Strike 1: After the waitress forgot about us for 20 minutes, the bartender finally stepped in and took our order. Strike 2: The kegs were frozen. All of them. Strike 3: The burger was well done(ordered medium) and came without the lettuce, tomato and onion touted on the menu. The chicken sandwich was oddly greasy and hard to eat. We love to support the neighborhood but will be spending our $ elsewhere.

This is a nice spot, very update and clean. I came with a group of friends on a weekday. Besides my group of Five there were only two other people in there. Which surprised me because it was nice spot. The bartender was friendly as well. Anybody that offers me free shots. they are A-OK in my book. I will visit again… maybe on a Friday or Saturday. I would rate it higher if it had a better crowd(meaning more people not a better quality).

I received a recommendation to visit Pour from a colleague and decided to check it out. It’s relatively new, but always buzzing with excitement. I love the food, the reasonably priced drinks, and the sports bar feel. Their outdoor patio is amazing when dining in with friends or just catching some air outside. I always come early in the week due to the fact that I work in the industry and normally work over the weekends, but each time– I have had a great experience. The bartender, MIKE R — the guy with the with cool-a** tattoos on his arms — is very knowledgeable and personable with many of the guests. Upon sitting down at the bar, you feel right at home. The music selections played are not over the top, but suits just about anyone’s taste… including mine. I found myself pulling out my iPhone, from time to time, to SHAZAM some of the ones I wanted to later download. People come in regularly and are instantly greeted, no matter how busy they may be. That’s definitely a plus and something I took note. I will definitely continue to take the $ 6 taxi ride — from home — to return in the near near future; alone, with close friends or colleagues. I recommend Pour as a favorite nightlife and up and coming spot for those looking for something new; something not as congested as boystown and not as rugged as wrigleyville. If you plan to stop in, be sure to ask for Mike; he’s the best bartender in my opinion.

Hey-O! There’s a new watering hole in the neighborhood and she’s real purdy, yo. One thing you must know, is the ticket to happiness here is found in the great outdoors. Oh yes, Pour Drinks & Eats nails outdoor beer garden ambiance without question. Rolled in here on a beautiful Sunday evening looking to chase that feel good burn a successful Sunday Funday can give a gal. Had heard how beautiful, spacious and secluded Pour’s patio space was and decided this was the opportune time to find out for myself. Impressive it certainly was! We were greeted by cozy wicker seating, sexy lighting, ivy clad walls, candlelight and glorious flora to compliment our absolutely glorious night. Perfection embodied in something so simple as ditching the ubiquitously mismatched plastic yard chairs and tuning the mood to ‘fabulous.‘ On the menu is gussied up bar fare in the form of manchego-stuffed dates with pancetta, yellowfin tacos and fontina stuffed grilled cheese sammies. All quite enticing, however, I had just come from a very food-centric event and this evening at Pour was strictly Mission: Cocktails. And cocktails we did! Loved their light ‘n fresh options but simply adored the Pineapple Express with Cava, Pineapple Juice, Ginger Ale and Bacardi Dragonberi. Sparkly, refreshing, summer idyllic, I could drink these all night(and rightfully so, may have). Pour also finds themselves with much praise for their Vodka-spiked Strawberry Basil Lemonade which — let’s be honest here — just sounds like potion for what ails you as Summer draws to a close. Can Pour maintain this level of sexy substance once the patio has officially ceased to be a seasonal option and it possibly reverts into ‘just another Chicago sports bar?’ The magic eight ball may say outlook not so good, but my booze barometer thinks it is decidedly so. Pour is on the map. Welcome to the RV!

Last night I made a quick pit stop at Pour with some of my lovely lady friends to cap off our impromptu Sunday Funday. Upon first glance, Pour looked like it was closed but they just had the lights turned reaaal low. Mood lighting! We snagged some seats on the big backyard patio and ordered our drinkies. I ordered the strawberry basil lemonade, which was refreshing on a warm summer night. Sadly, we just had the one drink and were on our way to the next destination, but I will be back to try more Pour soon!

What a great find on the hubbub of Ashland! Pour was quite the surprise on the night I stopped in, as their beer garden out back was spacious, inviting and shut off from the world around it. They have quite the menu in terms of specialty drinks(try the strawberry basil lemonade) or food. On this night– it was all about bar basics for me– a cold beer and a quesadilla. Both were good and came out quickly. The crowd was also pretty good although keep in mind that this was a Tuesday night and not a weekend. We all know how quickly that can change in this«neck of the woods»! Our server was great! We were in a largish group and she broke out everyone’s bill separately and kept tabs on it all throughout the night. I love when they do that so that there are no questions at the end of the night. And even if you have to sit inside during inclement weather, the casual décor and laid back feeling permeates the indoors as well. The only downside? They allow smoking on their patio and as the night went on and the number of smokers increased, it was a bit hard to enjoy myself with the smoke blowing our way. Glad some fellow Unilocalers turned me on to Pour. Now I just need to get back to get some more of that amazing lemonade!

We wanted to try something new, something close by and something with outdoor dining/drinking. Pour fits each of those categories but doesn’t go beyond that. We came here on a Friday around 6:30. There was absolutely no one inside the bar and only a few tables were occupied outside. I was lured in by «beer garden» but immediately disappointed when we entered and saw there was not actually a working bar outside. No huge deal, a busboy came quickly and gave us water and menus. Then our server came and announced that the top three beers(all summery) on the menu were not available. Of course we both our sights on two from that selection(disappointment #2). That brought our choices down to about four drafts, I believe. I settled on an IPA and my husband got a Great Lakes. Big disappointment #3-our beers arrived well below the standard level a draft beer should be served. I understand distance for head is required to release a beer’s fragrance and taste but there was no head. Our beers were flat and at least 2 inches below the top of the glass. Sorry, but I expected much more from a place called«Pour.» Eventually our meals arrived. I had a portabella sandwich and my husband had a burger. He really liked his burger. My sandwich was average-nothing extraordinary but I’d recommend it. The server messed up my side but when I brought it to her attention, she fixed it-no biggie. Things are looking alright so we decide on another round of beer and go with 312 this time because it’s on special. Never mind they took forever to arrive but again there’s at least 2 inches missing! I’m guessing someone was sipping my beer at the bar considering both the delay and the absence of beer. Well whatever. We finish our beer, get our bill and head to the next bar. I go back and forth between 1 – 2 stars. The food was decent, but slow, and probably deserves 3 stars. However, I can’t get beyond the fact the place is called POUR but didn’t have many draft choices and they truly sucked at pouring. I’ll go with 2 stars because the place wasn’t awful, just not a place I’ll go back to.

Thanks to a recent Beer Garden gathering, I was made privy to the greatness of Pour. I likely never would have known about this place and to be honest, might have even avoided it due to its proximity to Wrigleyville. I went again Saturday night. I was craving the Strawberry Basil Lemonade I had the first time and the food people ordered at Beer Garden was reported to be good, so it was a no-brainer to go there. We got there about 7:30 and unfortunately my fears about Pour being Wrigleyville-adjacent(and thus might have d-bag overflow) were realized. We snagged a table on the patio and there was a group of overly-intoxicated bros(in their finest cargo shorts and flip-flop ensembles, natch) sitting across the way. From the time we got there, one Dude in particular was just out of line: swearing, being rude, and in general acting like an ass who thought the world revolved around him. We did our best to ignore him and ordered drinks while we decided what we wanted to eat. We decided to just go with some appetizers and went with the fried buffalo mozzarella, frites and chicken quesadillas. Then it happened. The Dude hocked up a loogie and spit on the ground. We couldn’t believe our ears. Seriously, who does that? Another round followed — this time I switched to a Berry Caipiroska, a perfect summertime drink. Then«it» happened again. Just as our food arrived. I had all but lost my appetite when the manager came out on the patio and started asking people how everything was. He got to our table and I told him about Mr. Classy and his spitting shenanigans and how I was about to leave in disgust. To his credit, the manager confronted the Dude and he got his ass thrown out with very little drama. As the Dude was leaving, he couldn’t resist one final act of asshattery and yelled through the fence: «I just spent $ 200 in this place and I get thrown out for spitting?! WTF?!» Sure, Dude. Following this logic, maybe if you spend $ 400, this should entitle you to take a crap on the patio? Anyway, we forgot all about this little unpleasantry and concentrated on the delicious food. The frites were fab; nice and thin and crispy and served with a spicy chipotle dipping sauce and a garlic aioli. The quesadillas were really good too, and a very generous portion with a nice guacamole garnish. The mozzarella was the real winner though — round slices of fresh mozzarella lightly breaded and served with a marinara sauce. Perfect for soaking up the boozy summer cocktails. Service was friendly too. I felt bad for our server having to deal with the Dude, but she took it in stride. And kudos to the manager for stepping in and handling it professionally, with minimal disruption to the rest of the patrons. I really like Pour and will definitely go back. I may just have to make sure it’s not on a Cubs game day though. No sense tempting fate twice.

Having a great place to kick back and relax with friends will always be a plus and Pour does with a pretty nice outdoor patio. They also throw in awesome drink concoctions and good food as well. — — — - Favorite drink was the Strawberry Basil Lemonade $ 9 bucks but a good size drink and tastes pretty good Shrimp quesadillas & Italian Style Frites Tasty apps that were half off on my Thursday visit Thanks to Sophie, a very nice waitress that did a good job handling a decent size group of Unilocalers — — —- I’m quite happy to have met up with an awesome group of Unilocalers and be introduced to a very nice neighborhood joint. I’ll be back for sure and definitely when I can get seated outside when the weather is nice.

went back on a Thurs eve with a bunch of Unilocalers and still really liked the place. The two bartenders were very friendly and made a good capiroska. Sophie, our patio watress, was very good and on the ball as well. Pour some sugar on me, this place is sweet.

POUR took me by surprise! I don’t get around this area much but now I know about this totally awesome bar I will! It’s a great place to chill with SOME friends. It has one of the best patio’s I’ve seen around, very spacious and comfy seats. The inside doesn’t seem all that bad either. Pour has some of the best cocktails too! They might be full of SUGAR but who doesn’t need a little sweet. Go for the Strawberry Basil Lemonade, it may be $ 9 but it’s good! I saw some people munching ON some snacks from the menu which actually looked a step over regular bar food and for someone like ME that scores major points. Of course us Unilocalers like to be in the heat but it was hot out! All you would hear around is I’M HOT and STICKY. Thank god our waitress was SWEET, she those drinks out so fast and with a smile. It cooled me of FROMMYHEADTOMYFEETYEAH. Thanks to the rockin Vanessa M. for setting up a great beer garden! You’re singing it now aren’t you!!!

I was hoping for a little more from this place! Tried the strawberry basil lemonade-it sounded like it would be delish and it’s supposedly one of their signatures, but mine tasted all tonicy. Really couldn’t taste the strawberry or basil. The beer selection was pretty good, but, uhhhhh, why were they out of this, that and the other? I mean really, they were out of sooooo many different beers, it was a little ridiculous. Unfortunatly, our waitress was terrible. We had a party of 8, and she didn’t bother to write anything down. Perhaps that’s why when the 8th person arrived(about a half hour late) she managed to get her food before 2 of the people that had been there since the beginning. To make it worse… one of those people had a salad… you can’t say there were problems in the kitchen when it comes to a salad. Most of us had to order our drinks/beers 2x, because our waitress forgot them. They DID however, take said 2 meals off of the bill. But honestly, maybe this place would make more money if the waitresses remembered to write down what people order. Then they wouldn’t have to comp so much food. Then maybe they could buy more beer to have on hand. Ok, since I am giving it more than 1 star, I will say that it looked very nice, the atmosphere was pretty chill, and the bathrooms were really clean. But one more suggestion… add some more lights to the outside patio, because when it got dark, the little fake candles on the table just didn’t cut it. Nothing wrong with low light, hey I look better in it too, but it was a tad too dark.

i like what you’ve done with the place… chill beer garden made for a chill night of conversation and drinks with friends. the comfy couches on a warm night made it hard to stay awake :) a few hiccups — they were out of a ton of beer selections and the wine selection was atrocious(not judging by labels but by taste). kinda strange to *start* a holiday weekend with low supply… attentive service and easy-going crowd. indoors was a bit more hopping with a deejay hidden behind a faux-frame on the wall.

I may just shine a few or so accolades on this one. We had the perfect impromptu beer garden on Saturday night. Aurore was correct — it was a bit of an S.O.S. on FB, which made it an all the more perfect summer night.(You never know who may show up, but they’re all the right people anyway.) It being around 6pm, I was a bit surprised that save for the beginnings of our group, there was no one in the patio and maybe 6 people in the bar. It was perfect for us! Our server, Katie, did an excellent job keeping us maintained in drinks and eats(ha!) throughout the night. She continually checked up on us and even made it easy for us to split tabs as people came and left the bar. The food and drinks are inexpensively priced, so much so that I was off in guessing my tab by $ 20 less than what I thought. Even their signature cocktails were $ 9, and most came in pint glasses.(I thoroughly enjoyed the Strawberry Basil Lemonade.) You know how all you want to do is enjoy a warm summer evening with friends and some drinks and not want to leave for the«next spot»? This bar is perfect for all of the above. Case in point, Unilocalers staying at Pour for 4 – 5 hours. When was the last time that happened?

Saturday night. Agenda: nada. S.O.S. sent on FB the day before. The plan: meet at Pour. 6pm. First ones to arrive. The place is empty, including the awesome patio. The choice is a no-brainer: the wicker chairs, couches and tables AND their comfortable red cushions are all ours. OURS. Time to chill. Blue sky, 80s temperature. Light breeze. One glance at the drink menu, and all of a sudden things get more complicated; every single one of them sounds awesome, summery and delicious. So why not just going down the menu??? It’s Saturday night, everything is allowed. (including wearing very tight white pants if you still fancy them 30 years later. I opted instead for a red dress with black lacy details, but it’s a matter of choice and I wouldn’t judge). The evening summary: — Berry Capiroskas x 2(perfect drink!!!) — Strawberry Basil Lemonade x 1(good but a tad too sweet) — Mojito x 1 — Hoeggarden x 2 — 7 – 8 glasses of water — pancetta dates x 2 — frites ‘house style’(shared) — frites ‘Italian style’(shared) — chicken nachos(one tortilla) — fish tacos(1 taco) — 6 hours of patio — the most awesome rock’n’roll waitress I have had in a long time, the wonderful Katie, hugs to you my dear! — a very reasonable tab: $ 9 for top cocktails?!? Yes please!!! Left at midnight(I have a Cinderella syndrome). Patio filled, stars twinkling, vuvuzelas on the loud side. Mission accomplished.

So, I had to make up for the attempted murder of my co-worker. Promising that, when in my element of choosing neighborhood spots I have few equals, he gave me another chance. I made good on that chance by bringing him to Pour Drinks & Eats. The name is a little awkward but the bar is all awesome. This is a sports bar Roscoe Village-style, meaning: there are great drafts on tap, pub food with a slight upscale twist, sports on the tv, a patio in back… and Sex & The City-style cocktails available on the menu. If I were a braver man I would have been all over those martinis. Thankfully, the beer menu is pretty choice and our waitress was even more choice. Fun, cute, sassy and full of beer knowledge, she knew her sh! t and guided us to brilliant booze benefits throughout the evening. The food’s pretty awesome too. We started with chicken nachos — black beans, guac, cheese, jalapenos… the works. These were some healthy-portioned nachos. Every chip was laden with meat, veggies and delicious unhealthiness. I wouldn’t want it any other way. Despite guzzling down beer, chomping on nachos and facing a Sophie’s Choice of who I wanted to LOSE more(the Lakers or Celtics; am I 8 years old again? Am I in a time warp?), I decided I needed more food in my fat gut. Luckily, I was at a sports bar and not a hip spot. My moobs would be celebrated as a rite of Midwesterny magnificence, rather than derided as the result of poor food choices. If you’re a beef eater, you’re in luck. The burgers looked terrific. Hopefully, by the time I am back, they’ll have some turkey or lamb burger options. I decided upon a wrap with veggies, shrimp and some sort of hot sauce. It was good but it didn’t knock my socks off. I really wanted a burger. The fries were a highlight. You can get them loaded with cheese, spice and everything nice. Thinly-cut and made-to-order, the fries were a perfect accompaniment to my beer and growing ass. If you live in the area and Pour is not in your rotation of summer spots, you might be making a mistake. Wait. You are. And, if you don’t live in the area, hop on the Brown Line, get off at Paulina and thank me later.

I was at Pour on a night that defined the mood of a Thursday: «I don’t really want to party too hard but I want to be out, just out… somewhere, maybe kinda quiet, definitely casual, nice enough enviro to where I can slip slowly without any annoyances.» Pour fulfilled. Nachos of freshly pulled chicken & refried black beans. Nachos served with an extra side of chips & salsa(brought out by the owner preemptively). Classy, classic small, brass tap-stand of a handful beers(ranging from PBR to Great Lakes to a strange brew of Stiegl that was the«summer» Stiegl that leaned more toward lemonade). Attentive service all night that had no qualms with changing the channel upon asking for a different sporting event. The burger… the burger was damn fine and damn rare which I like. The frites weren’t really frites — more like shoestring fries with parm, garlic garnish and aioli — know that when pondering the asked of extra $ 2.50 for«frites.» A patio of a quaint, oasis getaway. A patio that won’t go un-noticed for long, so get in while it’s quiet & cozy. Who knows what will happen to Pour as time passes… as crowds grow… one thing is for certain. they’re building a foundation for one loooong, good pour.

You know what? I’m sick of f’ing Unilocalers. I can’t take a sh*t without turning around and seeing someone reviewing it. My waitress here said they opened on Thursday and I saw damn sure I was going to get an elusive«first to review» in the city. Nope. No luck. 2 reviews and not even all the copious amounts of booze I’m consuming here will dull the pain of knowing I missed out. Anwho, this place is sweet. The service is absolutely excellent — seriously second to none. It’s the kind that will make you notice the quality service when things go well… and notice how they bend over backwards to make things right when things don’t go just right. When you have good drinks, good food, and back it with attentive staff and A+ hospitality you’re wokring with a recipe for success. The inside has plenty of tvs to catch the game. There is also a comfortable patio for when it’s nice out. Take the Paulina Brown-line and you’re only a block away if you head east. This is a definite recommend.

I heard about Pour Drinks & Eats on Urban Daddy this past week and decided to try it out for my birthday dinner because of the patio area. I was definitely impressed by the patio area upon arrival. It was large and had plenty of seating. I would have enjoyed sitting on the luxurious couches but they definitely are not for eating a meal on. My only complaint about the patio area were the tables and chairs. They were not very comfortable and I think they could do better. We ordered a round of cocktails from the«Nine for Nine» menu. Everyone really enjoyed them; however, they could have been a little stronger. The muddled fruit was a nice touch though! We also tried out three different kinds of the frites for an appetizer(Regular, Italian and Greek). Each one was better than the last and they were the highlight of the meal. Among our group we ordered steak tacos, the chicken cesear wrap, the cheese stuffed hot dogs wrapped in tortillas and the spinach salad. For the most part everyone was satisfied with their meals. Two of us split the tacos and they gave us a steak sandwich instead of steak tacos and also did not prepare them the way we asked for. I would also warn that the habanero ketchup that comes on the hot dogs is VERY spicy. All in all the food was pretty good. I think this place has all the makings of a hit and has a great overall quality. I look forward to going back again to enjoy the patio area and delicious food and cocktails!
