Ok so I love Pita Pit! When I was in collegue I use to go to one all the time. So when I moved to Chicago I was super excited to see that they had one here! I think they are typically by collegue campuses and this one is no different(near DePaul). Its a good sandwich spot that is open late. I usually stuff everything but the kitchen sink in whatever sandwich I get(I am a huge veggie and toppings fan). The Pita’s are always filling and the ingredients taste fresh. And when I am grabing it late night I don’t feel as guilty when I am eatting so late at night lol.

If you know Gyros and are serious about it this is NOTTHEPLACE. They don’t even cut it fresh of the spit. The pitas actually appear to be tortilla skins as to regular Mideast pita’s. Very disappointed.

Order was estimated to take 25 minutes. Order in reality took 2 hours… Called after the first hour, and was told delivery«is less then 5 minutes away» called after hour and a half, and was again told delivery«is less then 5 mins away». 2 hours later my smug delivery man acts like I’m crazy and hands me a cold and soggy pita.

Today I stopped by to get a chicken pita and I was really upset because I got a salad wrapped in flat bread. I barely tasted the chicken. Definitely not enough meat.

I love Pita Pit and order from the Chicago Pita Pit app almost once a week. Besides the app being amazingly easy to use, there is no order minimum so I can order a Pita whenever I want! The food is delicious, healthy and fresh and the employees who work there are so polite and on the ball. My order is always correct and comes in 15 – 20 minutes! I can’t even cook something in that timeframe. Thank you Pita Pit! PS: download the app you won’t be sorry(grub hub requires a $ 30 minimum).

The staff is friendly enough. The food is excellent and entirely customizable. Great vegetarian options. Restaurant is clean. Great place to stop in on the go, or sit down and grab a bite with a friend.

Went here for food but they didn’t have a working bathroom. My friend went to subway next door and bought food, he brought it here and they kicked him out. We asked for a refund and then they threw our glasses of water at us as we walked out.

Cheap-tasting meat, sandwich toppings similar to Subway. Overall bland, low quality, yet overpriced fast food. If you’re looking for something convenient in the area, just go next door to Allende where you will spend half the money for food that actually tastes like food.

Is there a way to give zero stars? because that’s what they deserve. I didn’t know falafel comes without hummus I had to take out a loan to buy the falafel sandwich which was awful and tasteless and dry If you’re in the area and you want falafel go to sultans it’s only a few blocks away and significantly better than this sh*t hole

This place is healthy and offers a variety of options for a pita The pita is amazingly delicious at a great price. It’s a fast food joint, so not that spacious and average ambience

I work near DePaul so I always like to find places nearby and so the few first times that I went to Pita Pit, I was delighted and a big fan of the pita sandwiches. However, today as I was eating food from there, I discovered a hair in my sandwich. It was disgusting and will never set another foot there ever again. Next time you eat there, I recommend that you check your food for hair.

I came in for the first time since college and brought an e-coupon with me for a free drink and they refused to accept it, told me I needed to print it out… no where on the coupon does it say it must be printed. The manager said, «I told them yesterday to update the coupon but I guess they haven’t gotten to it yet.» Hmm, really dude. Poor management. But that’s not enough to earn one star. Their meat portions are dismal, they’re half of what they used to be. Clearly they’ve abandoned ship and are squeezing every last cent out of this pit.

Basically a heathy burrito style pita. Big on greens but not enough meat. Healthy nevertheless and staff very friendly and attentive.

Pita Pit is not challenging sophisticated palates or revolutionizing the culinary landscape any time soon– but that doesn’t stop it from delivering time and time again. On paper, it sounds like nothing special. Take a pita, stuff it with your choice of ingredients, and promptly stuff yourself. The differentiation between Pita Pit and similar competitors lies in freshness and options. The steak and eggs on wheat is my go-to. Select from nearly twenty vegetable fillings(spinach, tomatoes, green peppers, banana peppers, and grilled mushrooms and onions for me!) and then add one of a dozen or more sauces. The cooked ingredients(including the meat) are grilled right in front of you, fresh to order. Ultimately, you are delivered a huge portion of hot food for a minimal price. If the combination is bad, you can only blame yourself! PS: makes for a wonderful snack late at night after a few too many drinks

Pita Pit was very accommodating with our order. Although it is very difficult to find a parking spot, we did the whole drop-off-and-pick-up-while-i-go-around-the-corner deal. We order by phone and so our food was ready to go when i got there! Food: 1. Chicken Caesar Salad Pita: So refreshing and light with chicken, bacon, romaine lettuce. So flavorful with the right amount of vegetables. The cheese and dressing added great flavor as well. 2. Chicken Souvlaki Pita: Greek Seasoned Chicken, it was very herby and tasty. 3. Falafel: was just okay, it was a good addition into the pitas. There are very simple and fresh ingredients(and probably secret sauce that makes it tastes so gooood) that played very well together to make a light but satisfying dinner.

I had no idea what to expect when we walked in here, but I was pleasantly surprised by the fresh, made to order food I tasted. You get a choice of white or wheat pita, plus a ton of toppings and sauces and cheese. Avocado spread and hummus are extra. I had a wheat pita with chicken, cheddar, avocado, lettuce, tomato, and onion with honey mustard. It was quite tasty and not a huge mess, which I appreciated in my fancy NYE duds. Just know that because the food is made to order, the wait is a bit longer than other fast food joints.

Pit Pit started in Canada so my late teens and early 20s late nights were spent chowing down at the location on Granville Street in Vancouver. So, when I discovered that they had begun to franchise in the US, I was thrilled. BEST drunk food ever. Best lunch ever. Healthy, satisfying, and they have PINEAPPLE. And the best honey mustard sauce of all time. PLEASEOPEN A LOCATIONNEARDOWNTOWN! Seriously. I can’t keep paying for drunken cab rides to Lincoln Park!

2 stars because the cashier swiped my card 3 times and I got charged an extra $ 3.16. Called the manager to get it back and he never called me back either. Left my phone number and name and everything. He sounded super unsure what to do about it too and asked if I wanted credit for next time. NO I want my $$ back. I know it’s only $ 3.16BUTSTILL… Will not be going back here. This was the only thing opened at like 3am besides the mexican place next to it. Maybe I should’ve gone there. Oh well. The pita I had was fresh and yummy and the chick who rolled it up for me did it with passion and love. She was pleasant and thank you gf for advising me what to get on my pita since I’m pita-illiterate over here.
