The place looks great where you can play bocce and bowling. The buffet hall looks good. Unfortunately as for food, the meatball pasta tastes too salty and is below my expectation.

Went to Pinstripes with a group of 9 to celebrate a birthday on Saturday night. We had a dinner reservation at 5:30, but the restaurant was pretty empty at that hour. The first floor of Pinstripes is really nice, with a receptionist desk in front, a large bar/lounge area and then the general seating area. There’s outdoor space as well overlooking the river. Food overall was good. I had the spicy chicken sandwich and enjoyed it. The Italian jambalaya looked really good as did the chicken parm. The lasagna was a rather small portion. My primary complaint is everything was pretty expensive. The food was good but let’s not pretend Pinstripes is a Piccolo Sogno or Siena Tavern… We ended up paying for 2 hours of bocci ball downstairs. The courts are great and a server came around regularly taking our drink orders. Again my complaint is cost. Saturday night bocci was $ 10/hour/person. I realize we had a ton of people for one court/game but $ 90/hour for bocci for the group? Feels like a rip off. This is a really neat place, and I had a great time, it’s just really expensive to fully take advantage of everything they had. Definitely a once and a great while type of place for me.

We only ate here but the bowling and bochee ball look like a very good time. I had the shrimp flatbread and felt is was very well done. We had some beer and the list was pretty decent, they had a grande beers(750 ml bottel) which was nice and not every place carries these. Overall it was a very nice time with good food but nothing I would go out of my way for unless you really want to bowl or play bochee ball after you eat dinner.

Service from Bryce was fantastic! The food was very good. We had the jumbo lump crabcake for an appetizer. It was delicious but overpriced because there was only one on the plate. Boyfriend had the bbq chicken pizza — I’m not sure that I was mentally ready for bbq sauce to replace tomato sauce but boyfriend happily devoured leftovers a few hours later. I had the Italian«jambalaya» and it was delicious! I can’t remember the drink I had but I remember it was good. I would happily return and try more dishes here.

Great attentive waiter and for a casual place I was pleasantly surprised… The bread pudding was amazing, and they might have the best calamari in Chicago…

This past Sunday was my first time coming and definitely won’t be my last! The brunch was amazing! Everything I ate was good! I especially loved the mini waffles with the nutella and balsamic cream whips as well as the fruit options to go on top. Mmmm! The bottomless mimosas and the diverse options at the chocolate fondue station were a plus. Bowling was just bowling to me(not much of one to give an opinion.) Fun activity to do with friends and/or family. They serve drinks in that area too. Coolness! I will be back.

We had our family Christmas party for 20 of us and rented out three lanes. The sales office was exceptionally helpful in getting everything reserved for us. We pre-ordered our appetizers so that they were ready once our party arrived. Shoes and bowling balls were conveniently located right by our lanes. We had a lot of comfortable seating with couches and comfy chairs as well as some high top tables. We had two dedicated servers who kept our thirst at bay and were great at getting everyone’s dinner orders. We had a great time bowling, eating and drinking. Thanks Pinstripes for a job well done in entertaining us!

Bad Costumer service made me two terrible drinks. One was made incorrectly and one was only half full.

Okay, so I booked a party of 10-the day for bocce and dinner. I had 2 choices, eat first and then play or have a wait staff for our area so we could eat and play. I decide eat and play would give us the most flexibility for fun and mingling. Things I didn’t know to ask: How long do we have the bocce court if we are doing an eat and play? I assumed it would be at least 2 hours – BUTNO – it was only one hour, half of which was spent deciding on what to eat! So when does court time commence? If your food is not served till after your time is up… do you keep the lane? Nope! We were asked to leave the lanes, which totally broke the Fun eat and play experience — worse yet the party that was expected was a no show! Seriously? Why kick us off the court if the next party is not standing in front of you? How much does it cost to play bocce… like duh… but I didn’t ask – it was $ 5 – 6 bucks per person Ultimately, I would NOT recommend the play and eat option unless you are clear that you expect to have the court for the duration of your party! Know how much per person it will cost for the court… and then enjoy the toss of the pallina!

Fun spot for brunch and bocce or bowling. Really enjoyed the brunch with unlimited mimosas. The prime rib, omelette and waffle bar were my favorites. We then followed up with bocce ball for an hour. The service was excellent! I want to go bowling here as well. I have also sat at the bar and watched football and eaten apps and loved that too. The space is great and the venue super for groups. Can’t wait to go back.

Hmmmm… bocce ball, food and booze. Great combination! However, not so much. We came here for my wife’s work holiday party. They had a special going that evening, however when I received the check it was regular prices. Little did we know, parties are exempt for the specials. UGH! Furthermore, we only got one round of food. People that paid and came later were SOL. I felt so bad. The food was decent. But then drinks… o my. If I have ever had more watered down drinks in my life. OOOOOOOOOO my! Restaurant looked nice. So, so. Indoor bocce ball is cool though.

I’ve come here on a couple of occasions now and my thoughts on this place are overall positive, but mixed. The best time to go: happy hour! the appetizers and flatbreads are at a great price and the drinks are very value-based. the not so great time to go: brunch for the next two weeks. They’re on a «holiday brunch» schedule which means it’s $ 35/person AYCE + bottomless mimosas while it is normally $ 28. I’m not quite sure where the extra $ 7 came in. There was nothing that made me feel like«damn that was worth it.» Yes, they had smoked salmon, yes they had prime rib, and yes they had endless mimosas. But if you’re not a huge drinker, i think you’d be disappointed with the stale pizza, dry chicken fingers and overdressed salads. It was decent for the price but nothing I think I’ll come back to anytime soon. On top of which, the wait staff seemed to really rush us to leave(asked if they could give us our checks while our plates and mimosa glasses were quite full on two occasions). Other than the food and service, though, the venue itself is quite the treasure. Clean, spacious, and fun!

We were very surprised by how good the food is here, both for brunch and for the regular menu. When the weather is nice the balcony is really great, dont forget to try the Flatbread.

Food was great! Patio was nice! Bowling was super fun(just wish the music was louder). I came in with a group for our monthly restaurant meeting. They were able to accommodate our fairly large group without any issues. Our waiter, Jeremy(aka Jer Bear… lol), was attentive and fun. He suggested the pineapple upside down shot for the table– best shot ever! In terms of dinner food– this is what you should order: 1) The goat cheese chicken 2) The Italian jumbalaya 3) Smores I sampled the lamb rav and wasnt a huge fan. I also sampled an italian beef pizza which was okay. We had a great night at Pinstripes! I’ll definitely be back! =)

This restaurant is great! The service was amazing. I made a reservation for a group of 15 a few weeks beforehand over the phone although their online reservation system said it was unavailable. They also made me a bowling reservation for two hours for two lanes. It was a pretty slow night so even though we were seated right away, our entire group didn’t come until 40 min late but they didn’t complain at all. We started with drinks, some yummy bread and a pineapple upside down shot recommended by our awesome server, Jeremy. He even let us split checks which made life so much easier. Bless him! Some Chicago restaurants give you so much attitude if you even ask. On to the food! I tried a few dishes: Italian beef pizza– huge! Can be shared with two people Jambalaya– delish! Chicken and goat cheese pizza– the best! Bowling was a lot of fun and I loved the free pinstripes socks! The waitress was super nice and not overbearing. We loved this place! I’d definitely recommend it for a big group to do a fun activity instead of just a meal.

Stumbled upon this place tonight. Wonderful experience. They have boci ball, bowling and a cozy fire to sit by. Located on the water and great outside seating. Lighting could have been better outside. We started with the spinach and artichoke dip. A must! My husband had the spicy crispy chicken sandwich. It was enormous, ended up bringing half home. I went with the Prime Rib Dip on pretzel roll. Delicious The horseradish cream wasn’t tangy enough for me.

I’ve been coming here for happy hour after the movies at AMC River East. And enjoying it. The restaurant part is actually quite nice, with a nice looking dining room and outdoor patio. The bowling lanes are way off to the side in another area, so it’s not like eating in a bowling alley, and the bocce court looks like fun. But for me the only exercise is raising a cocktail glass. So find me in the bar area. The bar has comfortable seating and there are high top tables if you prefer. Service is friendly, and my Manhattan was well-made. No complaints there. The happy hour specials are really appealing. Wine and beer for $ 4, half-price appetizers, and great flat breads for $ 7. Chicken + avocado flatbread had a good crust and was tasty(it’s a «club» so tell them to hold the bacon if you don’t want it). My friend’s pepperoni flatbread suited him to a T. The filet mignon trio with mashed and asparagus was a decent entrée, but this is no steakhouse. Like I said, a very serviceable happy hour. Just be sure to get your orders in before 6:30!

Our first brunch in Chicago and we chose Pinstripes. A place that has bowling and bocce ball in side. But they also had a stellar brunch until 3pm. It’s a good thing that we arrived at 2! We were seated almost immediately and then shown around, there was just about everything you could choose from: Carved meats, hand made omelets, waffles, meat balls, chicken wings, pizza… Quite literally. EVERYTHING. And the desserts were to die for. They even included Mimosas in the price. I enjoyed the carved meat station the most, it was good prime rib! The salads and the home made breads were so tasty. I would love to come back.

The River East Building has not had good luck with restaurants… so this review is strictly on the restaurant. Upon entering this massive restaurant, I had noticed how cool this restaurant is with the exposed beams, brick walls, wooden floor and the brightness of this space is. We were seated right away since we were having a late lunch. We had opted to have a booth. There are various seating configurations to accommodate everyone. George had greeted with a great smile and personality. He went over the menu with us then proceeded with our drink order. Everything looked really good. George had brought us our drinks then took our order. I had ordered the loaded mac n’ cheese(I tend to judge a restaurant on this item). My companions had ordered the Salmon Sandwich and the Prosciutto Sandwich. We also had ordered three cups of the chicken dumpling soup since it was a cool day. The soups were brought to us right away. The soup was very good. Then shortly, the food runner had brought our main courses. We had sampled each other meals and none of us had any negative thing to say. The Mac N’ Cheese was one of the best I’ve ever tasted. I’ve had some bad Mac N’ Cheese. Throughout our meal and dessert/coffee, George was great. He really added a great experience. After our meal, we take a tour of this complex of restaurant and bowling and bocce areas. The areas looked really spotless. The restaurant has an incredible patio over looking the river. If it’s cool night, don’t worry, there are blankets and several fire pits to keep you warm I would highly recommend this place. Looking forward to my next visit.

Looking for a cool place to lounge while playing some bocce or bowling. You found your spot! Right when you walk in it seems like a cool huge wine bar. Then you go further and there’s a restaurant, patio(with a great view) and then some bowling and bocce! So much fun!!! Not only are the drinks amazing like the Moscow mule or grapefruit n vodka the food n dessert is on point! Got to try some pizza, the toppings and crust were perfect and the dessert was to die for! A lot of people also rave about their salads so gotta remember to order that the next time I’m there. So if your looking for something different to do with a group of friends or date rather than just go to a bar, this is the perfect spot!
