History

Established in 1998.

Pinnacle Yachts was founded by Patricia and Gary Feracota, and Randall Smith, avid sailors and accomplished business people. Our objective:

«To provide responsible people the opportunity to cruise a quality yacht for a reasonable price without the burden of maintenance, through a professionally managed fractional leasing program.»

Over the years, our team has grown to include some of the best and brightest in decision sciences, training, maintenance and financial management.

We pioneered sophisticated technology for shared yacht scheduling and maintenance. We are aligned with the world’s foremost yacht manufacturers. Our fleet operates in the finest metropolitan marinas. We are, and have always been, profitable and financially stable.

All the credit for our success goes to our hundreds of loyal members — most of whom have been with us for many years.

Meet the Business Owner

Patricia F.

Business Owner

Patricia Feracota was a manager at the accounting firm Deloitte & Touché, where she served the firm’s most important client.

Patti holds a BS in Accounting from the University of Illinois and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Randy Smith was a Manager at Andersen Consulting (Accenture). He was later COO of a medical equipment company.

Randy earned an BS in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University. Randy is also a USCG Licensed Captain and holds numerous marine certifications.

Gary Feracota was a Partner at Deloitte Consulting. He also was turn-​around CEO for a private software company. He also served on the Board of Directors of Mercury Air Group, a then publicly-​traded company that provides services for fractional jets and commercial airlines.

Gary holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, a BS in Physics from Northern Illinois University, and has completed the curriculum in Corporate Governance at Harvard Business School.
