Meet Dr. Storer!

Dr. Storer is a 1976 graduate of the University of Notre Dame and obtained his doctorate in General Dentistry from Loyola University School of Dentistry in 1980. Upon graduating, he completed a residency program in Hospital Dentistry at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in 1981. Dr. Storer was an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Oral Diagnosis at Loyola University School of Dentistry and, for the past 20 years, has been a member of the Medical Staff of Resurrection Medical Center, where he has served as Chairman of the Department of Surgery and is currently Chairman of the Section of Dental Services. He is also a member of the Credentials Committee and the By-​laws Committee as well. Dr. Storer also serves as a clinical instructor and attending dentist in the residency program of the Department of Emergency Medicine and is a guest lecturer for the Department of Family Practice. I’ve been seeing Dr Storer for about 4 years now. I’ve had several crowns a few filling and have not had any pain at all. His work is impeccable and when you come in he makes you feel like an old friend he’s missed. I highly recommend him!

I love this dental practice! It’s located within the Resurrection Professional Building off Talcott in Chicago on the Fifth Floor (Suite 560). The hygienists are super friendly and engage in fun chit-​chat with you. Dr. Storer has been my dentist for quite a while now. At my most recent appointment/​cleaning, he jokes «how do you even know I’m a good dentist??» after confirming all is well (never had a cavity). He’s never actually done any dental work on me other than the twice a year check but the time will come eventually. In fact, just last week I chipped my front tooth. I freaked out and immediately called the office. Unfortunately, Dr. Storer was on vacation so I panicked a little more when I was told I was going to see his associate. Really, what’s the difference considering this was my first real dental work experience! But notice the comfort level… Dr. Storer makes you feel at ease in the chair and is actually quite funny! So it made me nervous that he wasn’t available. I ended up seeing one of his associates, Dr. Wagner, for my «emergency» appt and she was awesome as well. My front tooth looks perfect and I was in and out within 30 minutes. Recently, I switched my husband to this practice as well and he too claims that it’s an efficient, fun place to visit. No one likes the dentist, but you’ll like this one!

I have been seeing Dr. Storer for longer than I can remember. Although I don’t actually see him for very long when I’m in for my six month cleaning appointments (he’s in and out quickly to check on things after I’m all cleaned up– just the way I like it), it’s like visiting with an old friend or family. He knows my parents, asks how they, and the rest of my family, are doing, etc.
I recently went in for work on some old fillings. I’m always apprehensive when a dental appointment involves noisy instruments… They got me into the chair right on time, numbed me up with barely any pain, and I experienced virtually no discomfort. Dr. Storer always keeps me entertained with just the right amount of conversation as he is working. I love listening to the banter back and forth between the dentists, hygienists, and office staff who work so well together.
I’ve been going here for long enough that Dr. Storer knows me and knows my teeth. He’s one reason I hope I never relocate too far from Chicago. I currently live a good 40 minute drive away from the office, but I don’t mind the occasional commute for a quality dental professional.
