Hands down 5 stars. Fantastic spicy chicken wings; the chicken and sauce. Great rice quality cooked perfectly, awesome seafood soup, and Mongolian beef out of this world. Frequent buyer when I can afford $ 40 for a wonder of 2 sets of wings and the beef :)

When I first moved to Albany Park I tried this restaurant out of pure necessity(it was open late and I wanted Chinese) now I bring anyone I can here. The spicy shrimp and the chicken wings are stand outs. The black bean noodles and spicy sea food soup is phenomenal!

A hidden gem. My family has been coming to this restaurant since I can remember. Now that I have a family of my own, I want to continue that tradition. My fiancé was hooked on our first date here. The quality of the food and the service are always excellent. My favorite has always been the Mongolian beef and chicken wings. We live quite far from the restaurant now which makes it such a treat(and adventure) when we do get to have it.

Hidden little gem… loved my experience. I walk in and was told to just take a seat very friendly and fast service. Super nice I got soup right away(didn’t order it) and a nice tea pot full of green tea! Yum soup very rich and full of flavor lots of body(specially for a wonton soup). I ordered the cashew chicken to be safe and it was far from safe. Lots of flavor and just enough amount. After having it ready very quickly I was helped my multiple people which was great and what they all had in common was a very pleasant way they treated customers. I would definitely come back for seconds

First time trying this place. We didn’t call ahead and ordered it to go. I ordered a combination fried rice and egg rolls. It looks somewhat pleasing to the eye but everything was super bland, mostly colorless and I’m pretty sure they use frozen peas & carrots in the rice. I had to use a lot of soy sauce in the rice and load my egg rolls in sweet/sour sauce & chili sauce to liven it up. I bit into some chicken tendons. That was not helpful either. I can’t speak to their entrees but their fried rice and egg rolls were a no go for me.

This is more like 3.5. This is the first Korean Chinese restaurant we have been to so I feel like I can’t give a very well thought out review until I try Great Sea Restaurant. However, we had the jjamppong, spicy chicken wings, and sweet and sour pork. We loved the jjampong and the sweet and sour pork. The wings were kind of dry and we probably wouldn’t order them again. Portions were huge. For 32 bucks we even had leftovers to bring home. We loved the old school feel of the place too. We will be back on a cold winter evening when we need some spicy seafood soup to warm us up.

Sea food noodle soup is always on point! its spicy goodness! I go there just for this soup. I think the chicken wings are good but sometimes they come out kinda tough and dry underneath that delicious sauce. The combination fried rice is what i usually get but I request they add more soy sauce.

Great service and good food. Their egg drop soup was super good and the spicy fried pork with vegetables was awesome. Not a big fan of their crab rangoons, nice and crispy but the cream cheese was laid in too thick without much flavor. Also tried the hot and sour soup which was a bit too mushroomy but otherwise good. Our first visit but we will be back to try some more dishes. ***update-GET THECHICKENWINGS!

Came here because its close to home and had good Unilocal reviews. Were not disappointed. Had the crab Rangoon which had a generous amount of filling but breading was dark moat likely from old oil. We did go only one hour before close so if they had a busy day we had the end of the oil used for the day probably. They still tasted good. Same with the egg rolls, but they too tasted good. We had the hot wings #32 on the menu & it was tasty! Free rice & nice hot green tea, I think it tasted like Jasmine green tea which was also good. We will come again for sure to try more things.

These mfs are expensive and have mediocre food. I can go to Chinatown & get authentic food, large portions, & the food is awesome for the highway robbery prices they’re charging. No thanks

As per recommendations by fellow Unilocal reviewers, I tried sweet and sour pork, the chicken wings and the black bean noodles. I didn’t like the black bean noodles. However, the people were right. the portion sizes are way too large and I couldn’t finish the black bean noodles even though I was sharing with my sister. The sweet and sour pork & the chicken wings are really delicious. However, I only tried a few pieces because I was full. So beware of the large food portions. I am going back again and again. Friendly staff :) Nothing to complain(although I wish they would not give me ice water)

Love this place! This is where I go to get my jajanmyun + tangseeu fix. Also really enjoy the Spiced fried pork as well. Tea/White rice is complimentary(as it should be!) and the service is actually really friendly and nice(they speak English, Chinese, Korean, Spanish very well). The food has been consistent over the past three years I’ve been going, which I find very impressive. No frills or fluff, just good Korean-Chinese comfort food.

Tasty food. Kitchy décor. Friendly staff but I’m not sure I’d want to be here when it was really busy. They aren’t the most efficient and that could really impact your meal if they were busy. Their Chicken Wings are what everyone waits for and they are definitely good. Hot and Sour Soup and other items we had were also very good. Probably the best Chinese food outside of Chinatown. Prices are very reasonable.

OMG. I almost don’t want to Unilocal this place because I don’t want it to become overcrowded but WOW. Hands down best spicy fried chicken, sweet and sour pork, and black bean noodles I’ve ever had… which is saying a lot because I’m Korean and from California. Come check it out for yourself. Portions are HUGE. I came with my boyfriend and we eat a lot but had plenty of leftovers when we ordered the 3 dishes. It could comfortably feed 3 or even 4. Service was quick and efficient :) will be back soon!

This restaurant serves Koreanized Chinese food. It’s interesting and worth trying, but not sure I’d come back since this is kind of a hike. The place is clean and the people who work here are friendly and very nice. The portion sizes are large and the prices are cheap. I took my sister and mom here today on the recommendation of a Korean friend since my sister is obsessed with Korean culture and food. We ordered the jjajangmyeon(black bean noodles), tangsooyook(sweet and sour pork), and jjampong(spicy seafood noodle soup). These are the Korean names rather than the English/Chinese because my sister ordered for us. Everything was good but the jjampong was the winner, hands down. The flavor was good and not so spicy that you couldn’t enjoy it. Definitely a must order. The jjajangmyeon was good but it’s a heavy dish and too much will send you into a food coma. The tangsooyook was probably my least favorite, but still solid. If you’re close by, this isn’t a bad place, but I don’t think I’ll make the hike again.

The first time I tried this place was this past new year. My sister recommend it to me. It had great food and good service. The place was a mess one customer was being a real pain. The lady was doing her best order after order. My Mangolian beef was also kinda burnt and the rice was soggy. I decided to give them another chance… Wow was I surprised ! This is my second favorite Mongolian beef in this city. The sefood soup was perfect. And bravo on the combination seafood platter. Unlike my first experience I really enjoyed the food here. They are quick when u call in an order. Also they are a skimpy when u oder 40 worth of Chinese food and you don’t get a fortune cookie… –1 star for consistency and skimping me on fortune cookies. Other then that great place to take care or that Chinese food addiction you have been ignoring…

It’s true… the spicy seafood noodle and Mongolian Beef are really good. Spicy seafood noodle tastes just like the Filipino version of «Lomi». Disappointed with the sweet and sour chicken and chicken wings, both were tough.

I just left this restaurant and I think it’s necessary for everyone to know where to find the best spicy seafood noodle in Chicago. It’s spicy, plenty of seafood and the noodles tasted great. The portion was big enough to feed 4 people! 2 if you’re super hungry. We ordered the black bean noodles(I didn’t like it much but only because I’m not a big fan of black bean noodles), sweet and spicy fried shrimp(tasty) and crab Rangoon(filled with cream cheese). Service was helpful. Lots of people coming in to pick up their orders. The inside is quite antiquated but you know it’s because they prefer to focus on the food than the décor. I know I’m going to be back here many times because this is the boy’s favorite place for black bean noodles. But I will happily oblige as long as I can get the delicious spicy seafood noodle!
