I work close by and am so glad an affordable, healthy, local option has opened up. On top of that, the service here is so awesome. The staff is super friendly and helpful without being obnoxious, unlike similar establishments where it seems to be «cool» to be a little aloof and rude. The local coffee roaster is fantastic and the food is quite tasty. I hope they last over here!

The food is fresh, flavorful and delicious. The service is excellent. Also they have a creative drink menu with unique homemade syrups that are a must try.

Eh, it’s the type of blade with bourgeois descriptions of breakfast sandwiches but thin toilet paper and stained sinks in the bathroom. I came mostly for the free coffee, had a breakfast burrito that was just ok. The coffee bar seems to be the highlight, and it would be an easy place to get some work done, lots of outlets and open space.
Tdlr: ok food, bourgeois vibe it doesn’t live up to.

Everything was absolutely wonderful. The service and the food are five stars. I have never been and had I no idea what do get. The man was so polite and patient while I figured out how to build my sandwich. You have to go!

This newly opened gem on Wabash Ave is across the street from Naf Naf Grill. Front window is bright and you can see the light rail. I don’t think I have given five star for any breakfast place, but here is one.
The entire place is well designed by owners. All the air duct and lighting features are steel black. However, the nature light, soft project lighting, and under counter LED bring the place alive. There are two parts, the left is prep station and cooks, where you can order sandwich, etc. I have not seen any breakfast place have chicken roaster behind the register, have you? The right hand is a beverage counter for people only need coffee and juice. Once I walked in I saw these oranges sitting on top of a Squeeze machine, shouting, me me me !!! The juice come in two size 12oz and 16 oz. It is not iced and very delightful.
I ordered egg-​cheddar-​tomato scramble without cheese, sided with multi grain toast. At beginning, a wrong dish came to my table, and friendly staff immediately apologized. He also eats breakfasts next to me and works on his computer. He later on greeted me and turns out to be the owner, Vincent. The right dish came very fast. The three-​egg mix was poured on iron to scramble without oil or butter, a big plus. Precooked, thick cut, smoked bacon was further diced right in front of me. With additional green and diced tomato, this breakfast is the only one I had comes in a bowl and is heart warming. There is not too much salt as the main appetite came from bacon and veggies. They are going to have outdoor seat ready soon.
Another thing earning my attention is that the staffs treated everyone with respect. On my way out, an seemingly homeless person walked in with changes and ordered coffee. When it’s ready, the girl brought the freshly brew to him table and greeted him just like everyone else despite the unfavorable odor. Thumb up.
P. S. There are two tanks of filtered water in the back for self served, free.

My go to place for breakfast or lunch when I need some place to study.
It does get a little crowded during peak times.
I enjoy the salad bar which is also vegetarian friendly, but food made to order are also delicious. Free wifi is provided which caters my study days

Great breakfast menu! I had the green eggs and ham which is a massive portion! The mix of ham, eggs, spinach and a light pesto make it a great option, just make sure you are hungry. Also tried the fresh pressed beet juice which tasted divine, if you can imagine that in beet juice.
I will definitely be back for the lunch menu to explore this very fresh healthy place.

The last time I tasted tomatoes and cucumbers like this was when I picked them out of my garden. The food is fresh. PERIOD. Yes you pay lil more than some places, but it is certainly not out of whack for downtown. Plus, it is a whole lot less work than gardening and preparing your own food for about the same effect. Delicious.
Today I ordered a smoked salmon bagel for breakfast and it had a good helping of salmon and half a salad between the bagel. Same price as other bagel shops downtown, with more salmon and some good greens
The bakery goods I have tried are fresh, but not all that great. Stick with the veggie stuff!

The baristas here are really rude and unfriendly.
I ordered a vanilla almond latte and it tasted very bitter so I asked them if they could please add some more vanilla. The barista got upset and said it had vanilla, and she knew because she made it herself. I wasn’t accusing her of not adding vanilla, just asked if she could add a little more.
Anyway, she said it was probably the almond milk and that she would need to make it with a different milk. So I said that’s fine and I mentioned that I had already paid more for the almond milk. Nearly a dollar more. Which isn’t much I guess, but it’s the principle of it. She didn’t even offer to refund me the extra charge for the milk. I like the ambience of the juicery but I’m very disappointed with the service.

This place is right next to my office so I go in a lot for lunch. Their salads and sandwiches are good and they have what seem like fresh, healthy and delicious ingredients. The meats are cooked daily for their salads and sammies (rotisserie chicken, ham, bacon and slow roasted beef).
At lunch it can get pretty packed and their service can suffer, which is somewhat expected.
However, I walked out of there with a 12 dollar ham sandwich that had 2 pieces of ham today! Two measly pieces! Chips come with a sandwich BUT only if u eat it in there. No chips with to go orders. Let me get some god damn chips if I am paying 12 bucks for bread and two slices of Ham.
I also got a salad one day and the guy forgot to put the dressing in. What kind of psychopath gets a salad with no dressing!!!

The Pilsen sandwich was pretty good. The first time I had it, the guy almost forgot the beans. I guess it’s hard for them to memorize every ingredient on each sandwich. The next time I had the Pilsen salad. Pretty good portion. The third time I went, they didn’t have any BEEF!!! this was very disappointing so I had to pick the Cobb Salad instead.
I was a bit hesitant in ordering the salad because this 3^rd time I went, the line was long enough for me to see the kitchen. I saw the girl cutting the romaine lettuce straight from the box and into the plastic bins. It seems like they don’t wash the lettuce. She just cuts each romaine lettuce head whole leaving the end. I wish they would wash the lettuce and spin dry them before serving.

Located in the Loop next door to an Art University, my husband and I decided to grab an early dinner before heading to a baseball game (it’s always cheaper to get food somewhere else than the stadium) at 5 pm. There were a few people (appear to be students) seated, but no one in line.
After looking at the salad bar, I decided to get the large plate option ($ 11.25 prior to tax, flat rate, not based on weight) and filling up whatever I wanted as I went down the line. There was cold food items (various salads) and hot food items (that included chicken, pasta, vegetarian options). I filled up on both and piled it rather high (which is more than I would normally eat on my own, but my husband and I were planning on sharing). I thought the various food items were okay, nothing really stuck out to me.
My husband ended up getting the Kale & Cos Caesar With Rotisserie Chicken Wrap, $ 8.50 prior to tax. This wrap was pretty big and can easily feed 2 people. The employee who prepared this wrap carved and shredded some pieces of chicken from a whole rotisserie chicken, which was nice because the chicken was moist and meaty. The wrap also had a Caesar salad in it that included lettuce, cherry tomatoes and croutons. I really liked the seasoned croutons, as it added a nice added texture and flavor.
Also it was nice that the employee seared the wrap closed on both sides, which gave the wrap an added texture (and also nice that the wrap is closed tight and not open while eating). Although there is supposed to be kale in this wrap, we didn’t see any. But we still enjoyed it despite it.
The wait for my husband’s free coffee (available at another counter) was longer than I was expecting.

Wait time for our wrap was pretty fast and I liked that we were able to see it being made in front of us.
There are small tables and there is also free WiFi available. I also noticed the outlet plugs right under the seating booth (did not see outlet plugs on the walls).
Food is pretty tasty with a set up of a college dorm dining hall. Prices seem fair and food is tasty. I would come back here again for a quick bite to eat.

The food is excellent. Serve yourself from. Variety of hot and cold options.
What I liked about this food is that it’s not loaded with sodium (salt) like most other places. (Excessive salt may feel good on your tongue but leaves you with a bloated yucky feeling after)
The Kale power green salad was awesome — not much left at end of close.
I bought a small box ($ 6) of hot food and a medium ($ 9) of old food and enjoyed a nice dinner in my hotel room.

It’s ok. The food is alright, it’s very concerning that they don’t seem to be following basic food hygiene rules though. Wonder what happens behind, in the kitchen? The tall gentleman, you’ll notice him behind the sandwich line, regularly is doing food preparation sans hat. He is also regularly preparing food for himself and what appears to be his wife, eating it and returning again to the line to prepare more food without hand washing and still without a hat. The baker regularly comes out to restock their baked goods, which don’t appear to be fresh. She does all of this bare handed while touching her hair and everything else around.
The food itself is very hit or miss. Sometimes the food off the bar is seasoned amazingly and delicious while others it lacks any flavor at all. They do the same trick as whole foods, load the bar up with cheap starches while limiting more expensive protein options. They use their left over chicken a lot from their rotisseries that they frequently advertise.
It is a great place to study but there is always something strange with drinks that I order. First of all they don’t have cold brew, it is the only coffee that I can drink due to having ulcers. When inquiring about it they gave me iced coffee instead of iced tea. Oh well. They also don’t have cold cups that are for here. Everything that you order cold comes in a plastic cup that goes straight to the landfill.
All in all, an ok spot. Needs some professional management of what appear to be the owners/​managers.

Six Words: Hot salad bar foods weren’t hot
1This is a review for the buffet-​line/​salad bar/​thing they have. I haven’t tried any of their made-​to-​order stuff.
I came here with a friend to kill some time before an event downtown. And we were initially confused when we walked in. There was a made-​to-​order section and then a bunch of islands for a salad bar/​buffet-​line/​thing. We opted for the salad bar because it seemed like a betterr bang for your buck. The premise is simple: choose a size take-​away container or plate and you pay for the container or plate. You don’t pay by the weight.
So being fairly fresh out of college/​horribly-​low-​paying jobs, we packed our take-​away containers to the brim. We also wanted to sample a little of everything.
And it was okay. The salads were actually quite tasty. But the hot foods were not as good. They were fairly cold and weren’t as flavorful as they should’ve been. I don’t think the warmers were doing their job effectively or maybe the food had been prepared so early in the day that there was no hope for heat. Either way, the hot foods were a flop.
As such, I probably won’t go back. It was a good deal for the amount of good I got but I rather pay more money for quality than quantity.

Short and simple, just go and enjoy the fresh ingredients. This place would do great in our pedway at 225 N MIchigan ave.

This is a great lunch option in the Loop. The food tends to be on the healthy side of the equation. This is especially true of the salad bar, where you will find lots of kale, salads, pasta, grilled tofu and other healthy stuff. There is no weighing here – just pile your items onto a plate, small, medium or large, and you will be charged accordingly no matter how high you stack it. I haven’t tried a sandwich yet but they look tempting. Desserts are tempting too, and some are available in half sized portions so you can keep the health thing going through dessert. There is a full coffee station and a small cup of the drip is available for $ 1.75 which I think is reasonable.
The décor is stylish, and seating options are comfortable, including lounge chairs, sofas and low tables. Lunchtime is packed with kids from SAIC and so forth. My only complaint would be that the salad bar looks a little wrecked and depleted by the time I get there – they could replenish it and straighten it out more frequently. Still, this is a great addition to the Loop casual dining scene, especially if you like sitting directly under the Wabash L tracks and watching trains. And the folks who work here are really nice.

Peach and Green is actually a Dublin import, still fairly new to the loop of Chicago. For my first visit, I naturally ordered the Full Irish biscuit and a medium latte. I immediately regretted not getting the homemade ginger syrup in said latte, as I only noticed the sign after sitting down. I also regretted the biscuit choice, since it ended up being dry and crumbly (aka my sandwich completely fell apart after one bite). However, my friend got his breakfast sandwich on white bread and said it was VERY good. So maybe that’s the way to go. The salad bar also looked like a good choice — lots of fresh and healthy options for a decent price. Although it wasn’t too busy around noon on a Saturday, the seating area wasn’t very clean. Next time I stop in, I’ll probably take my order to go.

5 stars for the food. Took off a star because it was a bit disorganized when I was waiting to get my order. There was a few ppl other than myself waiting to get our orders and no one called our names out nor told us where or when to pick up the food when it was ready. It was only after I approached the counter, pointed to an order that looked like mine, that the employee bagged up my food and gave it to me. I had watched it sit on the counter for a few minutes before I decided to approach it. I imagine that with some time, they’ll get a system down.
But onto the food. Holy cow. So good! I got the ham and egg biscuit breakfast sandwich. I was expecting a small thang (as I’ve come to expect from other breakfast spots.) Nope, not here. The biscuits are housemade and big and flaky. Not one of the dainty biscuits. The ham was perfection (flavorful and juicy) and the egg scramble, cheese and caramelized onions just sealed the deal for me. Btw, I had to take a later lunch because this thing was so filling!
Will I come back? Absolutely! My mouth is watering just thinking about that biscuit sandwich.

Peach and Green is a hot new business on Wabash. Its an excellent alternative to Good Stuff Eatery and Naf Naf Grill across the street, especially if you’re looking for a salad bar, hot bar, and coffee drinks, and walking to Whole Foods in Streeterville isn’t an option.
Peach and Green reminded me of Yazoo Pass in Clarksdale, Mississippi. The offerings are on par with Yazoo Pass, and I hope that P and G achieves the same community gathering place status that YP did. With free wifi, ample seating, and friendly service, P and G goes above and beyond the typical Loop lunch experience.
As for the food, its very reasonably priced. I love shortbread cookies, and P and G offers cookies for 50 cents each. The shortbread cookies are soft and buttery, and topped with granulated sugar. The cappuccino I had was expertly crafted, and I topped my drink with a shake of cinnamon spice and it made my drink all the more nice.
The one kink I noticed was the ordering scheme. If you order at one station (hot bar), it may not be communicated to the other station (coffee and smoothies) in a timely manner. Hopefully, P and G can streamline the ordering process.
