Paw Prints of Chicago Dog Boarding

Found Elizabeth on Unilocal.We were in a pinch with our new pup and needed to board him for a night. We took him over the day before and she’s got a great set up. The dogs have crates in the basement and she’s a dog lover, so they get to hang out around the house. She has a spacious backyard where the dogs can run and play. She’s very reasonably priced as well. We will definitely be taking Myles back!

My 2 dogs love staying with Elizabeth. They drag me to her front door! They turn into relaxed couch potatoes in her house. One of my dogs can get kind of snippy/​jealous but Elizabeth is a dog whisperer with him, and he gets along with all the other canine guests. I will use her every time from now on!

Elizabeth really knows dog behavior and how to make canines feed at home. My dog Buckley (Shih-​Tzu — terrier mix) has had some pretty mild, but still noticeable separation issues when we adopted him two years ago. When my wife and I go out of town, he’d whine and get anxious both before and after we went out of town. We used to take him to a place in Humboldt Park that did a pretty good job with updating us and keeping Buckley active, but had to find Paw Prints for more convenient boarding.
After my wife, Buckley, and I met Elizabeth, we felt very safe about leaving him at Paw Prints. While we left him there for the first weekend, Elizabeth sent us pictures and updates of Buckley’s adaptation. Buckley got along well with her dog as well. We also enjoyed that Buckley got to spend his stay at a house instead of a more institutional environment.
When we picked up Buckley, he didn’t show any of the same anxiety issues as when he stayed with other boarders. The next time we took him to board at Paw Prints, he actually seemed to look forward to the visit. Elizabeth and Buckley seemed to bond, and it means a lot to know that he’s well-​loved while my wife and I have to leave him for brief trips.
Elizabeth also charges very reasonable rates and is right in our Bridgeport neighborhood. We won’t leave Buckley with any boarder but Elizabeth’s Paw Prints in the future.

My dog is my life, so when it comes to going out of town I usually leave him with a select few close friends. He usually won’t eat or evacuate regularly when I leave so I always worry. I was referred to Paw Prints of Chicago Dog Boarding from a member of my dog community that I trust very much. She had used Liz in the past and spoke highly of her pet’s stay there. When I met Liz, Scrapps instantly gravitated towards her and even gave her a kiss on her hand. I also felt she had good energy and genuinely loved animals. I decided based on the referral and more importantly my dog’s demeanor around her that I would try Liz out. I cannot express how lucky I feel to have found Liz!!! Scrapps loves her and even ate/​evacuated regularly while staying with her for a long weekend. I love my friends, but I would probably choose Liz over most of them to hang with scrapps because I could tell upon returning that he was really happy the whole weekend. He was not crated, he exercised, socialized with other dogs, and was cared for. She even sent me pictures of him being a goofball. I felt very comfortable leaving Scrapps with Liz and will do so again. She doesn’t just board your dog, she gets to know him/​her and really cares for your dog.

I boarded my 7 mos old Pomapoo with Elizabeth for nine days. Sh
e provides at home care with a huge backyard for my puppy Sampson to run around and play. Elizabeth sent update pictures of Sampson to me during my vacation. I highly recommend Paw prints as Elizabeth provides excellent care for your pet that you will not get at other boarding kennels… outside play time and walks, socialization with people and other dogs, personalized feeding and other needs that you have. I never had to worry about Sampson under Elizabeth’s care. I would not hesitate to board my pet with Paw Prints.

I am a longtime customer of both the dog walking and boarding services and would highly recommend both. In more than 12 years of walking my dogs, Elizabeth has never missed a single day. She is the most reliable person ever. She boards dogs at her home and they get lots of play time and fresh air. They aren’t kept in a kennel the whole time. She also offers drop off and pick up service. My dogs love her, which is always a good sign.
