Beautiful little spa in Greektown, very well run. Clean, quiet and fresh smelling. I got a spa deal thing from work, and only used one so far, but Ill definitely be back.
Brought the BF along for the «bring a friend» deal, and we were both really happy and relaxed after our massages.

Bought a gilt city deal here for a 75 minute aromatherapy massage. Overall, it was a good experience and my massage therapist was very good. However, I’m a little irritated because the message I was given was 60 min (Max… Maybe less) not 75 minutes. My appointment was scheduled for 630 – 745 pm and the massage therapist ended the session at 635pm. This was after I waited a bit for it to get started. It was definitely not anywhere close to a 75 minute massage. I am hesitant to return due to this, which is unfortunate since I did enjoy the massage, but cutting the massage 10 min short is not okay.

Amazing amazing amazing. I just left after my 75 minute Swedish massage with Shannon. I cannot recommend this place enough. Although it is not truly a spa (small space, no relaxing lounging after) they pay attention to what really matters. After buying this deal on travelzoo (side note, they offer the same discounted price on your next massage if you prepay then. Done and done.) I almost expected a subpar rushed experience. After noticing I was put bartender as my profession she suggestion a few key areas to hone in on. She knew just how much pressure and technique to use to really get my knots out and still make it relaxing. I’m still blissed out. Cant stop smiling.

My fiancé and I went here last Sunday for a couple’s massage (our first time getting a massage ever). The place is small but very cozy.
Currently, there is some construction work going on on the street that the spa is on, so the street itself is closed but the sidewalk that leads up to the spa is definitely open. The person who greeted us quickly made us fill out a form to know more about what kind of massage (pressure type, any soreness etc) and were immediately ready for our massage.
The couple’s massage room was a little small and the masseurs had trouble moving around when working on both of us but the atmosphere was very relaxing, so we could have cared less. The music was soothing (mostly Oriental music which we liked) and very relaxing.
The massage beds were warm and clean, which is something I really appreciated. My massage was fantastic and my fiancé was very satisfied too with her massage.
The payment for the massage is accepted after your massage and tips are graciously accepted for the masseurs. Another good thing I would like to point out is that the masseurs spent about five minutes after the massage to talk to us and give us tips on how to handle soreness after listening to us talk about it first. That constitutes to an A+ experience for me.
The only feedback I would offer, is to include some scented candles or something similar in the room that could have exemplified the already soothing experience. I do understand that we never signed up for the aromatherapy session so expecting scented candles is a little too much.
Overall, a very pleasant first experience, enough to make us want to go back again.

This place is outstanding! I have gone in for scrubs and deep tissue massages. Every time the staff is very attentive and lets me know what they will be doing. They also specialize in TMJ which is huge for me because I have problems with tension in my jaw due to regularly grinding my teeth at night. I always leave there feeling very relaxed.

I recently found out Michelle was close to my office again and jumped at the opportunity to make an appointment.
She is so attentive to detail and a great listener and hones in on those tight and sore muscles.

I sit at a computer desk all day long, and my upper shoulder neck back area is always very tense. Maria was incredible. She made me feel very comfortable and I truly loved the experience!!! I felt amazing after. I got a sugar body scrub, and a upper body massage and all day i felt so good. I even slept great too. What a wonderful spa. Definitely will be back.

I bought a groupon for my mom and I to get a body scrub and my little sister decided to get the same deal. The three of us made an appointment for before my vacation and I was a little worried because my mom has never had a scrub or a massage or anything like that. The space is as other reviewers noted, a little bit of a hole in the wall. The waiting area is cute, but extremely tight and they gave you slippers and took your coat, but it wasn’t as if there was space to stretch out and relax. The rooms are all very tightly packed and do not provide good sound proofing at all, which is a key to relaxing during a massage. The other thing is that the floor creaks, so whenever my masseuse would move around the table I heard the creaking of the floor and it sounded like she was stomping on the floor, although I knew she was treading as lightly as possible.
However, in spite of the atmosphere being less than ideal for a spa, my body scrub was everything. Shannon spent extra time making sure to hit my dry skin areas, and she also left a little bit of scrub for me to use before showering on the more private areas she didn’t get to. She also gave me a little bit of a massage while putting on the lotion after the scrub and hit my tense shoulder and back area. I like a hard, sports massage and Shannon was able to continually apply a lot of pressure throughout, which was perfectly suited for me. My mom and my sister loved the experience and for $ 60 for 90-​minutes it was a great deal regardless of the issues with the atmosphere. Before we left the ladies who worked on us showed us the products they used and how to use them at home if we chose to buy them. We also had the opportunity to buy another 90-​minute scrub for the same price if we prepaid. All 3 of us decided to get another one, so I suppose that’s the best endorsement of all. Honestly, I’m just hoping they’ll move to a space that is more appropriately set up for a spa and then I can give them 5 stars.

I’m definitely the man and my husband is the woman in my relationship (at least as far as spa treatments go). I pretty much hate having strangers touch me and can’t wait for my haircut to be done or my toes to be painted all pretty so I can be on my way from a pedicure. Nevertheless, my husband did talk me into getting a couples massage here a while back… and it wasn’t terrible! And he even talked me into going again! All joking aside, this place is solid. My husband goes there somewhat regularly and really enjoys the massages that they give. He’s usually able to find a deal of some sort (I think Travelzoo most recently), making the price reasonable. Maybe he’ll even be able to talk me into heading back again for another couples massage…

I bought a 75 minute massage on Travelzoo, but it was totally worth the full price. I had Joan, who absolutely knew how to release my muscles. I left feeling like I had melted into the floor. It was awesome. I normally don’t really like work done on my quads — Joan knew how to hit all the achy spots I didn’t even realize were tight and achy.
The space isn’t fabulous, but it’s good, clean, and friendly.
I’m going back as much as I can afford to.

Love it. I was a little apprehensive at first because I bought a living social deal. sometimes with those deals the service isn’t that great, however, I was pleasantly surprised. Jackie was my therapist and she is just wonderful. She is super sweet, has a good energy about her, and gives a great massage, and I have had many so I can truly say that her massage is solid. I did a deep tissue and it really relieved my tension.
I have been there three times. Twice with Jackie. The third time I took my dad and Jackie worked on him and he loved it too. He said he could feel a lot of his lower back tension relieved. I went with Shannon, who is amazing too! She has a lot of experience. She worked at a chiropractor so really has some interesting and effective techniques.
Overall, I love it, both of those girls know their stuff. I will definitely return.

We came here on our anniversary for a couples massage. It is a super cute place, they offer you slippers and some water. We had a good experience overall. I’ve had many massages before, the one I had here was more like petting with every now and then pressure on one point. I know I didn’t sign up for deep tissue… So now I know. If I want the knots in my back worked out don’t go do Swedish. Apparently the two girls did the same exact massage on both my hubby and I. If you are not into deep tissue then this is ur style. We felt relaxed after… So it was worth the gilt city deal that we bought.

I’m not one of those girls who needs a sauna after or a big fluffy robe and lemon water while I wait. If I have my own space, strong hands and dim lighting with some relaxation tunes, I’m good to go. Oxygen has small, private rooms, each fitted with an iPad that plays music.
I came in with a very tight, painful back situation after moving and starting a desk job. I needed someone to work the knots out, not just a relaxing massage.
Van did just that. I wanted a deep tissue massage to really address my underlying pain. He dug in with lots of pressure, trying to loosen me up. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea but if it’s more of a chronic pain that needs to be addressed, I recommend this place.
The prices are great and there is street parking nearby.

Normally I like to try spas with more amenities like a sauna or hot tub, and I almost did not want to try Oxygen because of its size and lack of the extras. It’s pretty much just in and out but let me tell you; I’ve never been to a spa where I felt that I had to recommend to someone or re-​visit again.
Rocio was amazing. Her timing was on spot and almost had a rhythm to her work. From my back, shoulders, legs, feet, and back up to my scalp it was perfect. If I go in again I’d have to request Rocio. I’ve never felt that if I went back to the same spa that I’d have to request the same person.

So this is a tricky review as this place is really more of a studio as opposed to a Spa in the traditional sense. You arrive and it’s a very small wait area — part of their «comfort» routine is to give you some cotton slippers and offer you a glass of water. The bathrooms are awkwardly placed and the décor is wonky. but alas. let’s talk about the massage.
I was escorted to my room which was a converted bedroom and bathroom (literally, the table was in the middle, with the shower behind the table and sink to the left. It was quaintly decorated with dim lights and makeshift music. My masseuse was a sweetheart and made sure that I was okay with the set-​up.
The actual massage was an okay+ with quite a few adjustments (which is what the loss of the star was for). I usually expect to give a masseuse minimal guidance and then they are set with constant pressure throughout the experience. In this case, I would have to adjust her for each quadrant, but she was highly receptive which one has to appreciate. The other thing to note was that I felt like she did not evenly distribute or manage her time across the experience. For example, she spent maybe 20 minutes on one shoulder and like 10 on the other. it was that noticeable. Maybe her rationale was that I didn’t need as much work on the other side, BUT she said that my shoulderS were tight. oh well.
So in short, I would consider going back if I had another deal and I wanted to hit the body without the «relaxing» prep experience. I mean you get what you pay for and they do the work.

Maria and Shannon were the perfect duo for our couples massage.
It was both my girlfriend and my first massage but the staff at Oxygen made us feel relaxed and Maria and Shannon took care of the rest. We both felt great after.
I found Oxygen Spa on Unilocal and saw that they were the best priced with the best reviews.
They definitely lived up to the hype and were worth the short cab ride to the Greektown area.

You know that moment when you are on a massage table and you are faced with a difficult proposition: you have voiced to the therapist your «hot spot» and now, she is going after it. She is digging down beneath the muscles, beneath the fibers that hold your clavicle to your neck, with a claw-​like vise of a device which a moment ago was just her hand. You feel a slight heat, then it fades and sinews start relaxing to embrace this pincher, she fastens on a little deeper. You are getting the meat-​hook treatment and, at any moment, are ready to be strung up to the rafters in this generous-​ceilinged space… as the hook goes even deeper. You sort of begin seeing yourself up there, swinging around as this? possibly «good» discomfort starts throwing stars before your eyes…
You’ve been in this position before and you know that this is make or break: either this move is gonna kill you or it’s gonna be a healer. Just at that moment, you have a choice…

I took the Dare! I let Maria do that claw and immediately felt something in there finally release itself. The effects of this lasted more than a week, with no residual discomfort. She found the hot spot and worked it. Each individual has to determine for herself if she trusts a therapist to work a zone — I thought Maria did well overall with my body and I was relaxed enough to allow this deep technique.
I’ve been very pleased with my experiences at Oxygen. Massage is so much more than just «feel good» — a knowledgeable therapist can work wonders for movement/​flexibility etc. and Maria is just such a therapist. She is also part owner of the facility and wants to make sure that you have a good experience.
The space is clean and soothing — though the waiting room is a bit tight — I’m not there to wait long (never have.) There’s always a light snack available & slippers offered. The rooms have always been nicely temperature controlled and there’s a shower and mirror/​vanity for post-​treatment primping. I had a bit of trouble with on line reservation but James called me back promptly. Very satisfied.

I arrived for my appointment and rang the bell to get buzzed into the lobby. It felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulders when I walked through the door. It’s a very small studio spa with an incredibly zen vibe.
My massage therapist was Maria, she is amazing. She asked about any ailments or sensitive areas to avoid or focus on and how deep I wanted to go before we got started. During the massage she verbally checked in with me to make sure the pressure was right and I was doing okay.
It was the most releasing massage I have ever had.
Bonus, each massage room has a personal shower so you can wash the oils off.
