We bought a DVD player to work in Europe. We clarified several times that it would need to work in Europe. The seller confirmed that the device would work in Europe. He even supplied a plug to go along with the device. Once plugged in(in Europe), the device started smoking and would not work. Letting the business know that the device they sold went up in smoke led to seemingly defensive behavior and a repetition of «there is nothing we can do.» Reviews on other sites suggest that I am not the first to have a problem with this business.

I was looking for a Sony Xperia Z1, which isn’t technically available in the U.S. Overseas Electronics and a few other companies had imported them, but these guys had the best price. I was a little sketchy about ordering from them after looking at photos of their shop on Google Street View. Let’s be honest — it just looks sketchy. The guys were extremely helpful though and made sure I’d have the right model to work with my carrier. I put in my order, they shipped it the same day, and it showed up 2 days later with no problems. The phone is a legitimate and authentic Sony Xperia Z1 and not one of those counterfeit knock offs. Since it was imported, it came with an AC adapter for another country, but they included a US version with my purchase. Very happy with my purchase from them and will definitely go back when /if I need to make a purchase like this again in the future.

Overseas is definitely a stop through when I am in need of decent luggage in a hurry and I don’t want to spend much on it. They do a ton of business so their pricing is competitive and you can still negotiate. Don’t be a pansy about it, most places on Devon allow price negotiating. The luggage is decent, I wouldn’t go buying Samsonite from here, but say a rolling carry on for $ 15-$ 20 is a pretty good deal and you could get a bunch of uses out of it. Most people buying from here are traveling to India where airports beat the hell out of luggage. If that helps you decide. They have good pricing period. You should also take a look if you need quality electronics, GSM phones and any housewares for use here or abroad. Again, if you’ve read any of my reviews of electronics stores on Devon, you need to have some product knowledge.(At least know what the current standard /features are of the newest version of something, all to often people can walk into these stores and think they are getting a bargain on something outdated.)
